I cruise very 6 months or so and am addicted to it. NCL's Bliss is extraordinary. My favorite ship is still the Escape but Bliss is gorgeous. NCL's restaurants are fantastic and while I really am not a fan of the buffet, Bliss' buffet was phenomenal. The new observation lounge is beautiful and an excellent place to have a snack and drink in the morning. It is so beautiful - - it's surreal. The cruise director Silas was fantastic - - he and his team were entertaining and professional. The nice thing about Bliss - - - it didn't have that smoke smell in the casino area for some reason. That was nice! I do not recommend the spa - - they are nice but extremely pushy. I am on vacation and for some reason I always feel like I'm on a used car lot getting pressured into the deal of they day when I go to the spa on any of the NCL ships. Read Less

Truly had the most relaxing and amazing time aboard the Norwegian Bliss. I've done two carnival cruised before, This was my first Norwegian. In my opinion the Blew carnival out of the water. The staff was energetic, polite and personable. The decor was breathtaking. My favorite spot on the Bliss was the "Observation Lounge" it was so peaceful and the veiws of the ocean or ports were breathtaking. The food on the ship was spectacular and never dissapointed. I ate 6 times a day, Haha. The ship also had a lot of entertainment options from games in the atrium, to pool and deck parties. Don't even get me started on the spectacular showing of the Jersey Boys! That cast could have been on Broadway! You could have never left the boat and been completely content with your vacation. As with everything there is always room for improvement. My few complaints would be that the Karaoke had minimal to no good selections. They had nothing from this decade and its like they took the bottom 4 songs off of mediocre albums. And lastly, the manhatten room both times was a bad experience, The first time we tried it the table was not clean, dirty plates were left and they expected us to eat off of them and were rude when asked to switch them out for new ones, Our second experience the waiters brought out wrong foods and never refilled our drinks.ect. he was probably the least frienly crew member we had come accross. To end on positives. The overall vacation was one of the best my family and I have taken. The freestyle cruising was so relaxed and the photographers captured amazing moments. We were celebrating my sisters sweet 16. And the last night managment was surveying in the Savor restraunt. They saw her sash and talked with us very thoroughly about our cruise experience. They asked for our cabin number and surprised her with decorations and a delicious Birthday Cake. We were stunned and feel that we would not receive such thoughtful and amazing treatment aboard any other cruise line. I had such a blast I literally left the ship planning our next cruise with norwegian! Id like to thank the amazing staff and crew for such a well rounded relaxing and amazing experience. Read Less

We chose this cruise because we had not been to the Caribbean before so a 7 day cruise would give us a taste of the area. We also had never cruised on NCL before so we wanted to see how they compared to the other companies we have cruised with.(Favourably I am pleased to report) As my wife is in a wheelchair we were given priority embarkation and were on the ship within 20 minutes of arriving at the terminal - no waiting whatsoever. We had a wheelchair accessible balcony cabin which was very spacious and had an electric door opener which made life so much easier. Our cabin steward Raymundo was very attentive and pleasant. The choice of restaurants and bars was amazing - we bought a 4 night dining package and ate in the Bistro, The Cuchina, The Teppanyki and the Q Texas Steakhouse. We also ate in Taste and Manhattan restaurants. All locations had excellent menu choices and the food was good quality and was always served hot. We ate lunch a couple of times in the Market Cafe Buffet and the food again was extremely varied and of good quality. We had also bought the all-inclusive drinks package and found the choice and quality of drinks was excellent - The Chilean Rose wine was particularly good. Although the ship was full for Spring Break if did not seem too busy apart from around the pool on sea days when it was heaving with people. However there were plenty of other places to sit outside (noteably the Waterside) which were really quiet. There was also always plenty of space to relax in the Observation Lounge, We had no troubles with the elevators always being full (which we have had on other ships) apart from when the theatre show had just ended On port days they 'blocked out' 2 elevators specially for disabled passengers and gave us priority access to the gangway. We did not do any organised ship's excursions but just got off and had a wander around the various ports and did some souvenir shopping - We particularly liked the Straw Market in Nassau where we had lots of banter with the stallholders. We saw the Jersey Boys show which was excellent (we had already seen it in the UK a couple of times) and this performance was just as good. It made a nice change from the 'usual' variety show options which you usually get on cruise ships! We also enjoyed Havana and the many game-show offerings which were on in the Atrium every evening. Disembarkation was again no problem with the wheelchair being given priority and the camera scanning made it so mouch quicker than going through Homeland Security. We had purchased a transfer back to the airport and this was on a coach with a wheelchair lift so that was excellent. The only minor irritation was that we were dropped off at the terminal at 11,00 but couldn't check our lugguage in until 15.00 and didn't fly until 19.00 so we spent a boring day in Miami Airport - not NCL's fault but the problem with flights back to the UK not leaving until the evening. In conclusion, we had an excellent cruise and will certainly conside NCL in the future. We have no loyalty to any line as we book our cruise based on Itinary. Read Less

