Not What We Expected

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Seaside

After multiple cruises on Princess, Celebrity and RCI, for this cruise, we needed to sail out of Port Canaveral. Our agent suggested we try MSC. We booked a balcony in the Aurea class which gave us full access to the Thermal Spa. We really enjoyed this entire area, especially the Snow Room. The Aurea "sunning" area was very private with its own private bar. I never saw more than 4 people at ...

The staff of this ship were delightful and so so friendly. The ambiance was amazing it was a very clean ship as well even though it is a bit older it’s well kept up with. The Food was very good they had many options for everyone’s taste. The Restaurant was precautious with food allergies and accommodating to individuals with allergies. I love the attention to detail. The Spa staff ...

This was the WORST cruise I’ve EVER been on. I will NEVER be cruising with MSC again. terrible customer service, poorly train staff, and to top it all off my entire family got food poisoning from the terrible jail house food that they serve. And they charge my credit card twice. Before cruising I specifically asked about being able to get water for my daughter as she is seven months old and I ...

I recently returned from my first MSC experience (Seaside 10/12-15/2023) and in all honesty it will be my last. I have waited a few days to share my review to have time to process my experience. First, I am a seasoned cruiser, having sailed on a variety of lines, in a variety of categories. I do my research before booking and participate in forums for cruisers of the line and the particular ...

I had read mixed reviews so we were expecting some hiccups but were please with a wonderful experience. I have cruised a dozen+ times over the last 20 years on Carnival, NCL & RCC but have not cruised in the last 10 previous years, so I know things have changed, just wanted to make my past experience clear. I touching on the things that I was most interest in before our MSC trip. Embarkation: ...

The food was the worst I have ever had on a cruise.

My wife and I attended the cruise with a group from Cocoa Florida. We opted for a balcony room. The room was spacious but the sleeper sofa was dirty and had multiple stains so we requested a sheet to cover it just to set on it. The steward was very good and most helpful. The buffet eating area served the most bland food I have ever had. There was a group of travel agents on the ship and we ...

MSC Seaside (10/1/23 - 10/8/23) - Port Canaveral Experienced cruisers 20+ trips on ncl, rccl, princess and celebrity. This was the worst experience we have had on any cruise line. Will never cruise on msc again. Pros 1) beautiful ship - msc knows how to build and maintain ships as a shipping company. 2) Cheap fares Cons ** we both tested positive for covid at the end of the ...

We chose this cruise line because of my frequent trips to Europe and the sailing dates lined up with our children's fall break. I assumed a European based cruise line would have superior European cuisine; I was mistaken. First impressions, embarking was a mess. Disorganized, hectic, and the lack of knowledge by the MSC port personnel was disappointing. What I mean by lack of knowledge, they did ...

We choose this cruise because it was half the price of Royal, plus we were going with friends who love MSC and love Costa Maya and Cozumel. They love the thermal area. Lots of the comments will be negative things about the ship. It’s not going to a full/complete review. The cruise director thanked us on the last night for being nice about all the issues that the ship had that week. I had stepped ...

We chose this ship because it fit our time requirements. Having said that … I would urge you to think twice. Unorganized, understaffed, filthy, lots of stuff not working. programming was weak the buffet- let’s just say I’ve eaten better hospital food. The restaurants were eh … with NO vegetarian choices . The steak restaurant had some vegetable sides I ordered but the waiter did not tell me one ...
