Embarkment.....2hours from getting there via taxi from Miami where we live till walking into our cabin. Friendly helpful people in all the stops before we boarded the ship, not know what to expect seeing it was our 1st cruise. Left house at 1130 was in our room by 130. Five starts for that.

Cabin....we had a balcony. Highly recommend this feature. Worth the extra money. Large room with king sized bed. Shower head was awesome!!! Balcony was big. When I say big I mean two chairs, one is s lounge chair, and a table. Enough room for two people to eat at. fget the middle of the ship if you can, that was very good. Only complaint, we were underneath the red sail restaurant and from both inside cabin and on balcony you could here chairs being shifted. Little unnerving at 1am and then again at 7am. Room service was almost to good. Knocking on . your door at 9am to clean and make the bed. Beware hang your sleeping card outside your door before bed. Also did not like them coming to our door again at 5pm to see if we were going to dinner or not so they could turn down your bed,put a mint on your pillow and make a towel animals for you. Twice in one day? We were at port four times in seven days. Seems like they wanted to push us out so they would get their 11.50 per person tipping fee....I love a clean room but it was a little annoying toward the end when all you wanted ti do was sleep in or just stay in your cabin and order room service. The steward would look at us strangely when the last day we opened the door and told him to leave our room alone as we were just stepping out for a quick bite. We got back 20 minutes later to a half made heart on our bed and one mint...with the bed not turned down....

Food.....it was very good in the golden restaurant. We chose the open seating and casual dress. We waited five minutes at the most the tout nights we ate there. Not knowing you could order more than one thing off the menu and not pay for regular water,we found out by asking a lot of questions of our dining mates that sat next to us the first night. Water is free as long as you do not drink it out of a bottle. And no extra charge for ordering more than one main course, salad, soup,or dessert. Now the alcohol on the other hand...4.95 for the drink of the day if not in the glass of the day....beware. buckets if beer20-30 dollars fir four beers....imports are cheaper....wine is very pricey beware. The buffett at the red sail was hit or miss and could be crowed. Try the deli, taco and burritto bars very good!!!! Very filling!!!!! Orange juice, ice tea, coffee and lemonade are free. Yes you can take your food plates where ever you want even to your room,to another deck or eat in the food areas. Food is everywhere you just need to find it. The emerald steakhouse....30.00 extra a person .....I was not to impressed. Dressing io also to go in there is hit or miss. So ppl were really dressed up others had jeans and flip flops on. Steak was great had the cowboy 18oz....cook prefect. But everything else not so much. Dry snails, tasteless salad and our server really did not want to be there. Very drape gentalmen. Plates sat for ever dirty.....it took two hours for four courses and they push the wine and other drinks on you. Dessert for me was good,I had the cheese plate my husband ordered small cups of moose which he did not enjoy. We saw of server twice...would not spend money to go back there next trip. Good one time for the experience. Golden restaurant was much better!!!!

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8A

Great balcony not huge but has two chairs and a table highly recommend for the extra money.

Shower head and water pressure unbelievable awesome!!!

A lot of storage space for clothes.

Cabin was roomy for two ppl.

Beds were comfortable.

Need to improve on ac...74 for all cabins is a bit hot. 70 would be better.