Great food and Entertainment. Loved this ship! Loved the freedom of this ship and all the staff was friendly and took great care off their guests. Loved the game shows and Jersey boys rocked. The Cruise director and assistant cruise director or fantastic! I will be traveling with this cruise again. The boat was beautiful!! We visited beautiful islands , oceans and the shore excursations were so much fun. The crew made you feel part of the ship. Loved the observation room and the waterfront very much. Loved the Gelato as well. Only thing maybe to fix are the chairs in the atrim. Low backs and hard to sit in but still overall a great ship. I would recommend this line to anyone. Loved the hot tubes too. Was cool to sit in them and look out at the ocean. Ship was smooth on the water no issues with walking or moving about. Loved my time on this ship. Read Less

This was our first cruise of this size and it was great! We traveled with our 2 kids and in-laws and everything went very well. Below are my thoughts: Pros: - The balcony statement room had more storage than we anticipated. - The food in the main and speciality dining areas was wonderful with good portions. - With the exception of the pool area and breakfast buffet, you didn't notice cruising with 4,000 of your closest friends. - Lots of activity options on-board. - We felt safe with our kids being on their own. - Our kids loved the go-carts and arcade. - Getting on and off the ship at all ports was a breeze. - The ship itself was beautiful. Cons: - For extras like the go-carts, laser tag, arcade, etc. (primarily the kid activities), we felt nickle and dimed but we anticipated this in advance. The laser tag was just ok...would do something differently with that area or offer longer play time. - The service in Taste and Savor was very slow; we had the best service in the Manhattan Room (with the exception of dessert). - LOTS of partying going on around the pool so my kids got an eyeful at times. Not sure if this was because it was a spring break crowd or a smaller pool area. We weren't sure what to expect with a ship this size and we were delightfully surprised. It was a wonderful experience and something we'd consider again. Read Less

