This was a girls trip of a lifetime. We had our eyes set on the Bliss since she was made for Alaska. Service all around was very attentive. The ship staff provided personalized service with chocolate covered strawberries, petit fours and hors’d oeuvres delivery to our stateroom throughout the whole trip! NCL anticipated our needs such as snacks and drinks with warm towels after excursions in the wilderness. Our room steward Pho was so efficient and provided us with everything we asked for. There was constant QA by the heads of the departments in every area of the ship to ensure everything was in tip top shape. The only downside was the photography studio, the staff were not helpful with our questions and condescending. They really left us feeling bad and put off plus our photo order was wrong. Entertainment was top notch, Jersey Boys was excellent. Six was super fun to watch. We had a spa mini suite and the upscale bath products were a nice touch. We went to the spa daily and soaked in the pools. Napping on the lounge chairs was unavoidable. I highly recommend NCL Bliss for fun, relaxation and being spoiled. Read Less

We just returned from our cruise to Alaska. I’ve previously cruised the Princess and Disney lines. The Norwegian Bliss was incredible and my favorite. We stayed in the Haven 2 bedroom suite and adored every minute. The Haven is well worth the price. The Haven restaurant was outstanding in every way and by far my favorite place to eat on the ship. We had our 3 boys aged 13,13 and 12 and they made sure to make them feel super special. We also had a couple of severe food allergies and we never had an issue as our allergies were taken very seriously. The whole staff remembered our names, favorite dishes, etc. I feel I left with friends! We also had a great time in the non- haven areas. The Cruise director provided lots of fun entertainment in the form of game shows, trivia, live music and shows. We truly enjoyed all of it. Deal or no deal and dancing with the stars were some of our highlights! The spa was amazing as well. I even had acupuncture! The kids liked the laser tag the best. The arcade wasn’t huge ( don’t recommend the pass). The race track was fun to a degree- you cannot pass people so you can end up going really slow. But it’s worth trying it. The water slides were fun and our 12 year olds favorite. And yes- they were open most of the cruise. Alaska was breathtaking. My favorite part was Glacier Bay. Just awe inspiring! I do encourage doing excursions to see the beautiful landscapes of Alaska. Otherwise the towns are full of typical shops. Cute- but that gets boring after a while. The crew was The hardest working I’ve seen. With over 70 nationalities on board, there was never a language barrier. I enjoyed getting to know them:) I cannot wait for our next adventure. Again, if you are on the fence about spending extra on the Haven- do not hesitate. The priority boarding on and off, amenities, priority scheduling of activities and the space itself is just wonderful. With over 4K of passengers on the ship at times we felt like we had our own private yacht in the Haven. Read Less

We chose Norwegian Cruise Line Bliss when looking for an Alaskan cruise. Previous experience with NCL was excellent. Price was good. The ship was gorgeous. Lots to do. We especially enjoyed the show's. But by far the greatest shows on an Alaskan cruise are provided by the sea & lands of Alaska and British Columbia. The mountains, bays, fjords, glaciers and whales were just spectacular. We had a balcony stateroom, and frequently enjoyed the balcony to see the views. We went on a number of excursions, including whale watching, hikes through the temperate rain forests, Kruschler's Wildlife Reserve (the guy is a trip), and canoeing. All very goid. We saw orcas, humpback whales, porpoises, sea otters and innumerable birds including eagles. Our cabin was spacious and comfortable. We ate at several restaurants, including Japanese, Mexican and French. Food was outstanding. We enjoyed the pool, waterside and especially the hour you've on the Bliss. Great cruise. Read Less

The Dining choices were all really good, We ate at all the complementary dinning and they were all super good with lots of choices. The Ports and Excursions were all so much fun, I think one of my favorite days is when we cruised through Glacier Bay, it was so beautiful and Ketchikan was one of my favorite ports. Our Cabin was plenty big and we had lots of room for all our stuff. The staff for our Stateroom was so friendly and anything you needed they would take care of it. There were lots of activities on the ship, my favorite was the casino of course I won on the slot machines! This is a trip I would absolutely take again especially on the Bliss!! Read Less

