Poor end to cruise due to cancelled flight
"We had in all 3 flight cancellations, poor confusing communication while on board, taken off ship to be accommodated in substandard dirty hotel with little or no information and updates poor WiFi which again made it difficult to rearrange airport pickup P&O also said we could have one 3 min overseas call but this was refused by the hotel. This made the end of our holiday very stressful P&O did call the next day after our return but my mobile was switched off...."Read More

Review for Britannia to Caribbean - All

Booked this cruise after sailing on a staycation cruise, it felt good to be back cruising. We booked a superior deluxe balcony cabin for the extra space as we were a party of three adults. Embarkation was reasonably smooth but once in the terminal some of the staff were less than helpful. We boarded the ship went to our muster point as instructed and then went to the shambolic Horizon ...

We had never done transatlantic, wanted to do the Caribbean and thought a ship using sterling would be easier. Travelling with a friend, 1 late 60s, 1 early 70s. We had only done Australia and the Pacific Islands before. We booked just before covid started, but we had booked for this date. We booked a suite to treat ourselves, butler and all. He is wonderful by the way. Dining - Horizon is ...

Having cruised before with P&O on Azura we were looked forward to this cruise as we had been told that Britannia is a better ship how wrong they were, staff on Azura went the extra mile to make everything special, Britannia cruise was like being on a floating hotel. nothing was special. Approx 6 weeks before P&O reduced the price of cruise which attracted unsavoury guests mainly in the smoking ...

Having had to cancel our 40 th anniversary plans twice, my wife got us booked on Brittania again! We've sailed on her 2 yrs ago in the Caribbean. Overall impression back then good but to big for us! This cruise? Still to big but what a difference in quality ( read lack of) in no particular order! Entertainment pretty good overall but why did the sound have to so loud it distorted the music? ...

This was a test for me - 6 sea days and one port day in Liverpool. Never had I done such cruise but I wanted to know if I would be ok with so much time on board before I book a bucket list transatlantic cruise in the future. In all we spent the full 7 days on board as we did not disembark at Liverpool as you needed to do an excursion and Liverpool is a city I already know well. As it turned out ...

The whole experience , from arriving at the terminal was excellent , yes you have to queue, to go through all the procedures, But don’t forget you have to Queue at any Airport , Once on board everything is beautiful, it has recently been refurbished, once your dining etc has been sorted you can get on with enjoying yourself , the MDR are have great menu choices , breakfast , lunch and dinner ...

Chose this cruise for our golden wedding anniversary. Could not use the app. All the shows were booked. Could not join what they call a virtual Q for breakfast and dinner. Total shambles and a waist of good money for the five of us. Final statement all wrong with about £300 on it which has nothing to do with us. I have emailed P and O about it a week ago. I know they will not reply. We ate in the ...

This wasn’t our first cruise so we had a rough idea of what to expect and how things should work. Having driven for about 4 hours we arrived at our allotted time only to be told we had to drive elsewhere, off site, to be covid tested, why weren’t we informed about this earlier? On arrival we were told the testing reporting system had crashed and we would have to wait, which we did for about 40 ...

This was my first cruise on P and O previously sailed with RC and Celebrity. Boarding - arrived for covid test which was quick and efficient. Unfortunately there was no information on what to do next. We found out by chance that you went to the terminal and completed all pre boarding checks before getting covid results. So basically hundreds of people crammed in a tiny area, hopefully ...

Disappointing!

We have holidayed on P&O cruises at least once a year, sometimes twice, since 2009 so we were delighted that after the enforced Covid break we were at last able to sail again on board a staycation cruise. Sadly however we were somewhat disillusioned with the experiences we had on our return to sailing with P&O. It should be said that we expected things to be different and that there would be ...
