The SS Antoinette is a new ship that is just wonderful. The cabin was very comfortable the bathroom had very nice amenities, the public areas were always clean and very easy to just kick back and enjoy between destinations. The crew, especially the cruise director, Waltor was excellent and always had good suggestions on what to do, the club entertainment was a married couple with a husband who could really bang out a tune on the piano and a wife who was very personable and also had a great voice. She got everyone to enjoy themselves and as a result I got my husband on the dance floor. The 24 hour teas/coffee service came in very handy as well as the on-board laundry room. The entire crew was very professional and helpful and it definitely felt like a five-star hotel.

The ports of call were nicely spaced so if you didn't want to leave the ship early you could select a later time, plus they provided transportation back to the ship if you wanted lunch on board. One of the things I really loved was their wireless speaker system, each tour group only had about 15-20 people and you didn't have to stand in a tight cluster to hear the tour guide, in fact you could wander ahead or hang back and still hear the tour guide remarks which made it a lot better experience.

We have been on many other cruises, but we are now sold on Uniworld because of the smaller boat you have an option of dining when you want, wine with lunch and dinner, an opportunity to sit with new people every night, form new groups, or just have a romantic dinner for two. Toward the end of our cruise we had low water, they gave us each ship credits and when we got home a check in the mail for any inconveniences we experienced. The first time when I left a ship there was no bill for our extras like wine, excursions, etc. Great experience can't say enough good things about the river cruise line and the SS Antoniette.