The only thing that was hard to hold on to is self-discipline. The quarters, people, and facilities are stunning. I couldn't leave my cabin without finding it made up and snacks replaced with other snacks I couldn't walk around the Haven (ship within the ship for upscale cruisers) without someone asking if I needed them to get me anything. Haven restaurant served gourmet food every meal The off-shore excursions were easily arranged by the concierge. The 24-hour butler was just a phone call away. The scale of the scenery was grand and awe inspiring. The Jersey Boys show was magnificent. I almost had withdrawal symptoms when I got back home. Want to do it again. One of the things I really like is the opportunity to leave feedback on any crew members that stood out for superb customer service. I had to name quite a few. If you decide to go on a cruise, take this one and book a suite in the Haven if possible. I was very pleased. Read Less

We are longtime NCL cruisers. We enjoy the freedom of making choices day to day while relying on the excellent service. For this cruise the destination was definitely the highlight. The scenery and the wildlife were incredible. The NCL Bliss made experiencing this beauty even more special with the introduction of their beautiful Observation Lounge on deck 15. It was such a lovely experience sailing in Glacier Bay. In addition the Captain made the bow available for picture taking. That was a special treat. The inclusion of Park Rangers to provide the history of the area and to assist in pointing out wildlife was fantastic! We were able to see a family of five bears come right down to the water. Once the Park Rangers pointed them out, they were easy to see but would have been missed otherwise. We enjoyed meals in most of the specialty restaurants with LeBistro continuing to be our favorite. We enjoyed Jersey Boys in the theater and would have liked to see more production shows rather than smaller lounge venues. Our cabin was perfect. We were in an aft balcony and enjoyed the extra room and lounge chair. Service was excellent and all crew we interacted with were knowledgeable. Shore excursions were fantastic; we enjoyed the Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau and a Salmon Bake. In Skagway we rode the White Pass Railroad and experienced the Yukon, a definite highlight. In Ketchikan we took a boat trip to experience the Totems and eagles. We received a BIG bonus because there were many whales in the area and we were able to see them breach, and even sleep. Absolutely fantastic. Loved the cruise! Looking forward to the next one on the new Cape Town South Africa to Singapore sailing in March :) Read Less

From the time we stepped foot on the Bliss to the the time we left. The service was over the top. We boarded at 12:30 out of Seattle and where in an mid ship balcony suite on the 12th floor. The first couple of nights the ship moved alot due to open waters Im guessing. Being mid ship in our room was okay but at the back of the boat didn't find it so great. Alaska was where we were headed. Was disappointed in the amount of wildlife that we didn't see. Either time of year or just not looking closely. We did see pods of whales. Glacier Bay is beautiful and so quite, the water is so calm. Weather was sunny but had a nip in the air. Entertainment was good. I would have liked to have more bands playing music outside as it was warm most of the days and could be out in the sun. Food was over the top. I gained 4 pounds and I worked out every day in the weight room. My husband has a gluten allergy and the servers took great pride and instrist in making sure he was taken care of. I listen to z100 and Elvis Duran being that he’s The Godfather I got really excited about the new ship. I love the ship. It has beautiful bars, restaurants and lounges. I would suggest having a few bars open later than midnight and more late night food options other than only the local pub. After 12, we sometimes felt that we didn’t have any where to have drinks and talk. There was the social club but some nights we weren’t interested in being in that kind of environment. Otherwise the experience was marvelous. I would highly recommend this cruise and Alaska was breathtaking. Problably need more time in Ketchikan and British Columbia Canada. The Canada stop was at night. There was not much to do and an hour after being there all the shops closed. The tours are all very expensive. They should be a little more reasonable for families to afford. You already pay a lot for cruise shouldn’t have to worry about having so much to pay for excursions Read Less

