Good time, even in the worst of situations.....

I've never written one of these before, because the only BAD cruise I was ever on was a 4 day on the old Majesty Of The Seas back in 2008 where my stuff got stolen on the pool deck. Cruising with thieves for a few days does not make for a great experience. You're always looking at someone wondering who stole your stuff, and usually people generally use these forums to gripe and not praise. I'm ...

Impressive ship - horrible food

MSC Meraviglia is a beautiful and very well-designed ship with lots of open spaces for passengers to enjoy the good weather. There are three pools, all of which attract different types of passengers from families with kids, to adults looking for relaxation, to those who want crowds and noise. There are 20 bars, most of which are open at different times. Staff is attentive and the drinks well ...

Don’t believe the naysayers. You’ll love MSC!

This is our 6th time on this ship and our 10th overall with MSC. We are former RCCL and Celebrity cruisers and love this line. Yes, the prices are good but the staff is exceptional and attentive. So many reviewers seem to make things up that are simply not true. There is no “$100 hotel charge”, Ocean Cay is gorgeous and not underdeveloped, the food is just as good as other lines, and their ...

Loved the cabins and Ocean Cay. The cabins and their bathrooms are pretty big but cozy and clean. I ended up spending a lot of my time relaxing in my cabin and slept well. Ocean Cay was beautiful and there are many beaches you can go to and many excursions you can go on. Very clean island. The ice cream there was very good on the island. Entertainment was okay. The entertainers themselves were ...

Never Again.

Initially booked cruise for the low price but that's how they get you. Once on board you get hit with $100 per person hotel fee which you are NOT warned about and then you are nickel and dimed for everything else. Bland food which never changes in the buffet. Every morning the eggs were so wet they were swimming in egg juice. Most of the food literally tasted like Dinty Moore stew. Most of the ...

Yacht Club experience from HELL

I decided to splurge on the yacht club for this one, after reading so many bad reviews regarding the main ship. We were in the worst room I have ever stayed on in any ship. Upon entering the room for the first time, it was ripe with the strong odor of raw sewage. Just lovely!! Our room steward....or "butler" as they like to call them, assured me they could correct the issue. They did correct ...

We truly enjoyed this wonderful cruise. There were lots of good food from buffet to luxurious restaurants. We also had yummy drinks at the bar. We enjoyed dancing the night as well. The casino was fun, although we lost a lot of money. I look forward to coming back and winning next time! There was also a photographer who captured some nice pictures of us. We also went shopping. The Broadway shows ...

While not the most experience cruisers, we have been fortunate to have 20+ cruises under our belt. Primarily with NCL with bunch of Carnival and a few Holland America. This was our first MSC cruise. As we were Yacht Club guests we received all the perks from the time we walked into the terminal to the time we disembarked. A truly amazing experience and well worth the price of admission. ...

This was our first time cruising MSC, so we really have nothing to compare our experience with, but we had a wonderful time. The staff went above and beyond to provide outstanding service. The ship was very clean and absolutely beautiful. The ship was overrun by a large group that caused a number of issues, but we don’t feel that was MSCs fault. In fact, we booked another cruise while onboard the ...

Excellent for solo travelers

I chose this cruise because it was in my budget despite its very elegant look. I would sail on her again. The shows were excellent. I only went to the main theater shows and they were always sold out. If your sailing solo they have daily solo gatherings in the pub at 5pm and one day they also have a hosted meet and greet for solo travelers. The food in the mdr was very good and they will ...
