We chose this cruise for the amazing itinerary that included Israel with Italy and Greece. We had taken a river cruise with Viking and wanted to try an ocean cruise with them. The ship was beautiful! Very clean. So many spaces to sit, relax and take in the views. My mom really enjoyed working the jigsaw puzzle with fellow passengers and I enjoyed the infinity pool. The cabin was very comfortable. ...
We wanted to visit the Holy Land. Taking a cruise was our preferred way.
From arriving at the Ship in Civitavecchia to departing in Athens, every thing went as well as possible.
Our cabin exceeded our expectations, so spacious, plenty of storage space, large fully equipped bathroom, comfortable sitting area with a curtain to separate areas for TV watching and quiet reading space.
The ...
The ship is just the right size. Not too big....we still felt like we had plenty of room and not overcrowded. We were also able to have some of the same staff and get to know them a bit. We were lucky enough to get upgraded to a Jr. Penthouse Suite, even though it was a handicapped room. We were on a long cruise - Cities of Antiquities, so we needed to do laundry. Not a problem. There is a ...
We choose this cruise because of the itinerary and Viking because of their excellent reputation. The Viking cruise is a smaller ship with approx 930 passengers. The atmosphere catering to adults with a relaxed vibe was appealing. The cabins are very nice...love the heated bathroom floor. The food was excellent. The crew attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the special luncheons on the fan tail ...
Ship’s guests were limited to less than 1000.+++ less crowded!
Cabins have ocean view.
Foods were excellent and never an extra charge.
Service is top notch.
Ports and shore excursions are all included.
Our next trip are already planned with Viking. There was a slight delay on the embarkation due to the guests disembarking at that point and time. We can’t say enough of the great ...
My favorite example of the superiority of the Viking ocean experience is the buffet, called World Cafe. On other cruises I hated going to the buffet. No matter the line, I found the buffets chaotic and aggravating: noisy, confusing, and with second rate food. Not on Viking Sky. The World Cafe was a pleasure: pleasant, simply organized, and with food as good as the main restaurant!
In general ...
Having previously cruised with Viking I knew what to expect and was not disappointed! I heard no negative comments from other guests only praise at the quality and value of a Viking Cruise! Let there be no doubt Viking is at the top of my cruise list! The Viking Sky is not the newest ship in the fleet but very well maintained -kudos to the Captain and crew!
The dining was excellent with a good ...
This trip was a 50th birthday present to myself and a first on Viking. They are very organized, from arrival to departure. We were amazed at the attention to detail. They definitely go above and beyond. The cabin was nice size, plenty of closet space. Loved the heated bathroom floor. We ate at all the restaurants. The food was excellent. I looked forward to gelato every evening. The winter ...
This was a trip my mom and I planned for almost a year and a half. Tuscany was definitely a bucket list destination, but the charming ports of call along the way left us having a hard time deciding where was our favorite. With these excursions you go into little villages and areas where people actually live. Forget the touristy stuff - we immersed ourselves in the culture. Aix en Provence found ...
The highlight of this adventure was the the opportunity to visit the Holy Land. Exceptional service by all staff. You could really tell they enjoyed their work. I did not care for the "class" system on Viking where people who paid more for their cabins got special privileges like early choice of excursions and dining reservations. The free excursions seemed rather superficial with bus rides and ...
