This was our first cruise so we have little to compare it with although we'd already seen some of the negative reviews posted. We went with an open mind and not necessarily expecting the best. The ship itself is gorgeous with wonderful facilities many of which (from looking at other ships and reading reviews) must be world class at the moment. We had a duplex cabin, with hot tub, and was as such on the Aurea experience. This meant we had an all inclusive drinks package, my choice dining and access to the spa (as well as other bits and pieces). The MDR worked well and we were able to turn up when we wanted for dinner. It appeared that the other MDRs were working well have switched from the new Flexi Dining to classic. We didn't see any evidence of long queues as reported in previous reviews. Selection of food was good and hot. Meals in general were relaxed, European style and typically took just over an hour. Bread was offered regularly (perhaps another lesson learned) and drinks were replenished frequently (wine usually just being topped up). We had a different table each night (our choice) and therefore saw different waiter/server teams in operation. Portion sizes were good from our perspective. They weren't small, but neither were they large. We were always offered the opportunity for more if we wanted it. A childrens menu was available on every night. Overall the MDR was always flexible and if you wanted some different or more of something you just had to ask. The buffet was large and had a large number of stations. The rottiserie and ethnic counters were the ones that changed every day/night but I would have liked to see a little more variety. Pasta, Pizza, Salads and Deserts were always available. Food was hot and generally freshly cooked at the station where possible. The buffet was open a lot but not the 20 hours advertised. They tended to take into account the grab and go bars which are located just outside the buffet as well in these hours. Childrens menu tended to be burgers, hot dogs, pasta, chips and usually one other dish. I would have liked to see a few more options for children other than fast food. Whilst we only ate in the buffet two night we didn't see breaded chicken, breaded fish etc. ever available. Entertainment across the ship was really good. All of the live music was excellent and on through the evening in the various bars. The Meraviglia lounge was generally the focus of entertainment pre 11pm for many people and was always crowded and busy. The only criticism on the entertainment (minor) is that it would have been nice to have some slightly different styles on the ship. The entertainment in the theatre was of a very high quality as was the Cirque du Soleil show. All were suitable for children to attend. There were regular parties on board which tended to happen post 11pm either on deck or on the promenade. The entertainment team were really excellent in getting people involved. Customer service was very good. They have clearly taken on board some of the challenges of managing such a large ship and the customer service questions that can happen. Queues did occur but were not overly long (generally non existent early or late) and they had a couple of people queue busting the easy ones. I had a couple issues on our bill which were dealt with promptly. It sometimes took a couple of tries to get through to customer services on phone but when I did they were dealt with promptly and courtiously. The boat is very large and clearly aimed at families. Some areas could get busy at times but at no time did the ship seem at capacity or over full and there were always areas of the ship that were quiet. The Aurea Sun Deck was never busy. The childrens club seemed to be organised very well and professionally with an extensive programme of activities for children. The aqua park and rope course were big favourites. Read Less

Dear cruisers, suffering from celiac disease. My children and I are suffering from celiac disease, and because of this, since we have been diagnosed, we only cruise with MSC, as it is the only monitored by the Italian Society for Celiac disease. I have to tell you that although food is great , without any objection, I have to comment on our dissatisfaction. As you just know on all the cruise ships food is available all day long until late night hours. We celiacs are convicted of eating food only in the main restaurant and only 3x daily. Which means that if you leave the boat late for lunch or dinner you stay hungry !!! Since we experienced it two years ago, last year I asked for a new cruiser MSC Meraviglia will the food be available at a particular location throughout the day? Since the response that the MSC gave was positive with enthusiasm we have boooked a new cruise. However, I must say that I was disappointed that everything was the same as on the other ships. I ask staf on board lunch packet for me and my kids , so that we could eat something between lunch and dinner (there is no gluten free food outside the main restaurant) but this was only possible on the day that we had a paid excursion. The