Way too crowded. Tons of hidden costs. Not a pleasant experience.
"First the Good: The staff on the Bliss is wonderful, every single staff member we encountered was very pleasant and genuinely seemed happy to help. Service in restaurants, hotels and any where you go in..."Read More

Too Many People/Too Loud

Review for Norwegian Bliss to Alaska

We have cruised NCL 7 times previously and would rate each one 5 stars. This ship is beautiful and probably should stay in a warmer climate so that the guests could enjoy all the out door amenities. Instead, there were 4000 passengers indoors making for long lines, crowded areas and noisy. Many of the venues (activities, shows, specialty restaurants) were booked solid. Many of the staff seemed to ...

I chose Norwegian Bliss because it was the newest ship and it's sail date worked with my vacation days but I feel a little let down. I have sailed twice with Carnival and thought they were great. I decided to pay a little more and go with Norwegian because I had heard such great things about them. After cruising with Norwegian, I think the food and entertainment was not as good as I have ...

This cruise was chosen because we were traveling with another couple. We have only been on one other cruise (Royal Caribbean) but I would have to say it was only average. Royal Caribbean has better food and excursions. The food was somewhat disappointing in quality, desserts especially. The employees were mostly very friendly and helpful. We did have frustrating problems with the internet and ...

We traveled with friends who had chosen this cruise before we decided to go. Embarkation was the easiest and fastest of any cruise we have been on. This was our 6th, 2nd on Norwegian, 1st to time to Alaska. The only entertainment we saw was Jersey Boys. It was a good show. Most of the entertainment was in small venues. Even the main theater was small in comparison to other ships we've been ...

because of need, requirement!, to reserve show times i never saw a show. both early showings of jersey boys where reserved out by 4.30 on day of sailing and could sign up on line before cruise. boat had not left the dock and i could not reserve a seat. many of the other shows had same requirement -- did not see a show!! spa was a complete rip off -- they wanted more for 7 day cruise ...

This is my 3rd NCL cruise. We cruised on the Breakaway last year. We wanted to try the newest and largest ship. The Bliss is exactly like the Breakaway. Everything is in the same place, same restaurants. The Bliss is larger with smaller pools. On sea days you couldn't even hardly walk around on the deck because they have the chairs literally on top of each other. Horrible for cruises to Caribbean ...

I chose this cruise because of the ease of sailing out of NYC and not having to fly to get to the cruise, plus the dates worked well. The ship was large enough to house 5,000 people, but beyond that, we were like sardines or cockroaches running around trying to find space to eat, sit and explore the ship. The ship itself was not that big, believe it or not, as the area in which to explore ...

Im a cruise lover... been on about 8 cruises and this is my second time on NCL.. last NCL before this one was in 2016 and I could really really really see feel and taste their departure from elegance and comfort to mediocrity... Crowded as all heck!! They had the 3rd and 4th passenger sail free promotion going on and it absolutely packed that ship to the brim. Every show sold out by day two, ...

I enjoyed certain aspects of the boat but I will definitely say that people should understand that the boat is huge and there are a ton of people going on vacation with you. Almost everywhere you go there will be a crowd. The service at the specialty restaurants was probably my favorite experience. Other smaller eateries and smaller areas were way too crowded. I would recommend taking one of ...

I joined this cruise because a friend from my past cruise told me about it. My brother joined me on this cruise. It was his first cruise, my third. We both had transfers from and to the airport thru Norwegian. My brother got in 2 hours before me and it took 30 minutes to find the transfer person that would eventually get him to ship 2 hours later. I never found the transfer person at my baggage ...
