We were super excited for our first cruise as a family and we weren't too sure what to expect. Embarkation was a breeze. We had time to spare before we had access to our room, so we got aquainted with the ship and had some lunch.
Our room was a mini suite, which surprisingly enough we didn't feel cramped. There was a lot of storage for all of our luggage and to put our clothes away. The only one complaint for our room is that the bed (futon type thing) my children slept on was very hard. They put foam on it, but it's not enough.
Our first full day at Sea, the water got extremely rough and landed all of us on our back, or hugging the toilet bowl. Our excursions suffered a little from the weather, however we were thankful we booked with NCL because they offered us a refund, or credit to our account. Having booked privately, we would have been out of luck.
I have heard that the higher you are, the more bumps you feel. I'm not sure if that is true, but being on deck 11, we felt everything. The room was clean, had a ton of storage space for luggage and clothes. A small fridge which is stocked with expensive things.. however we moved them aside and put our own water, in it. The Bathtub is very tall. Anyone who has arthritis, or poor range of motion, opt out of the tub!