My girl friend and I went on the Bliss for a cruise to Alaska. The ship is beautiful the service was superb the crew couldn’t do enough for you. My complaint is the tea really Lipton tea on an upscale ship. I’m a very big tea connoisseur & I was expecting something better than Lipton teas. Or steep the tea in the pot & bring it out that way.. Also wish we had more time in Ketchikan & Victoria. Too much ship time and not enough port time. Other then my two complaints I had a wonderful time on the cruise. We met lovely people on the cruise and we had breakfast together every morning & some dinners also. I also liked how you had people spraying hand sanitizer and dispensers throughout the ship. Enjoyed the Casino & enjoyed the Beatles they looked like the real group and sounded like them also. It was a very relaxing cruise Read Less

Always wanted to do an Alaskan cruise. The experience with Norwegians cruise line was extravagant the were great! Definitely would book again through Norwegian. The help on board were fantastic, anytime we needed something someone was right there to answer our questions and fulfill our needs. Disembarking the ship for excursions was a little hectic with everyone trying to get off the ship, but the help did all they could to ensure it went as quickly as possible. The ship was beautiful, the food was phenomenal, we just loved everything about it. Our favorite lounge was the Observation deck where you could see all angles of the beauty around you, very comfortable and relaxing, had even fallen asleep in there. Loved the bartenders in there as well they were on top of serving everyone at the bar in a timely manner. We would love to do this trip again, and if we choose to it will be with the Norwegian cruise line. Read Less

Friends recommended NCL cruise to Alaska at the end of August. The weather was perfect. Cruise Director Roberto and the Entertainment and Recreation staff were wonderful. Especially Alex and Una. I participated in several passenger shows which was so much fun. “Dancing with the Stars” was hilarious. The Excursions provided were as advertised. Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan were awesome. Glacier Bay was also awesome. I have food allergies and I was assigned Camilee Marinas Assistant Maitre’d when I contacted the Restaurant Manager my first day onboard the Norwegian Bliss. Camilee Marinas took the time to make sure my dining experience was specified to my dietary needs. My mind was at ease knowing I didn’t have to worry, which made my cruising experience that much better. I would recommend NCL Bliss to my friends and family. My cruise start to finish was the best I ever experienced. I had a blast!!! Thanks to all!!! Read Less

Everything was ok until we started using our cabin. First the bedsheets had stains on them!!!! Then the cabin ceiling and walls started cracking at nigh... plus we could hear weird sounds coming from the deck above us very late at night (we were on deck 15 and heaven staterooms were above us). I’m talking about 1 am to 3 am. Who can sleep like that???? Our steward and a carpenter came a couple of times and couldn’t find where the noise was coming from. They gave us a cheap wine bottle and a $200 onboard credit for the “inconvenience” but I feel they were short, in reality I should’ve gotten a refund for the whole onboard expense account and for being so uncomfortable on our cabin, plus if things were not getting fixed, they should’ve moved us or upgraded our stateroom to a better one, as I explained to management we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and it wasn’t a cheap cruise to begin with so to have this kind of situation was very bad for our cruise experience. On the other hand we had booked our excursion with NCL way before our cruise started thinking our experience was going to be the best (even tho we could have gotten it cheaper with independent companies) and the truth is that at the end it was as bad as anywhere online because it just got cancelled just a few days before the cruise; when we called to cancel the cruise at that point they said there wasn’t any refund or exchanges available and they didn’t even give us a credit or anything towards a new excursion; so we had to pay even more money for the new one. Similar issue happened with one of the ports which by the way I must say they do stay very little time at (Ketchikan), you’ll be practically running the whole time when ashore (some even get you there at almost night time) and even when we missed that port (due to bad winds or weather) we didn’t stay longer at the next port. I’m don’t know about the rest of the world but I like things to go according to schedule or to be compensated for it; mind you this is the third “inconvenience” on this cruise so yeah so far not recommended to people like me who actually care about details on a cruise. Other than that food was great, service was ok (they don’t go out of their way to serve your needs), the ship is very stylish and updated for our times, doesn’t feel cramped (except when getting off to explore a new port, people are coming to the hallways from all sides, it’s crazy); they do have good shows (Broadway style I’d say), you can’t miss the Beatles and Jersey Boys, I’m not an art critic but I thought they were all very profesional and talented (didn’t feel cheap). The disembarkation process was very smooth (they use a camera system with face recognition, very sophisticated and fast, I liked that). Read Less

