Although our Baltic cruise in 2017 on the NCL Getaway left us unhappy, we thought we would give NCL another try. That was a mistake!
EMBARCATION -- A breeze. We were onboard quickly and without fuss.
CABIN -- We were in cabin 10872, a starboard-side balcony room near the rear staircase. Since the ship had only two banks of stairs/elevators, anyone in mid-deck cabins constantly faced ...
The Panama Canal was on our bucket-list, and this cruise left from near our home... too easy. I traveled with my husband of 43 years. We have cruised many, many times, but this was our first NCL cruise.
EMBARKATION: Our son-in-law dropped us off on the pier, and we rolled our bags (we each had one carry-on bag and one "personal item" bag - we traveled this way to make our flight home from Miami ...
Anniversary vacation. First time cruising with NCL and we really enjoyed it. Overall we spend a little over $4000 the whole week for both my husband and my self. which included 3 spa treatments, portraits, excursions, unlimited drinks (alcohol and specialty coffee drinks), gratuity, unlimited wifi, and a balcony stateroom. We took advantage of our drink package getting Starbucks coffee’s every ...
My wife and I have done this itinerary a few times on NCL and other cruise lines but this the first time we have sailed on the Bliss and would sail on it again. Any cruise on the west coast is a bonus for us and the transfer from LAX to the cruise port went smoothly. The cruise port was another story though expected I suppose with 4000 passengers being herded through the embarkation process. ...
We have taken multiple cruises on Azamara, Celebrity and others over the years. This was our first NCL cruise since the early 2000's. We wanted a cruise that left from a West Coast port and went somewhere warm. We chose between this and smaller ships making essentially the same trip from Celebrity, Holland Cruise Lines and a couple of others. Boy, what a mistake.
Just a couple of things to know ...
Had some vacation days , so took this last Alaskan cruise. Yes, cost was a factor in selecting this cruise!
Ship:- great clean new ship. Very stable because of stabilizers.
Room:- great room with Balcony, very good staff, the room was made up clean and neat.
Staff: very friendly staff. Don't know how they remember guest name all the time. Excellent!
Food:- just ok. Went to two ...
this was our first trip going to Alaska, we have done the carribean cruises so this was a always one we wanted to do. On the whole thee ship was great. the service was very good and the food even the buffets were outstanding. Now to two small complaints the ship has a capacity for 4004 guests and this trip only 2700 were on board. So you would think they would not have run out of coffee for the ...
We chose this cruise because my husband always wanted to go to Alaska. This cruise exceeded expectations in every way. We were just blown away by the beauty of Alaska, and also by the Norwegian Bliss!
First, the ship. She is a beauty. We received our upgrade request for a spa balcony so we had access to the Thermal Suite every day. It was great.
Our steward was Jay and he was nothing ...
chose this cruise because we wanted to experience AK and the initial price was reasonable.
received an email the Tuesday before we left that negative COVID tests were required, not complaining but, that cost us another $250, to get the 'medically supervised' tests and results before boarding.
the room was made up for a couple and our travel agent requested the beds be split, guest services ...
It was our first cruise and for our 30th wedding anniversary. We loved most everything on the cruise. Missing the portion of our cruise into the glacier bay area was disappointing especially with no notice. Although we understand why it was removed from the itinerary. Our room steward was awesome. Room was kept very clean. Food at the restaurants we went too was always hot and fast. Having a ...