worse thing for my kids is walking and smelling pizza , looking ice cream and pancakes and nothing FOR US!!!Otherwise, MSC Meraviglia is really one of the finest cruisers , the entertainment team is the best so far, and the food is outstanding. Why then MSC can not give us at least only a small detail, like an afternoon gluten free snack (fruit , sandwich, cookies, pizza for kids?). We look forward to that day!!! Last summer kids, husband and I went back to the cruiser MSC company just for certified gluten free food. Children and I have celiac disease, and it is very important to eat strictly gluten-free foods. At MSC Meraviglia, similar to the previous MSC Preciosa, the gluten free food is great but unfortunately only available in the main restaurant. One morning we slept and late for breakfast and until lunch we did not eat anything (we took a banana and orange in the buffet restaurant) because there was not gluten-free food available to us anywhere. I also told the lady in charge of taking care of our diet to allow kids to have snack in the afternoon, but this was only possible with the reservation the day before and if you are on a trip. Total nonsense! If they know we are coming, they must provide food in advance, especially to children !!! Of course we were on the cruise when we did not know we had celiac disease then we really enjoy the food and drink. Now that's not possible. The bar with a gluten-free drink is just one and it is located away from the pool, pizza and burgers are not available (this is especially lacking in kids), not to mention ice cream and pommes frites that can only be obtained at the main restaurant. As for the boat itself, everything is great. No entertainment is missing. The kids enjoyed it. It would be great to take a little more attention to people who need special nutrition. AS Read Less

I travelled with my husband and two sons aged 8 and 16. In short, we all loved it! There was literally something for everyone. Embarkation and disembarkation were smooth and painless at the beginning, end and during ports of call. There were no lengthy queues. The ship is spectacular. It is beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean in all areas. There are several pools, hot tubs and sunbathing areas. We never failed to get a sunbed and we don't subscribe to the 'laying your towels out early' school of thought. Even on the day at sea, which was busier than normal, there were no problems with capacity. The cabin was an interior with a double bed and two over bed bunks. It was lovely, plenty of storage and well appointed. The only small criticism I could make that it was a bit dark. However, the bathroom was lovely and bright for shaving, make up etc. The food was excellent. In the formal dining rooms (you don't have to dress up or even wear long trousers if you don't want to) the food is quite special and my husband and I enjoyed trying new things. My 16 year old son preferred the buffet restaurant with his friends. It is also excellent. We really enjoyed lunch there every day and breakfast was great too. There is also an abundance of food available from pool bars etc almost all day so we never went hungry. We pre purchased the basic drinks package and it was fantastic value. Almost all drinks are included (inc cocktails, ice cream, milkshakes) and we definitely got our money's worth. The children's wrist bands are a good touch - he could use it to sign in and out of the kids' club and buy drinks and ice cream. The kids' club was fabulous - he was keen to go a lot! It is open from 9am-11pm and you don't need to book. If they are there over meal times, they are taken to the restaurant and you can actually leave the ship on a long excursion and leave them there! The shows were generally very good. We really enjoyed Cirque du Soleil which is a small extra charge and the show Paz was also a favourite. My 16 year old son spent his days with friends he met at the teen club and playing football or in the pools or waterpark. We didn't see him for a week! The waterpark and slides are great fun with the only downside being the fact that the water is salt water. My younger son didn't quite get to grips with closing his mouth and swallowed quite a bit! It also stings your eyes so goggles are an idea if sensitive. The high ropes adventure is free and was very good, although there were queues sometimes. The service was, without exception, fantastic. I would not have dreamed of removing the gratuities from the bill as the staff seemed to genuinely care about the guests and were friendly and attentive. We got off at Naples and did the child friendly tour of Pompeii which was cheaper and shorter than the regular one and I would recommend it. We also particularly enjoyed Malta where we did a horse and carriage ride. The evening entertainment was wonderful with live music and dancing everywhere you went. Staff were very good at getting people involved. The white party is not to be missed. Parties on the promenade (the dome ceiling is awesome) are also a must! We all loved it and would most certainly go again. I have no complaints about the ship, service or MSC and cannot understand some of the previous comments. If you have booked this cruise then, lucky you! Enjoy! Read Less