We were impressed with Norwegian's dedication to the environment. Towels were not washed and replaced unless we requested it. Only cloth napkins and real plates, cups, etc were used for the meals. We were equally impressed with their concern for cleanliness. Hand sanitizer was available as we entered all restaurants and squirted on our hands by lovely, cheerful employees whenever we entered a buffet area. All of the entertainment on board was very enjoyable, but Jersey Boys was a cut above! The acting, singing and dancing were professional and as good or better than other plays we have seen in top venues. Frankie Valli's voice was amazing, as well as all of the other "Jersey Boys". WOW is how we felt when it ended!! The Observation Lounge was also a plus on this ship. There was a light lunch available everyday and we enjoyed being away from the crowds in the Garden Cafe Buffet. Flew in early to Seattle and had decided earlier when planning, to get on the ship and get restaurants and shows scheduled and to do our exploring Seattle on the back end. We were happy with decision. Note that there is a 10% tax on alcohol while docked in Seattle, even with the unlimited alcohol plan! This was our first cruise so everything was new to us. Getting on and off the ship in Seattle and at every port was simple and moved quickly. There are kiosks on different walls with touch-screen to make/edit reservations for dining, spa, entertainment, etc.. The ship wi-fi never seemed to work for us. We had 250 minutes to use and ended up wasting them trying to log on and off and trying to access internet. You really have to let the social/internet world go while on the ship. It was actually quite nice once you got used to it. The NCL app on the other hand, we used constantly. You can pay $10/person to have unlimited texting and calling with others on the ship. That was great to be able to meet up. It was only my husband and I on the trip but we used it a lot, surprisingly. The ship is 20 levels and you are not together every minute. He would get up a couple hours before me and go for breakfast. I would turn my app on once I woke up and see where it was to meet up. Or he might be running back to the room for something and I could call and ask him to bring me a jacket or tell him I'm moving to another deck or bar, etc - totally worth the $. Best things about ship to me were the amazing staff and the cleanliness! I can't say enough about the service provided. Everyone was so friendly, happy and helpful. They truly do everything possible to make sure you enjoy your trip up until the very last hour. I loved that there was never trash or empty dishes laying around. The bathrooms were always spotless and well stocked and always had warm water at the faucets! Same with shower - always instant hot water. The bars were all so fun. We spent a lot of time at the bar in the Atrium just because there was always a fun show or activity or music going on in that area. The Local restaurant above was another great hangout because it has a bar top that ran all the way around the opening down to the Atrium stage. So you could eat (food there is included) or have drinks and enjoy the entertainment. Loved going to karaoke in the evenings. Loved the comedy shows, Havana and especially Jersey Boys! Siglo was the main live music we watched. They are amazing! And they play several different types of shows around the boat throughout the whole week. The dinners at Tepanyaki and Ocean Blue were my favorites for all the seafood. My husband's favorite was Cagney's for the steak. Ports - We rented a car in Juneau at Avis, which is on the walk towards town, and drove up to Mendenhall Glacier