We are seasoned travellers but this was our first cruise ever! We sailed with a party of 12, ages ranging from 7 to 70! We found Port Canaveral to be easy to find and we parked in the lot across from the ship. Embarkation at Port Canaveral was quick and easy, no lines and moved rather quickly. We were on the ship in about 20 minutes from stepping through the Port terminal doors. We were a bit apprehensive after reading other reviews so we did not know what to expect. We were very happy to find out that most of the negative comments were unfounded! How could anyone have a horrible experience on this ship! All 12 of us had an incredible time!

The staff was great and worked very hard to please the guests. Meals were very good as well. Most dinners were eaten in the dining room and the service was outstanding. One night we chose to eat in the Sushi place (Ginza) and the food and service were excellent. All the kids in our party had a grand time keeping busy with pool activities, basketball, shuffleboard, ping pong, and golf. Ronaldo at the pool bar was the hardest working guy on the ship- always keeping your drink full! The shows were entertaining and we were lucky to see the magician, Matt Marcy twice!

The Sun, although an older ship, made cruise fans out of us so we will always be grateful to her! We just returned today and are already talking about planning our next cruise! My advice to you- "Just GO", you'll be glad you did!