I took this cruise with my wife and we are both around 50 years old. We have been on seven cruises before, all on NCL. Four have been in a suite and three of them with access to the Haven (twice on Epic and once on Breakaway). This was our first cruise on the Mediterranean and I understand that some things may differ from cruises in the Caribbean. Our first plan was to cruise on Norwegian Epic but when we saw their increased prices for suites we decided to try MSC Meraviglia and the Yacht Club. Meraviglia costed around $3500 less for a week long cruise. Before the cruise we really couldn’t understand the price difference and now after the cruise we still don’t understand! This will be a long review and I apologize if my English isn’t good enough for such a long text! PRECRUISE We took the train from our hometown to Arlanda, Stockholm airport, on Monday afternoon and stayed at Clarion Hotel. We had room 1132 with a great view over the terminals and one of the runways. We ate hamburgers at O’Learys, the food was good but the staff was very rude so we will not go there again! On Tuesday morning we dropped our bags and went through security. We always fly with British Airways when it’s possible and we always fly Club Europe, their short haul business class. The lounge at Arlanda is very quite but except for that not very good. We got a nice lunch on the plane with plenty of Champagne. Short haul they serve Castelnau which isn’t a very good Champagne but still okay. We landed at terminal 5 on Heathrow and took the bus to terminal 3 for our flight to Barcelona. It’s easy to transfer at Heathrow but it’s annoying that we have to go through security when we haven’t been in an “unsecured area”. We spent some time in Cathay Pacifics lounge. A rather small but nice lounge with a bar where we ordered some drinks. They served Moet & Chandon Champagne there. We got afternoon tea on our second flight with plenty of Champagne. I know that many hate that “meal” but I like it, especially when I get another meal on another flight the same day. We landed just before eight and an hour later were we at our hotel, Medinaceli. Perfect location close to the water and a few blocks from Las Ramblas. The room was very cold the first night but they had extra blankets. It was our first visit to Barcelona and we will absolutely go back again. We found a tapas bar where a bottle of Cava cost around $6, not bad and definitely much cheaper than at a bar/restaurant in Sweden! (Google La Xampaneria or Can Paixano.) EMBARKATION We checked out around 10.10 and took a cab to the port. We walked to the white tent, where the Yacht Club guests are taken care of, and was escorted through security and to the waiting area in the terminal. They gave us a glass of Prosecco and the staff took care of the check in. We were escorted onboard around 10.40. When we came onboard we had to wait for a while before they could take us up to the Topsail Lounge because they hadn’t taken our picture. We probably waited for about ten minutes before they came with the camera and we could continue to the lounge. While we waited to get information about the Yacht Club we ordered a glass of Champagne (Nicolas Feuillatte is included in the Topsail Lounge and in the other bars around the ship, except for the Champagne bar where Laurent-Perrier is included). Our butler picked up our keycards in our suite and gave them to us. The embarkation process was very impressive and much more effective than what we have experienced on NCL. I do understand that one of the reasons for that can be that people can embark/disembark in every port and the ship doesn’t have to be emptied before embarkation. It was very nice that they gave us a glass of Prosecco while we waited to board! OUR SUITE, YACHT CLUB DELUXE SUITE 15013 We had a Yacht Club Deluxe suite on deck 15. According to MSCs brochure the deluxe suites on Meraviglia are a little smaller than on Divina but I have seen pictures and videos from Divina and our suite was definitely bigger than on Divina. It was smaller than the Forward Facing Penthouse we had on Norwegian Breakaway but it was big enough for us. We had no problem to find room for all our things but the safetybox was a little too small. The bathroom was okay but nothing special. The shampoo and soap they had in the shower wasn’t very good but they also had small packages with shampoo and soap and I guess that was better, I didn’t tried it. (=it was no problem!) The blankets were too thick and warm, maybe we could have asked for thinner/colder? Except for that the bed was very comfortable. The balcony was okay but rather small. We did ordered breakfast a few mornings. (As a first, small breakfast we always ate in the restaurant too.) The selection was okay but the first time to have it delivered was 7.30, isn’t that late? On NCL it’s possible to get breakfast in the suite much earlier. If you only understand English and a “small” language, for example