and then up to the road to the "end of the road". I didn't care for the shopping in town though - too many jewelry guys and cheap souvenirs from China. They do have a Costco and grocery stores if you need to buy other basics you might have forgotten. Must get salmon cakes (and/or salmon burger) at Salmon Spot! Amazing! Be sure and look for bears at Mendenhall. We didn't know to and kept hearing stories and seeing videos from others throughout the week about their bear sightings there. In Skagway, take the bus up (and back) to the north end of town to see Gold Rush cemetery and do short hike behind it up to the beautiful waterfall. It is totally walkable to get there but I felt like we wasted a lot of time walking through a non-exciting neighborhood to get to it. Definitely take the train ride and hang out on the end of the cars as much as possible for great pictures. It takes you across the Canadian border. Skagway Brewery was our choice for fish and chips - delicious. What I loved most though was the biggest crab leg I've ever had in my life! It's about $40 for a 1lb leg but so worth it! Hubby loved the beer. Loved the shops in Skagway as well. Much better for shopping. In Ketchikan, we booked a float plane tour with Seawind Aviation. Awesome pilot and fun way to see the Misty Fjords. Walk to the river and go upstream and you will see 1000's of salmon waiting for their chance to move forward. It's unbelievable. You can see them anywhere along the river. Our lunch here was in tiny building across from the ship called Alava's. Wonderful chowder in a to-go cup that we ate while standing in line to get back on the ship! The last port was Victoria from 8pm-midnight. We only got off here because I had never been to Canada and wanted to check it off my list of places I've been. It was late so we walked quickly over to Fisherman's Wharf to grab fish 'n chips at Barb's. It showed it was closing but they stayed open late to get the late arrivals off the ship. (The Salmon Spot in Juneau did the same thing.) Their cod is what the "famous" one on the menu states. The server told me it had a bit of fishy taste and that he preferred the cod or the salmon. Hubby had cod and it was huge, non-fishy and so flaky! My salmon was my favorite. Never had fried salmon but OMG! Cute area to walk and see the floating houses. It's a like a little neighborhood on water. It was really dark so we decided to just head back to the ship. Glacier Bay - Very Cold! That was the only time I wore my puffy jacket, gloves and beanie. Beautiful pics. We brought food and drinks out on one of the decks outside of bar and hung out for most of the day. We would take turns going in for refills of both. I really expected to see way more ice. The brochure and map they hand out was so helpful in understanding why the ice is receding and what it all looked like before. Definitely glad we included this in our itinerary. I don't have anything negative to say about the trip! There were a couple times I had a food item that I didn't care for but you can go back and eat something different anytime you want so that didn't matter. The cabins were laid out so unbelievably well. There was PLENTY of storage for all of our things. Loved that they provide hair dryer, shampoo, soap, handsoap, bodywash and lotion. I would suggest switching the bodywash with conditioner since you have a bar of soap already and handsoap at the sink. Us girls need conditioner! Announcements are always made over the speaker and on Channel 2 to let you know port info, etc. Channel 2 is nice to have on because it is a view from a camera off the front of the ship. I would recommend this trip to anyone! Read Less