We read lots of reviews of this ship and committed to keeping an open mind despite some of the poor reviews of service and food on board. Never having cruised before, we didn't have anything with which to compare experiences. By the time we disembarked in Miami, we were convinced that those previous cruisers who whined about lots of things were unfair to Norwegian. We have travelled extensively throughout the world, and lived on three different continents, so we are knowledgeable travellers, just not about cruising. Now, we feel qualified to offer some opinions (below), even though this was just one cruise. ** Embarkation. It was easy. We took Uber to the Port from our hotel, as we arrived in Miami the previous night-- always a smart move when cruising, you don't want to miss the ship because of flight delays on the day of travel. We left our luggage with the curbside porter, already tagged with the ship luggage tags printable online from your edocs. No wait. Walked in, had our edocs and passports ready, and got room keys immediately, even though rooms not ready for a couple hours. **First day on board: After getting room keys, went to the Garden Cafe (the buffet). It was overcrowded, difficult to find seating that day at noon, but we never had problems finding seating in the buffet for the next 6 days. First observation: people are determined to get their "money's worth." I have never witnessed so many overindulging adults scooping mountains of food on their multiple plates, as if this was the last meal you were going to have on board for a week. It was disgraceful how much food was wasted on that first meal of the cruise. We relaxed and had a small meal at the buffet before heading to our stateroom at 3 pm. Announcements were made when cabins were ready. **Stateroom. It was larger than we imagined. Absolutely comfortable in every way, and the bathroom was generous in size, larger than some hotel bathrooms. Apart from some leftover trash in the storage cubicles, it was clean. Met our stateroom attendant. **Dining. What's not to like? We could not comprehend some previous reviewers' complaints about food quality or choices. We are not "foodies", but we have had lots of buffets in our lifetime, as well as restaurant meals, and the Bliss was excellent. Nice layout, awesome food, considering there are over 4000 people on board to serve. We did not eat in any speciality restaurants and glad we didn't . . . . the main dining rooms were fine, the Local was good, and the buffet was simply terrific. Never had waits for seating. **Service. Oh my goodness, every single crew member we encountered were smiling and friendly. Everyone. Again, don't believe other reviews that say the crew was grumpy. We had "friends" on the staff in dining venues, entertainment, guest services, everyone. They remembered our names, which was amazing. Maybe because we understood how how they all worked and recognized them as fellow humans, and not personal "servants." **Drinking. We don't drink, so this was easy . . . no bar interactions. However, we didn't witness long queues at any bar on ship. We did observe that once more, human nature, people try to get their "money's worth." Watching the inebriated folks on ship was not fun. **Entertainment. Awesome. We saw the Jersey Boys twice, they were that good. Saw Havana once, and the Beatles Show twice. Also saw a comedy show. Participated in different activities in the Atrium (didn't buy in to any of the games that cost money). In sum, I'd go again. It was great value. The ship and crew were awesome in every way. Your fellow passengers . . . . well, it's not Norwegian's fault who is on board. In many cases, these folks were just plain rude. But, I can't blame Norwegian for that. Some PhD student in psychology needs to do their dissertation on human nature when put on a ship for seven days with unlimited food and alcohol. Read Less

Our cruise started out in Miami and we were all very excited for our trip go begin. We managed to find a the beautiful water front deck on floor 8 and looked out over the back of the boat as it pulled out of port. This became a bit of a tradition as we would go watch the amazing views from that deck every time we left a port. The next thing we did after that was grab something to eat. Our first experience of food on the Bliss was at the garden Cafe which was a buffet style restaurant. The food there was as a good as you can expect for a buffet like that on a cruise ship, but it was still not amazing and the menu never changed except for the deserts they offered. From then on we mostly ate at the other restaurants unless all we wanted was a quick snack. The other complimentary dining we ate at was the Manhattan and Taste/Savour. They were all very good. We also ate a a few of the specialty restaurants such as the Cuccina and Los Lobos. They cost extra but the food was delicious and it was well worth it. The pool deck itself was a bit underwhelming. The pools were not very large and it was hard to find lounge chairs to sit on. There was a small water park the child in our group seemed to enjoy, but the slideboptions were not great for someone a bit older. There was a tube waterslide which was again more child friendly. The over the water slide should have been more thrilling but there is a part where the slide goes back up, and anyone who is smaller such as myself will be unable to generate enough force to get back up and get stuck. Luckily they anticipated this problem and had a hatch I could crawl out of so I wasn’t really that stuck, but it was a bit disappointing, and anyone who hadn’t known about the hatches previously or is claustrophobic might get a bit panicked. The go karting and laser tag was a lot of fun, but cost extra. They also had a small mini putt course and ping pong tables available to you for free. There was a lot of great entertainment on the cruise. The shows we went to, jersey boys and Havana we very well done. They did movies on the deck at night, as well as dance parties. They hosted game shows on deck 6 and so many other great activities. A personal favourite of mine was the towel animal folding seminar. As long as you were paying attention to what was happening on the cruise there was always something to do. The crew on the boat was absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure you were happy. They were always smiling, friendly and incredibly kind. 11/10 for them. No particularl example comes to mind because every encounter with the crew was a positive one. We didn’t partake in any of the cruise organized excursions on shore, but we didn’t have to. Even just wandering around the islands and figuring things out on our one was a lot of fun. Getting on and off the boat was a very easy process so long as you avoided the peak times. Because we didn’t do any of the official excursions we were able to take our time at breakfast and then exit the boat when the lines were shorter. We were off the boat in a minute. Renetering the boat was equally as pleasant. There was water and wet clothes waiting for us before we entered the boat and the security to get back on was efficient and took almost no time. The teens club (I’m 17) was not great. There was a small dance floor, but when I went no one seemed to want to dance. I ended up just talking to the two friends I already knew and we ditched the club to go outside instead. I didn’t go back. This probably had more to do with the other teens on the boat then the club though. The splash academy for slightly older children aged 5-12 or something seemed to have a better program. The small girl we went with loved and always wanted to go back in the evening. My favourite spots on the boat we definitely the previously mentioned outdoor deck on floor 8 and the observation lounge. Both were just very calm peaceful places were you could relax and look over the beautiful ocean something I very much loved doing. Everywhere in the boat was beautiful, even our cabin (though it felt a tad bit small) and I could have spent the entire cruise just exploring the magnificent ship. Overall the cruise was an amazing time and I would definitely go on a NCL cruise again. Read Less

