Great vacation for families in need of a break from the chaos.

We choose this cruise because I have family down in New Orleans, and we really wanted to get back onboard. Everyone in our party got vaccinated before this cruise in order to go on Carnival, and this cruise made getting vaccinated worth it. It was just a short cruise to Cozumel, Mexico and back to New Orleans. My dad and I went scuba diving in Cozumel. We did a two tank dive through CozuDive, and ...

Excellent honeymoon and cruise!

My wife and I planned this about a month ago after getting a deal for $100 per person (port hole window cabin) w/ $100 per person OBC. Our only expenses were the drink package, some specialty food, and a couples massage. Such a good deal we couldn't pass it up. This was the Valors 2nd or 3rd cruise since coming back after covid, but the ship was running flawlessly. We didn't have a single ...

Outdated ship, great service members

This cruise was the first sailing of the Valor in 18 months because of the pandemic. We had balcony stateroom. We had the earliest boarding time and our room was of course ready because the ship had been vacant for 18 months. Upon swinging open our stateroom door, we were smacked in the face by an overpowering smell of cigarette smoke. This was odd for multiple reasons: 1) the ship had been ...

What a piece of junk! Needs refurbished, or at least fixed. I never thought it possible for a cruise ships food to be so terrible. The biscuits resembled hardtack not actual biscuits. The crew is either complete novices, or imbeciles. Dining service was cold and had no feeling. Food was terrible. The breakfast buffet was yesterday's leftovers, and the breakfast brunch in Washington dining ...

Our cousins invited us to join them for their 1st cruise and i’m so glad they did because it was once in a lifetime experience. Our cabin was so clean and we enjoyed the balcony at room 1063. Thank you to Heri for keeping our room clean and tidy. The food overall were great. We liked the burgers, sushi and the buffet. So many varieties to choose from. Always taste good and fresh. And most of ...

GREAT 5 DAY CRUISE TO MEXICO FROM NEW ORLEANS

Travelled from England with 4 friends to Memphis, took the Amtrack train to New Orleans and after a 3 night break boarded the Carnival Valor for 5 night cruise. If you want a fun, casual and informal cruise would recommend. Was a bit apprehensive when we first boarded and made our way to the Lido and buffet, it was so busy but once we were in our cabins and got settled into sealife we had a ...

Can a cruise on the Valor get better than great?

My wife and I had been on this ship in September and it was one of our best cruises. We booked a balcony cabin on deck 10. Some are concerned about the noise from the LIdo deck when you book in this location, but we didn't find it to be a problem on this cruise or the last (on the same deck). Last cruise on the Valor in September, we never made it to the main dining room, but we made a point ...

My husband and I just went on our honeymoon to Mexico on the Carnival Valor. The service provided by the crew was absolutely amazing but there are things to know about the cruise itself before deciding to go. My biggest problem was all the hidden fees. Before we even got on the ship they took a $100 deposit out of our account and then after the cruise is over you have to pay for expensive ...

Very, very good cruise. Could've been great...

Embarkation/debarkation. No complaints. New Orleans has this down pat. Carnival should take what NOLA does and clone it for all their other ports. Ship. Before I go further, I must make it clear I am a fan of the older, smaller fantasy class Carnival ships, the Elation in particular. The Valor. My first time aboard her. She is a pretty ship. Decor is less 70's Vegas than the fantasy class, which ...

The Walmart and Golden Corral of cruising

The food was terrible in both the dining room and Lido buffet/cafeteria. The menu's were virtually the same. It felt like I was eating at the Golden Corral or Hometown buffet. I couldn't wait to get off and eat airport food. We gave up on the dining room because no matter how many times we asked (and this happened to others) we couldn't get things we asked for like butter. I finally gave up trying ...
