Haven NOT for Families with kids any longer...sad

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

This is our 2nd Norwegian cruise with our kids. Our first one, 3 years ago on the Getaway, was fantastic. We stayed in the Haven in the 2 bedroom family villa and EVERY part of the cruise was fantastic! This cruise, we board to find a sign entering the Haven Sun Deck that only those 16 and over were permitted. That is completely ridiculous. First of all, there is ZERO communication on that ...

Avoid NCL they do not care about their passenger safety

Embarkation I got a taxi to the port in LA and we instantly hit serious traffic the second we got to the port entrance. It took half an hour to go half a mile. I ended up getting out of the taxi and walking the rest of the way. I then had to stand in line for security for 40 minutes and once I got through that there was 'priority' check in. 'Priority' with NCL means anyone who has ever cruised ...

4th cruise on NCL. 6th overall. Prior on Sky, Gem and Getaway. Big fans of the Freestyle cruising. Had the beverage package and 3 meals at specialty dining included in the fare. THE GOOD Beautiful stunning new ship with top notch technology. We had 250 min of WIFI and I had little/no issues accessing it. Opted for the texting/calling onboard and it came in handy a few times. Any ...

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Where to start. I guess... some context, first. I’ve been on a lot of ships over the years, with different lines (Carnival, Royal, Princess... and now Norwegian). I’ve been on big ships and on smaller ones. While Carnival isn’t my thing, I’ll always remember “Stan”... one of the waiters in the main dining room. Nicest guy ever. Made my trip. While the food on Royal is consistently bad, I’ll ...

A very big boat

I enjoyed certain aspects of the boat but I will definitely say that people should understand that the boat is huge and there are a ton of people going on vacation with you. Almost everywhere you go there will be a crowd. The service at the specialty restaurants was probably my favorite experience. Other smaller eateries and smaller areas were way too crowded. I would recommend taking one of ...

Im a cruise lover... been on about 8 cruises and this is my second time on NCL.. last NCL before this one was in 2016 and I could really really really see feel and taste their departure from elegance and comfort to mediocrity... Crowded as all heck!! They had the 3rd and 4th passenger sail free promotion going on and it absolutely packed that ship to the brim. Every show sold out by day two, ...

From the time we step onboard, everything was all in order. There was little chaos on elevators and passages due to people are lost or don’t know what to do or where to go. But the crew was very helpful in all ways possible to help out. The foods are amazingly well organized. The crew made sure that all guests are enjoying each meal. The restaurants are very well maintained and crews ...

This cruise trip was arranged more than 1 year ago. We had never been to Mexico and we wanted to give it a try on the newest NCL ship, Norwegian Bliss. The gorgeous looking Norwegian Bliss was beyond my imagination. We had a wonderful holiday and had fun exploring the 3 cities which Bliss had brought us to. We also enjoyed dancing at different venues in the evenings. With the specialty dining ...

The Norwegian Bliss is one of the lines most recent ships having been put into service in 2018. In the Breakaway Plus category she is always one of the largest ships in the fleet, The activities, cabins, dining options and crew were all fantastic. Been blessed to have been on this ship a total of 42 days in the past year, including a bucket list 15 day Miami to Los Angeles Panama Canal cruise ...