This was my first civilian cruise and it was MAGNIFICENT! My wife and I had not been back to Alaska since the last century! Loads of changes in that time. The weather was perfect, 60 degrees F at night and 70s during the days. Rain at night only! Visibility was great during the daylight hours, except at sea. Glaciers had filled the bay with floating ice and the whales welcomed us to Alaskan waters. I cannot say enough about the crewmembers courtesy, politeness and efforts to make our voyage special. The excursions were outstanding and very much on time. Our schedule was only briefly interrupted once for a medical emergency where passenger safety was paramount. Although this was the busiest week of the season, the ship was not overcrowded and there was no real wait for anything, meals, drinks or boarding. We had an aft-facing balcony for this trip and it was worth every penny with those spectacular Alaskan views! We eagerly look forward to our next NCL voyage. Read Less

Don’t cheat yourself out of a great time by going with something smaller or less expensive! We’ve been on several cruises with different cruise lines but this is the first one with Norwegian and the first time we bought the drink & dining packages. All I can say is going forward, it’s the only way to go! If you like entertainment, you’ll be pleased....The Jersey Boys & Liverpool Beatles were two shows you wouldn’t won’t to miss. As a Miami resident, we have sailed the Caribbean often. For this summer vacation, we decide to embark on an Alaskan cruise. This is our second Norwegian experience. We stayed in the Haven and had an amazing experience. Anywhere on the ship, the service was superb and delightful. The activities were well timed and diverse. We were treated like royalty all over the ship and enjoyed every minute. Food was delicious, amenities were immaculate and inviting, and the ship itself was magnificent. The destinations were well organized and timed. We cannot wait for the next one. We did complain about the Victoria excursion, Bites and Sites did not deliver the intended itinerary. We did have a walking tour but the bites were literally "bites". The caliber of restaurants described for the excursion were not even close. The staff in the Haven assisted us in rectifying the situation. The kids club for the 8-10 yr old was a blast and we loved the kids circus. We did explore Seattle 2 days prior and had a great time there also as it was our first. We loved the Jersey Boys and comedy and attended each multiple times. We felt we were on Broadway!!! Special thanks to David Contreras, Concierge Haven, for making it all happen for us Quan Qi, assistant concierge with helping fulfill all our requests and cancellations Haven Maitre D's Keith Poblete and Juline Canalang. we just returned from our cruise with ncl bliss. i just wanted to say if you use a mobility scooter and are concerned about getting around with the scooter in ketchikan, juneau, skagway or victoria dont be. we traveled to these ports. my husband and granddaughter went their own way and i was by myself with the scooter. ketchikan i took myself up to creek street and while i didnt see salmon there i walked up a street on the left followed the stream up and the salmon. went way up past where all the people were and there they were thousands of salmon. wonderful site! in skagway i took the ocean raft wildlife adventure. these ladies went out of their way to make sure i was able to walk (which i couldnt) and brought the bus where they could. in juneau i went to mendenhall glacier. the bus drivers took the scooter and put it under the bus. scooters MUST BE FOLDABLE. otherwise they will not take you. went out 2 miles to nugget falls. wonderful site. great photos. i probably could have done the helicopter and raft excursion but im afraid of heights. went thru the towns w/o any problem including the wood slated walkways. there is nothing to fear but fear itself. so give it a try. you didnt spend all that money to sit on the ship. enjoy! as for ncl bliss itself. i cannot say enough about the service or accommodations on this ship. i saw a waiter go over to a man and cut up his meat. even though this person was with his family and his wife was sitting right next to him. staff at the buffet would ask if i needed a table or if they could get something for me because i was in the scooter. they would ask if i needed assistance with an elevator. embarkation was wonderful. disembarkation in victoria was a bit annoying but then again the staff/crew handled it the best they could and even brought me down a "secret" elevator. the food was great. entertainment at all levels was wonderful. a cruise is what you make of it. we sat quietly in the observation deck reading & playing a game or two. we went to the comics and different bands, and saw havana and jersey boys, played bingo and daily games. its certainly what you make of it. sit like a bump on a log and you'll not enjoy yourself. i have been on other cruises. ncl was by far the best we have been on. a shout out to the maitre d in manhattan who made sure i had my cappuccino in a glass. even though he gave me his card, im sorry i misplaced it. my only complaint was at seattle airport. SMS & Sons Int'l. i did not pick up my luggage at the airport to board flight to nyc. jason who is the 'DIRECTOR' was a rude, nasty, arrogant person. even if i was wrong, he deals w/the public and should be able to control himself, which he cannot. how SMS has this person working for them amazes me and is a loose cannon. cant tell me i am the only one who left their luggage and he tells me 'the fact that you left your luggage @ the airport tells me something about you." i was furious w/this comment and made him know it. glad i spoke w/him after the cruise as he did not ruin it. but management should certainly pay attention to him. Alaska has always been a must see for me. This was my first cruise and my first solo trip. It was fantastic! Norwegian has everything down to a science, from embarkation to disembarkation. The ship itself is beautiful with so many places for entertainment, socializing or whatever your heart desires! The dining options are great and will please any palette, young and old. I loved the entertainment. I saw the Jersey Boys, Havana and Prohibition. This ship is so big with so many activities like mini race car driving, mini golf, water slides, walking/running path, full gym. You won't be bored on this ship! All of the staff are profession and so very nice. All you have to do is ask and they will do their very best to accommodate you. I booked all of my excursions through the NCL website. My experience was top notch. My favorite was the 5 Glacier Float Plane Flight to Taku Lodge. The landscape was stunning! And, the salmon bake at the lodge was delicious! Read Less

