Flight to Barbados from Newcastle, excellent, easy check in procedure, didnt see luggage any more untill it was delivered to cabin not long after we had boarded the ship.Boarding formality was straight forward no long wait.

The itinery was excellent, ten different islands, so we were ashore every day with only one full day at sea.Used local transport to get around, quite reasonably priced. We have cruised the caribbean several times and on this occasion St Maarten was the only island previously visited.

The ship,"Thompson Dream" not quite I am sorry to say! She is a very tired old ship in need of restoration. Our cabin was clean, a bit dark due to the old wall panels. Some of the public areas were needing new carpets, we actually saw a crew member colouring in worn bits with a felt tip pen!! The bar areas etc were all clean and comfortable, but in need of an updating.

Cabin Review

Cabin OU

Cabin 6174 was clean but needed updating it was showing signs of "tiredness".

Other cabins we saw were worse. A Couple we met showed us their bathroom, it had a bath, the surface of which was cracked and chipped and looked as if it could not be cleaned properly, very poor!
