We always wanted to cruise the Panamá Canal and for $1400.00 each for 15 days plus $150.00 onboard credit was very good value for a stateroom with a balcony. It was from Miami to Los Angelos. We flew into Fort Lauderdale which we are now glad about as apparently there are long queues at Miami airport and stayed at the La Quinta Inn. It was only $35.00 for an Uber to Miami from there, The hotel ...
Review for Norwegian Bliss 15 day Panama Canal cruise (January 7th-22nd)
Cabin #14403
PROS:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nice clean modern ship!
Excellent food in the Garden Cafe buffet, expecially the vegetables, eggplant, salads, desserts (fruit cake) and Indian section.
Observation Deck (deck #15) is nice (its quiet with lots of chairs ...
This was our 5th cruise, 2nd with NCL and first with kids (ages 13,16,18).
Overall a fabulous cruise, our first traveling over the XMas holidays. Great vibe for New Year's Eve -- highly recommend cruising over a holiday if you can.
High points:
Food was better than our last NCL cruise with lots of variety, freshnes and flavour. I especially liked that the desserts and drinks were not ...
We've been on many cruises. Mostly Celebrity, Carnival and our favorite Royal Caribbean. My husband and I didn't get to choose this trip, it was our daughters Masters degree present, so she picked it. My parents tried to warn us (They have been on 120+ lost count trips so we listen to them!) not to do NCL and we should have listened.
First the good: The shows in the main theatre were top notch! ...
We all enjoyed the cruise. My 8 year old granddaughter was happy everyday and loved the splash academy at night which was great since the highlight of the trip was the entertainment. Six, Jersey Boys and Beatles group were the best for me, but the cover bands were also good throughout the ship. For us the food was not the best we've had on other cruises, the non complementary restaurants were ...
We've done 7 cruises with 4 being on NCL, but our first one in about 6 years.
We chose this itinerary because the dates works out best for our daughter's calendar and had 4 new ports we hadn't experienced.
The Bliss is the largest ship we've ever done. And the last cruise was on the Spirit - the smallest in the fleet.
We booked our air though NCL with promotion for buy one get one ...
The Good
The Bliss is a beautiful ship. All the onboard staff were friendly and helpful. The adult pool is heated to a comfortable water temperature. I went down the waterslide with a raft and it was the smoothest ride I have been on. Don't go on a crowded day because there is about 3 minutes between each rider. So 20 people in line means an hour wait. The rafts are brought up mechanically so ...
Because of Covid fears this was an update on the service and quality changes on Norwegian. We are Platinum members and were not able to receive several benefits.
There was not a concierge or any recognition for priority disembarkation. The shore excursions to Rotain and Harvest Cay spice farm were very good. Our Balcony Suite with the Spa shower was well worth the small upgrade it was ...
We have sailed with Norwegian about 7 seven times. Our most recent cruise on the Norwegian Bliss which left Miami on 12/17 and returned on 12/24.
Our first stop was Roatan, Honduras. I know that NCL cannot control the actions of those living in Honduras but the people inside the port area were very aggressive. They were short of touching us, approached us asking many questions, leading us to ...
We had not yet sailed through the Panama Canal and were looking forward to the highlight of the trip. We began in San Pedro (LA) and stopped at various ports along the Mexican Riviera until it was time to pass through the canal. The itinerary indicated that we would be treated with a daytime passage, which was true, but we were disappointed when we were passing under the Bridge of the Americas in ...