We had a great time on the ship. Great service all around. Easy embarkation and disembarkation— pretty painless. Food options plenty but in terms of taste, just about ok, however, special call out for the Taste of India station in Garden Cafe— superlative food! Splash Academy was another great experience— ours kids truly enjoyed it! Go karting was just ok and pools were ok. The app was easy to use but would like for it to have better notification service especially, for the events we favorited everyday. Shore excursions were well planned, easy to get to and overall 4 star affairs. One of things that felt like a pain was reserving the main dining or the specialty options on day 1 — wish there was an easier way to do it beforehand. Overall it was a great experience and we will be recommending the cruise line to friends and family Read Less

After doing research on cruise lines, we chose Norwegian based on the amenities and the itinerary, and they did NOT disappoint! This was our first cruise and from preparations and pre-cruise communications to embarkation, we knew exactly how to prepare and what to expect. We boarded the ship with ease and had one of the most incredible experiences of our lives! Our cabin was bigger than we expected and worked well for three adults and all of our stuff (lots of storage)! The bathroom was spacious with a roomy shower. Our balcony gave us 24 hour views of the scenery, fresh air, and the experience of watching multiple dockings. We enjoyed many of the bars and some of the entertainment. We saw Jersey Boys, which we really liked, and sat in on trivia and other games in the Atrium. We also took in live music in the Atrium and Observation Lounge. One of our favorite spots was the aft bar Spice H20 which was adults only for most of the day. We sat in the hot tubs and sipped drinks while taking in the majesty of Alaska. The food was also delicious! The buffet had a wide variety of choices for every meal and a special dinner offering each night that was well advertised. The main dining rooms had lots of options and great wait staff. We tried three specialty dining restaurants that we also enjoyed...we especially loved Ocean Blue! We opted for the in-room continental breakfast several mornings and appreciated the option to have an easy and relaxing morning as we prepared for the day. Overall, the ship staff was always friendly and greeted us everywhere we went. We always had our questions answered and needs met. We did excursions in 2 out of 4 ports and were extremely satisfied. All of our guides were great, and the White Pass/Yukon Railroad is a must!! Getting on and off the ship, even on short port calls, was so much easier than we expected and we never had a problem. We had such an amazing time that we've already put down a deposit on our next Norwegian Cruise! We can't wait to come aboard again!! Read Less

The Negative...Bottled Water should be added to the Premium beverage package. At over $100/day its ridiculous that simple bottled water isn't included. Room Service charge of $7.95 should be abolished. No other cruise line charges this fee. Some cruise lines do charge for Room Service, but only after 11:00pm at a rate of $3.95. The show Havana, should be looked at. The whole story line, including the vocals(The singers simply don't make the grade), need to be Redone. Sorry, but its a horrible production. If they auditioned for me, I'd send them all home and say....Next... The Positive.....GREAT Ship. So many activities, its impossible to be bored. Service was Excellent. The Band Siglo, was the best band I've ever listened to, on any cruise ship in my 40 plus cruises. Comedians were very good. Simply amazing. No complaints on the Food. Everything we had was excellent. Boarding and disembarking in Seattle was very good.....Thank You Read Less