Swedish, don’t expect to watch any TV during the cruise. Except for two channels with news everything was in Italian or Spanish. I know, who cruise to watch TV? I don’t but it’s still nice to have it for a short time sometimes. THE YACHT CLUB On Meraviglia the Yacht Club is located on the top five floors, forward. There are suites on deck 14-18. The concierge desk and the Topsail lounge are located on deck 16. The restaurant is located on deck 18. The sundeck is located on deck 19. The sundeck was nice with many loungers and sofas but there was only one hot tub there, too little on a ship as big as the Meraviglia. The water in the hot tub was also much colder than in the hot tubs on NCL. The staff working at the concierge desk was nice and helpful but it felt a little strange with a team working there compared to the concierge + assistants on NCL. I don’t say that it was worse, or better, but it was different and I don’t know anyones name. The concierge on NCL has always introduced himself/herself to us. The design and the colors in the Yacht Club felt more luxurious to me than in the Haven on NCL. The design in the Haven on NCL is a little too much, I think. PUBLIC AREAS We are glad that we had access to the Yacht Club! The pooldeck was large and the pool was bigger than on NCL but it was very crowded there! That was definitely not a place for us! They also had the Bamboo pool which was inside with a retractible roof. That felt like a nicer, not as crowded, place than the pooldeck but it was incredible hot there when the roof was closed. They also had a third pool aft, the Horizon pool. We only passed there very fast once so I really can’t say anything about it. The large open space on deck 6 and 7 was very nice. It was like a street with shops, bars and restaurants. The roof was incredible. (I will post pictures of it in the MSC forum, I don’t know how to do it here.) Promenade deck. Sorry, no real promenade deck! There was some outdoor space on both sides on deck 7 but it was just a short one and most of the view was blocked by the lifeboats. It was also difficult to find it because it wasn’t clearly marked. We didn’t saw any signs except for lifeboat signs. One day we saw a woman go out and I asked a member of staff if it was a staff only area but it wasn’t, then you understand how badly marked it was! We didn’t spent any time in the casino but we saw it when we waited to enter the Carousel Lounge and it looked okay for me. Smoking is not allowed there. RESTAURANTS We ate almost all our meals in the restaurant in the Yacht Club. We were asked the first day when we wanted to eat and said seven. When we arrived at seven we always got a table by the window in the middle of the restaurant, an excellent table. One night we were a little late and then we got another table. The food was excellent and the menu changed every day (both for lunch and dinner), on NCL the menu is the same for the whole cruise except for some specials. The dishes were small but it’s okay to order as many dishes as you want so that is not a problem. We think that the food was much better than on NCL and we also liked that it was a new menu every day. One reason why we liked the food so much can be that it’s very Italian and we both like Italian food. They also served food up on the Yacht Club sundeck. We never ate anything there so I can’t say how it tasted but it looked very good. Butcher’s Cut. We ate one dinner there. We used the free dinner we got because I’m Black member of the Voyagers Club (I’m status matched from my Platinum level in NCLs Latitudes). The price for the meal should have been 19 Euro each and we could select from a limited part of their menu. Everything tasted very good. We had one lunch at the Brass Anchor Pub. Strange that we had to pay for fish and ships when the beer was included in our cruise fare! On NCL the food in their pubs are included in the cruise fare. The food was okay but the fish and chips is better on NCL. Marketplace Buffet. We never ate a full meal there but we tried their pizza and their burgers and that was okay for being mass produced. We walked through the restaurant a few times and it was very loud there. It looked nicer than the buffet restaurant we have seen on NCL but it was too big and too loud. Can’t really say anything about the other restaurants. BARS The Topsail Lounge. The perfect place to have a drink, especially since almost everything was included in our fare and in the Topsail Lounge we didn’t had to show our card since everyone in the Yacht Club have the drinks included. There were always other people there but it was quite and calm. I do know one bad thing. They had Nicolas Fuillatte included in our fare but it wasn’t mentioned in the menu in the Topsail Lounge. The bar in the Yacht Club sundeck. We ordered one drink there the first day but the man I ordered from was so very rude to me so we didn’t ordered anything there again! The Champagne bar. That’s our kind of bar since we really love Champagne! They had Laurent-Perrier which was included in our fare and that’s a much better Champagne than Nicolas