I am writing this review to alert to how Fantastic and supportive Holland America Zuiderdam Customer Service Manager and Corfu Port cruise Agency Team dealt with my unfortunate experience of missing the ship! It is possibly everybody's worst nightmare & curiosity of what would happen. Trust me, I too have commented on crazy " people leaving it so late" rushing back onto cruise ships but as I now ...
Our first (and probably last) cruise was chosen in order to visit Alaska while we were staying in Vancouver.
We found the ship to be well appointed and in exceptional condition if not a little dated. The crew to be very helpful and efficient. Everyone worked very hard to make life on board as comfortable as possible.
Embarkation was a little military in style at Canada place, not sure how ...
We have no complaints about this cruise. We stayed in a Neptune suite and maybe you get what you pay for in accommodations. No one can predict the natural occurrences but we sure lucked out with glacier calving, orca and humpback whales, herds of porpoise, and rainbows galore. Food was very good at all dining options. Activities were fine for us too.
I probably would not get off the boat if ...
SHIP – The Eurordam is a good size ship. We enjoy the mid to smaller size cruise ship and this fit right in to that - not the mega-ships. Even though the ship was sold-out, there were still plenty of places to sit and read and relax without feeling overwhelmed by people. It’s a very clean ship and things seemed to be in good repair. I think the pool is a bit small, but then we were cruising the ...
Never having been on a cruise before We listened to many people rave about Holland America and selected them.
We really enjoyed the trips off the ship and listening to the tour guides. The tour guides were very good but the bus rides are killers, no room for legs, even in 60 degree weather air conditioners need to run so windows did not fog!
Our first night was in the Anchorage Hilton and ...
After my 3 day land tour and torture of the 10 hour bus ride from Denali I was looking forward to just relaxing on the ship. I was not disappointed. The cruise was everything I wished for - relaxing, good food and plenty of things to hold my interest.
We landed in Anchorage and spent an extra day before heading to Denali. Stayed at the Hilton which was very nice. The train to Denali was ...
We just returned from a 7-day Alaskan round trip cruise out of Vancouver. The cruise took us (in this order) to Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay State Park and Ketchikan, taking the Inside Passage on the way up and back. We had fair weather the entire way, with sunny skies everywhere except Ketchikan (cloudy but warm, with no rain until evening). There was a little rocking, but the ocean was ...
We made a group reservation with our family to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday. The entire family was there. Our problems started just after embarkation when we found out that one of the grandchildren who was definitely part of our group had been removed from the group. This cruise was originally booked on a prior cruise and because of that the group was afforded Explore 4 benefits which ...
Being first time cruisers, we had no idea what to expect once we boarded the Westerdam. The embarkation process started about 11:30 am and moved along very quickly. We found our room on the Rotterdam deck aft #7136. Our luggage was already delivered and once we completed the emergency drill, we were soon underway. Our room had a verandah which we spent a lot of time enjoying the cruise north ...
We had an excellent adventure aboard the ms Westerdam to Alaska. This was our first BIG cruise. Our accommodations were exactly what we hoped for. Everyone, from the front desk staff to the staff that took care of us and our room were extraordinarily helpful and accommodating. They were always available when we needed them or had questions. The food was amazing; each and every day such ...
