Celebrity Millennium Cruise Review by MILD36
- Sail Date: March 2012
- Destination: Western Caribbean
- Cabin Type: Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2B
First timers, DO NOT MISS the SPECIAL brunch on the last sea day.. it is over the top. Also the solarium Tpool is "the best" Over 18 years of age and no loud music. Wood deck chairs with nice pads.. makes you feel you are on one of the old elegant crossings for a few days.
Also, head to the aft (back deck) 10 to enjoy your breakfast/lunch/snack out of doors...
Roatan, is a very very poor country and if you can pack a few school supplies for the children(pens, pencils, markers, paper etc ) it is greatly appreciated.. I also bring bandaids and some first aid items. If you are touring, any driver will take you to an orphanage or school for you to drop the items off personally or just check with a Head Waiter on board and ask them to assist you with meeting a crew member that will be visiting their home in Roatan and you can pass it on personally..
The smiles you will receive will warm your heart.
Usually, they have the children sing a song for you...
They are such nice people...
If you don't feel like wandering to far and want to do a little shopping,
go out of the port area and cross the road.. there you will find a yellow building with stalls... 1/2 of the price you will pay at the port shops.
Also, you can bargain on the prices..
You can wait and book your tours/cars when you arrive.. In the port there are many reliable companies..My friends and I have used BODDEN tours. ENJOY
They are very accommodating.. I hope to go again on the LAST trip in April