Fuillatte so we were there every day. They had a very good selection of Champagne, both bottles and by the glass. We did ordered a bottle of Moet & Chandon Ice Imperial Rose, which isn’t possible to buy in Sweden, and that tasted excellent. Yacht Club guests get a 30% discount when they order a bottle of Champagne. The Sky Lounge. Nice view over the pooldeck and the staff working there was very nice. We ordered drinks in some other bars too but didn’t spend enough time there for me to say anything about them. Except for in the bar in the Yacht Club sundeck the service was always good and we were not disappointed of the drinks we got. THE ENTERTAINMENT We didn’t watched any shows in the Broadway Theatre so I can’t say anything about that. It was necessary to book the shows there but they were free and it seemed to be easy to do it on screens around the ship or on the TV in the cabin. We went to the Carousel lounge and saw Cirque du Soleil and that was definitely worth the money, 15 Euro. There were lots of entertainment in the bars and lounges around the ship, much more than on NCL. There were entertainment in the Topsail Lounge every night and NCL don’t have that in the Haven. PORTS AND EXCURSIONS Our ports were Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Messina and Valetta. We had only one sea day so we decided that we should stay on the ship in Marseille and in Naples. Marseille felt like the least interesting port for us and the stop in Naples was in the afternoon. In Genoa we had booked an excursion to Portofino, a little nice town outside Genoa. We waited in the Topsail Lounge until it was time to leave the ship and then a butler escorted us off the ship and pointed to where our group for the excursion was. Not at all useful and something we could have done ourselves. It was very unorganized and we walked through the terminal and to the boat which should take us to Portofino. It was total chaos when everyone tried to board. We got seats outside in the back and when we finally could leave it was a very nice trip. We cruised along the coastline for almost one and a half hour. It was a guided tour so a woman talked about the things we passed but it was very difficult to hear anything. We had about one and a half hour to walk around and that was enough since Portofino is a very small place. The boarding was smoother when we should go back to the ship and we sat inside, that was okay too. In Messina we had an excursion to Taormina, a small town on a hillside, and to a beach in Giardini Naxos. This time we were escorted off the boat and to the bus before everyone else so we could pick our seats, a very nice perk. The bus ride to Taormina was nice and Taormina was a nice little town. We had three hours on the beach and that was a little too much. I expected the water to be warmer in the southern Mediterranean in the middle of July but it was rather cold, it felt like it could have been in Sweden! They had a café where we bought beer and sandwiches for lunch. In Valetta we had an excursion to Valetta and Mdina. Again we were escorted off the boat before everyone else so that we could pick our seats on the bus. It was a very good excursion. We had an excellent guide and walked around Valletta first. We entered a cathedral which was amazing. After that we took a bus to Mdina, also called the silent city. We will definitely go back to Malta. THE STAFF Most of the staff was very nice and helpful and seemed to like their job. As I said before one man working in the bar in the Yacht Club sundeck was very rude and some of the persons working in the photoshop were rude too. Worth to mention are Nata, our butler, Cesar, our waiter for most of our meals in the Yacht Club restaurant and Luigi, the head waiter. Cesar was always there for us but not too much as they sometimes are in NCLs Haven restaurant. DISEMBARKATION Excellent!!! We left our cabin around 8.30 and waited in the Top Sail Lounge until 11.10. I went to the concierge desk and told them that we were ready to leave and a few minutes later Nata, our butler, came to the lounge to escort us off the ship. He followed us all the way until we had picked up our bags and left the terminal. That’s a big difference from NCL where the escort doesn’t leave the ship. It was a very smooth disembarkation but one reason for that can be that we had been within the European Union the whole time so no immigration. POSTCRUISE We took a cab to the airport and that took a little less than half an hour. The lounge in Barcelona airport was too small for the number of passengers using it. The quality of the food was good but the selection of drinks wasn’t impressive, but still better than on Arlanda. Our first flight departed a little late but it landed almost on time. Afternoon tea and some Champagne on the flight. The Galleries Lounge at Heathrow was very busy, I guess that a Friday evening as a busy time. We sat on row one on our second flight and were served a nice dinner and some more Champagne. We landed at Arlanda on time and after a short wait we took our train back to our home time. We came