The Bliss lived up to all the hype. It was Eastern Caribbean to St Thomas, Tortola, and Bahamas. Embarking was the only disappointment. We boarded right at noon and went to sign up for the Race Track and some comedy shows. The first slot for the Race Track we could book was Thursday at 5PM. I think NCL should take a lesson from Disney and adopt some type of fast pass system. We did book Jersey Boys and Havana before boarding, and we were able to book a comedy show. Our room was an Aft Balcony. Can't beat the sunsets. Specialty Dining was excellent at Cagney's for Filet, Tepanyaki's for Hibachi Steak and Q for Texas BBQ. The band that played at Q was disappointing. I felt like they were the country band that performed with Belushi in the Blues Brothers Movie. I would have preferred this century Country music, or, even a DJ. Best excursion was Turtle Cove Snorkeling in the Cat VI. We saw quite a few turtles and the crew was excellent pointing out all the islands and telling what fish to look for in the water. Another excursion we went on was Virgin Gorda Baths at Tortola. I enjoyed it, but, the reviews I had read said it was too crowded. They were correct, too many people. Read Less

We have been excited for this cruise since we booked it back in November. This was our honeymoon and had everything we wanted in a cruise ship. We were immediately blown away from our check in. From the time we stepped out of our cab and onto the ship qas a total of 8 minutes. We have had multi hour waits before. The ship is beautiful from top to bottom. Modern and elegant but not over the top. We truly loved the Waterfront feature and that was where we gravitated to every night. All the tasty beverages, with the music but without the crowds. The one detractor from this cruise is the Bliss Theater. The entertainment was not to the caliber in which we expected. The theater is built over top of what we can only figure is one of the dance clubs. The late night performances compete with the pulsating sounds below. We literally could not hear Havana over the party going on downstairs. The food was above expectations and we would suggest Specialty Dining for sure...but our best meals were literally in the Manhattan Room. Spa is amazing...but pricey. Room is good. This is a great mid runner between entry level and luxury cruising. Read Less

I have made a habit of cruising NCL out of Miami on the second week of march. Last few years I was on the Escape, this year the Bliss took over the route. I usually show up at the port after lunch after the crowds so enbarcation was a breeze. From curb to stateroom took less than 15 minutes. Not bad on a sold out ship spring break week cruise. The ship is brand new and it shows. It is a nice mature version of the Breakaway class ships. They finally got the main pool deck right, and made the common open spaces larger or at least feel less enclosed. The new observation deck and upgraded Garden Café are absolutely amazing. My cabin was a solo studio and to my surprise they replaced the corridor facing window with a video screen with a live feed from one of the sides of the ship. This is MUCH more useful than the silly useless windows they had on older ships. Included MDR food was some of the best I've had on an NCL ship and the selections in the Garden Café were seriously top notch (a 5000% improvement on what I had on the Getaway). Bar service was fast and efficient, I never had to wait to be served. Entertainment was up to the usual NCL standards, Jersey Boys in the theatre was a fun ride thru history. Game shows and dance parties were fun and well attended thanks to the Cruise Director's staff really going all out. The Beatles cover band put on an exceptional show in the ship's Cavern Club. Travelling in the Solo Studios, I attended the 5pm solo travellers meetups in the Solo Lounge. Our Solo Host nicknamed "Junior" was superb! He organised our dinners, theatre shows, activities like Go Carts and Laser Tag, and encouraged us to attend the game shows and dance parties. Thanks to his great - and fun - personality and always giving 150% we formed a fun group of solo travellers that gelled very well together and most of us have already booked another cruise together on the Escape next year! Ports were St-Thomas, Tortola and Nassau. I scuba dived in St-Thomas and Nassau, snorkelled again in Tortola. The dives were great, the snorkelling in Tortola was ok, but sadly in BVI the reefs have not recovered from hurricane Irma yet. Debarkation was a breeze! They are using a trial of the new debarkation procedure with the Customs and Immigration agents screening passengers ON the ship (they set up a "customs office" in the MDR) so after walking off you just pick up your luggage in the terminal and walk out. It was quick and efficient. I'd say this was my best NCL cruise to date. I've been on a few of their ships and the Bliss kicked it up a notch. Read Less