Norwegian Bliss is an incredible ship built for adults who love to wine, dine and enjoy some great music and adult entertainment - all were in abundance. This is my 4th cruise (but first time on Norwegian). See my specific comments and I also added some tips for traveling with kids ages 10-12 I wish I had known before we went. Food: was incredible in every location. Specialty dining package was great and glad I did it. Drink Package: I was worried we would not get good brands or good service, but was quite the opposite. There is no "catch" to this package, was easy to get a drink and was nice to not have to tip for every drink (gratuities are paid in advance when you pay for your cruise). Shore Excursions: Alaska has crazy weather, book your excursions with a plan B in mind - there is a chance your first choice will get cancelled even after you have booked and paid for it months in advance. Two of my shore excursions got cancelled and one was supposed to be the main highlight of our trip. Needless to say it was very disappointing for our whole group. Was not expecting that to happen. The shore excursions we did do were fantastic: Yukon railway to Canada with suspension bridge had beautiful, amazing views, Zip Line over Grizzly Falls was fun for mom, dad, kids and even grandma! Tons of whale watching, great little shops in every port. On Ship activities such as shows and specialty restaurants: my biggest advice to avoid disappointment is to plan your week way in advance. Choose excursions, time you will be on ship with port schedules, book dining, shows, everything you can online 120 days out, or as soon as they permit you. Only way you will get to experience everything you want. If you wait, will all be filled up. Could not get specialty dining reservations changed or added to on the ship (but there are a few that don't take reservations and it is a first come, first serve, I did not have trouble getting into lunch at Margaritaville). Race Track/Go Kart Tips: My 10 year old son had no problem with height (I think 55 inches but check) and enjoyed this the most. Get on the ship early the first day, find out where registration is for this activity and stand in line and get the unlimited package for every kid in your group. This will save you when you want to go watch one of the shows, sit and enjoy the views, etc. while the kids go on the Go Karts. An Adult does not have to be with them. It was a great activity and the only way you can get on it more than once or twice is with the unlimited package. There is no standing in line, you get right on, etc. I cannot recommend more, get the unlimited package! Worth the $199. Cannot sign up for unlimited package on kiosk, you have to stand in line day 1. Get a drink and then stand in line! Laser Tag: unfortunately no unlimited package for this activity. I would have bought it if I could. But same advice here: get on ship early, go to kiosk right away and book your laster tag for whole week. Then make sure you remember the days and times you signed up for. It is on your TV in your room, NOT on the NCL app. I messed up 2 laser tag times (because I was enjoying the cruise) and my kids only got to do it once in the whole 7 days. I left feeling bad they didn't get to do it more than once, but they did get to play 2 rounds and said it was fun. Kids Club/Teen Club: my daughter was really looking forward to the teen club activities, but she missed the cut-off for 13 by a few months and they would NOT make an exception and don't have the parent waivers you can sign I have seen on other cruise lines. We traveled with 5 kids total in our group and did not use the kids club for the younger kids. We signed up on first day, people seemed nice, space looked good, but for some reason the kids did not want to go. I felt the kids were very safe on the ship and as long as they stayed together in pairs they were able to move around and meet up with us after activities, etc. Pool and waterslides were great, we did get to use 2 of the 7 days. Shows/Music: are great and in abundance all over the ship. Really for adults, not inappropriate, but lots of music only adults would enjoy or get. But really great entertainment and performers. Send kids to race track or go to a 10pm show after they go to bed. Volume of people/embarkation/disembarkation: I was on a sold out cruise, we had 4800 passengers on board and I think Norwegian Bliss Operations did a fantastic job of not making the ship feel very crowded. Only had to wait once or twice for a bathroom and not for long, buffet seating was always crowded, but could find a table right outside by the pool under heaters. Getting on and off the ship at the ports was a breeze, was really impressed with how fast it went. Last night in Victoria Port: Do NOT plan on walking to and from the city in the short time you are there. Either plan an excursion or arrange for transportation ahead of time, especially if traveling with kids or grandparents. If just adults and you like to walk, go for it. I wish I had stayed on the ship and let my son go on the race track one more time! Overall I would highly recommend this cruise, and I would go again following my own tips above. Alaska was beautiful, amazing and all I hoped and more! Read Less