home at 2.50 after a long day! MSC COMPARED TO NCL The biggest difference is the price. I expect MSCs prices, especially for the Yacht Club, to go up a lot when people realize what a great value for money it is. The alternative is that NCL must lower their prices a lot to get any customers! We liked the food more on MSC but the reason can be that it was very Italian. The service in NCLs Haven is really great but for us it’s a little too much there, on MSC the staff was there when we needed them but they didn’t came to our table every minute and that was a good thing. We have never had a beverage package on NCL but I don’t think that they have any package where Champagne is included so MSC are better when it comes to that too. NCL are better when it comes to information. Their Freestyle Daily is much more informative than MSCs Daily Planner and it’s much easier to see what is happening around the ship on NCL. On NCL they have pictures of the captain and other senior officers and their names are posted in the Freestyle Daily but on this cruise it took five days before we knew the name of the captain! Not very good! Some things we experienced on this cruise may differ because it was a Mediterranean cruise and not because it was another cruiseline. We didn’t really liked that people could embark in every port because that took away some of the cruise feeling, it became more a transport between the different ports. NCL have more than one port for embarkation on some Mediterranean cruises too so I guess that some of the cruise feeling is lost there too. SUMMARY We came home Friday night and on Tuesday we booked a new MSC cruise, doesn’t that explain enough what we thought about the cruise!? We really love NCL but the value for money is increadible on MSC and right now we don’t see any reason to cruise with NCL when we can choose MSC and their Yacht Club. The ship was very crowded so we should not cruise on it without Yacht Club access. We had a great cruise and the only bad thing we can say about it was lack of information. (For example that it took five days before they told us the name of the captain and that the included Champagne wasn’t listed in the Yacht Club menu.) The food was great, the ports were great, the service was great and most of the staff was great. We had a great week!!! Read Less

We had never previously cruised with MSC (had always been with Royal Caribbean), but we were not disappointed. We sailed as part of the Yacht Club and after a busy, very hectic year it was exactly what we needed and wanted. Our check in couldn't have gone any smoother and we were accompanied through the entire process directly to the concierge desk on our floor. The meals the entire week were delicious and our waiter quickly came to know our culinary likes and dislikes. We ate like kings. The pool deck was relaxing, quiet, had spectacular views when we were in port and always had food available when we had the munchies. Rarely was there more than 3-4 people in the pool, in fact, many times were were all alone in the pool. We participated in 3 shore excursions organized by MSC and they were well organized and informative. Our only suggestion would be to extend the excursions a little longer as we were always back to the ship well in advance of our leaving time and it would have been great to spend a little longer in port. We ventured around the entire ship, participating the the 'white (clothes)' night, the Caribbean Party and seeing all the shows in the Broadway Theatre that were offered, they were fantastic. Cirque du Soleil was awesome and we even spent some time in the casino and had a blast. The crew was very accommodating and NEVER did we have any issue with anyone, they couldn't have been more helpful. Our disembarkation was quick and completely painless. We had an amazing vacation and would highly recommend the MSC Meravigila. We have already started recruiting friends to go back with us next time. We can't wait! Read Less

From the start of our cruise checkin to the final goodbyes, the Cruise, its Crew and all the people who enjoyed this cruise was nothing but Fabulous. We got to meet new people and made new friendships. From the first greeting to the last goodbye, the crew was friendly and professional. They made us feel welcomed in ever way. They were always courteous when assistance was required and direction was sought. The food was always fabulous and the drinks amazing. The entertainment crew was awesome and made us feel like part of their family. We were never short of dancing partners and people to chat with. They kept us entertained throughout our cruise. So Thumbs up to Entertainment Crew on a job well done, especially the South African guys and gals on that team !!! Our waiter Jethro, who was always smiling when serving us on the pool deck and eventually remembered our drinks off by heart..big hugs to him. The Gentleman who look after our cabin, was always the first to greet us in the morning with a smile, a big Thank you to him for being able to deal with a girls dressing room. The cabin was small for three ladies with 20kg