Sail Date: Mar 2012

This was our second cruise in South America. We had previously sailed from Buenos Aires to Valparaiso on the Infinity (Jan 2009) and we wanted to continue the cruise to Ft Lauderdale.

We spent four nights in Santiago and had a great time. We love the city. We used a shuttle van to take us to the port on Sunday and boarded the ship around 1:00. We quickly toured the refurbished Infinity and liked what we saw. We chose to stay on the 8th deck, conceirge class. We had previously stayed on the 9th deck under the pool and it was somewhat noisy. We do like the Aqua class rooms on the Solstice class but on the Millennium class they are located either on the 9th deck (under the pool) or on the new 11th deck. From what I saw the 11th deck rooms looked ok but I question whether they might be noisy also, they are directly above the buffet and kitchen area.

We took a private tour in Lima and it was great. Lima is a very large city, crowded with severe traffic problems but a lot to see. The "gold museum" was unbeliveable.