We arrived in Miami 3 days prior to our Cruise to take advantage of cheap airfare and to give us a greater time buffer in case of travel difficulties. All went smooth. We stayed again at the Holiday Inn downtown for the three nights. An older hotel but nice staff and a great location. Across the street from Bayside Market Place which is a great place to spend time. Many shops, restaurants and water tours. Also a quick cab ride away from the Cruise terminal on embarkation day. If there is a game, also a two block walk from the Miami Heat basketball arena. We arrived a little early on embarkation day but were on the ship by 11:00. The terminal is older but the new terminal is supposed to be done sometime this fall and so far looks impressive. Having cruised on the Getaway and three times on the Escape, we were pretty well acquainted with the basic layout, which is similar. NCL must read these reviews, however, as there were several significant improvements over her sister ships. Most notably, the often criticized smoke smell from the casino has been well addressed with an enclosed smoking area within the casino. I really liked the buffet in the front of the ship vs. the rear placement on the other ships. A great view there, and also from the observation area, one deck below. I also liked that they moved the Le Bistro restaurant from the mid deck to the area previously used as a teen club and arcade. I liked that they moved these areas downstairs, next to the other youth facilities. The Go Carts were a blast and I see that there will be a larger version with some of the track extending over the edge of the ship on the upcoming Encore. A word of caution, however. We got splattered by specks of "black rain" while waiting for our turn to drive. If the wind is pushing the ships funnel exhaust over that area, beware and wear old and or dark colored t-shirts. I got about 20 splatters on my white shirt. We ate at Savor, Taste, the buffet, and The Local for the complementary restaurants. All very good with great service. We also enjoyed the specialty restaurants Los Lobos (Mexican), Cagneys (steakhouse), and Ocean Blue (seafood). All exceeded our expectations for quality, presentation and service. A true treat for someone like me who is not too fussy.... I read many of the other reviews on the ship prior to sailing. I found the staff from top to bottom well groomed, trained and extremely pleasant and helpful. We had the good fortune of meeting the assistant bar manager Haide Balon and Hotel Director's Secretary Kathleen Francisco. Both of them followed up with us several times to make sure we were happy and having a great cruise. We also were very happy to be able to see our good friends and great bartenders Rommel and Michael. These guys are great! My suggestion to having a great cruise is having the right frame of mind. You are on a ship with 4000+ other passengers. While NCL does a great job dispersing the crowd, there may be some times which you may have to wait a couple minutes for an elevator, or a drink or whatever. If you smile and are pleasant with the crew it makes them feel better and should also make you feel better...Unfortunately, I witnessed some people who were rude to the crew who work 12 hour days, seven days a week for 9-10 month contracts. Bring some cash, spread it around instead of wasting it all in the casino... St Thomas was an early cab to Coki beach. Get there before the crowd if you want a good spot. A beautiful beach with nice sand and great snorkeling to the right by the rocks. The large (3') weird looking silver fish swimming around is not a shark but a remora. I had never seen one before and had to ask a nice lady at the dive shop. If you rent gear there they will give you dog treats to feed the fish. It helps to let them get a little mushy. Go to the left end of the beach and you may see large iguanas. The beach gets a little crowded by noon. A good time to head back to the ship or do some shopping. We chartered a boat in Tortola from Island Time Charters. Julien Johnson is the owner and has several boats of different sizes. All clean and well maintained. He skippered ours for the day and was an excellent guide and captain. He made sure we were back to the ship on time but also gave us the full experience and the trip was an excellent value. We were able to snorkel two different spots and spend a couple of hours at White Bay's Soggy Dollar. Nassau was an extra sea day for us. A chance to do the water slides as much as we wanted, without waiting in line. The drop slide is intense! A fair amount of light people were getting stuck in the middle but the crew quickly gets you out though strategically located hatches. Not a problem for me. Plenty of momentum.. The balcony cabin was nice. Remember to bring an extra card to put in the slot by the door as you come in, to keep the electricity on. Also, if you have a CPAP machine, bring an extension cord as there are no plug ins by the bed... Vacations are what you make of them. We have enjoyed all of our previous cruises with NCL and are looking forward to more. Read Less

