MSC Poesia Cruise Review by Denise Mason
- Sail Date: March 2012
- Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation was a mess due to the horrendous queues at Miami airport, which made all Air France travellers late.
Firstly, I must state the the ship and cabins were beautiful, spacious and very clean. The cabin staff were fantastic but unfortunately that is where the praise ends.
A few of the reception staff gave a very rude/abrupt impression when they were asked anything and even gave us false information re shuttle buses to ensure we purchased their tickets.
Entertainment was practically nil!! Well maybe there was, but the majority of it was held when we were either eating or getting ready to eat...Once dinner was over the main attraction was a pianist and a string duo in one lounge.(more bum notes than I could count), a guitarist singer..which would have been suited more on the club scene, and a jazz singer that was hard to tell when listened to if was male or female.
If you expect good food on this cruise....THINK AGAIN!!!!!
If you expect HOT food on this cruise.....THINK AGAIN!!!!!
The majority of the meals served in the restaurants were warm to say the least, and to be served what looked like a warmed up chicken breast, an ice cream scoop sized dollop of instant mash with a sprig of parsley shoved in and frozen diced carrots and peas was altogether ridiculous.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS....MSC SERIOUSLY NEED TO GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER ON THIS SHIP....