suitcases each, not very much room for movement. I'm sure seeing all our undies drying in the shower daily must have been quite hillarious. The shop assistant in the MSC shop was quite rude and abrupt when dealing with me, I'm not sure if it was because i was dark skinned or not Italian/French or German. She was quite friendly to customers ahead of me and when it was my turn, she did not greet, even though i greeted her first "in Italian" as a sign of respect, she was abrupt and her facial expression was just poor. I was also disappointed that as a recently gone silver member of voyagers, i did not receive my complimentary bowl of fruit and welcome back note. I was not issued with my PIN, in fact absolutely no acknowledgement received even though i logged a call twice at the MSC Voyager help desk. Read Less

I travelled with my girlfriend since the cruise was a gift for her birthday. It was our first time in Genoa and in Malta. Embarkation was absolutely smooth and not annoying: we had the chance to meet some other passengers and to have fun altogether since we were looking forward to starting our holidays. The ship is really well designed, new and full of new high-tech equipments. Apart from one show that I did not appreciate so much, all the others entertainment activites were really great and especially we had the chance to see one show from Cirque Du Soleil. Food was incredibly good. Especially the Japanese restaurant and the Eataly corner. We did not travel with children but we noticed that both teens and kids can have so much fun onboard of this ship. I would recommend to my family and also to my friends to go onboard and have fun on this ship. Read Less

The ship is really amazing!!! :) The staff is helpful and smiling and everything around was so welcoming! Our balcony cabin was a real haven of peace (in-cabin breakfast was a real luxury!) but at the same time we truly did our best to take advantage of the many facilities available. My TOP 5: - The dome in the Galleria. I could have spent entire evenings watching at this new incredible feature! Stars, planet, rooftops... a new discovery every night! - Cirque du Soleil. I'm a huge fans and I've seen many of their shows. Imagining great artists performing while the ship was sailing is outstanding! - Happy Hour at Eataly. Being with friends, we tried different appetizers... could not choose my favourite! - The Spa. I was in love the whole team... they made me feel so pampered! - The night parties. Entertainment team is very active and engaging... I think the 70s party will be an everlasting memory to me! Some guests told us they had some bad experience with the transit in port... to be honest everything run smooth for us and we could have the best of our time! Something to improve: I wish it could last more... there are neverending activities and we didn't success to do all of them!!!! Can't wait to plan my next one on Seaside!!! Read Less

We choose to be in the first trip of this amazing ship! The MSC Meraviglia is the new born in MSC Family and it really elevates the concept of cruising. We embarked in Genoa and the embarking process was quite smooth. Once onboard you arrive directly in the promenade, the crew is taking you a picture and suddenly you are overwhelmed by the WOW effect of the ship! Everything is amazing, from the promenade to the thematic restaurants, from the spa to the kids area. Do not miss the video show at the promenade! We were in an balcony cabin, the accomodation is fine for a couple, we really enjoyed the view and the possibility to relax before dinner. We went for buffet most of the time, the variety and quality of the food is so high we did not feel the need to have a formal dinner at the restaurant. BTW We had an amazing dinner at Butcher's cut (steak house) and a very nice Italian Apero in the promenade at Eataly. The entertainement is very funny and the staff is really involving people! Good job guys! We appreciated the different music areas and it was great to have the disco in the Sportplex during the night! The kids areas are marvelous, we are a young couple with no kids but we really enjoyed the way the areas have been designed. Great idea the lego selfie bench! Read Less

because was the new ship, was really packed, but we were in the Yatch Club and was a wonderful experience. The butler were offering service all the time, the place was impecable , the dinning was excellent always with the sea view, the experience was very good, I did 17 cruises, and I am an expert in cruises, and for the money that we paid, I could not ask for more. I recommend the Yatch club 100% The captain was very polite and he talked with all the passengers in the dinning area. The maitre was all the time ready to serve us, we do not need to be in an specific time for dinner, we can choose our own time, always find a table near the window. I am planning to do another cruise with the same company next year. I use to cruise with Costa, but the price are higher and the service is the same, plus they do not offer the first class service that we obtain in MSC MARAVIGLIA Read Less