Overall, it was a great cruise! Embarkation went smoothly, just a little confusing initially with Bliss using two terminals. A huge perk was being expedited through security! A half hour from parking the car to stepping onboard! Our cabin was available just short of 1pm and our luggage was in the cabin at 3:30!!! The dining was incredible! Cagney's was excellent, as usual. Service was incredibly fast, we had our food about 15 minutes after we sat down! Los Lobos was very good. Guacamole was handmade at your table and served with spiced chips that added just the right punch to the guac! A little pricey for the servings, but not horribly. What to say about Teppanyaki? That is the most consistent restaurant I’ve ever visited. The food is always excellent and the chefs very friendly and entertaining. Q was the one that really shone for me! The service was amazing, the portions were big, and the food was awesome! I had the platter, the sausage and brisket were really good, but the ribs and chicken were the highlight! Just enough sauce to tastes great and not have run down to my elbows! The entertainment was pretty flat for me. Jersey Boys and Havana just didn’t grab me. The music and singing were fantastic, but there were more, non-musical elements, that dragged them out. Happy Hour Prohibition was WOW! It was in the Social Club, so a significantly more intimate location that made the interactive parts of the show way more fun. Five drinks were included and they were mixed strong! The girls were amazing! Great voices and it looked like they were having a blast performing, especially when they messed with members of the audience! It is adult only, and if you are easily offended by sexual innuendo you may want to pass. We went to one theme party, Caliente, and were really disappointed with it. It’s billed as “...featuring pop/Latin music.” It didn’t. It was just electronic rave music. Basically, Glow Party with a new name. The usual game shows were there, the dance contest and the Not so Newlywed game are always hysterical!! There weren’t as many dance classes as the other NCL ships we’ve been on. Three on a 7-day cruise. We were 50/50 with the excursions. The Champagne Snorkel and Cruise in St Thomas was fantastic! We were on the catamaran The Dancing Dolphin. The cat was very clean and well maintained and the crew was incredible!! Captain Val, Hope, and Brandon were very professional and super friendly! They kept everything upbeat and made sure the rum punch and champagne flowed on the way back! We also made a quick run up to Paradise Point on the Sky Ride. $21 but the view is amazing!! Check it out on Google images!! The second excursion was a cruise over to Virgin Gorda and the Baths. It’s a snorkel in and out so, if you can’t swim, look at another way to visit. If you’ve never been to the Baths, it’s a pretty neat thing to see. CRAZY crowded, but neat. Our crew on this one didn’t inspire confidence in us. The two deck hands didn’t really seem to know what they were doing. When we left Virgin Gorda, one of them didn’t finish untying us from the anchor point so they snapped a rope, the Captain was so involved with that, he almost hit another boat. He stopped the boat after some of us started yelling for him to stop. We didn’t get off the ship at Nassau, but the majority of the passengers did. The hot tubs, pools, go-kart track, and ocean loops were pretty much empty. The go-karts were fun, very, very busy usually. The Ocean Loops water slide was a blast! One really cool memory is Wyland, the artist who designed the hull art for the Bliss, was on board. He did two paintings/watercolors at 678 Ocean Place (the atrium) every day. He’s a really nice guy and appears to really like interacting with his fans! He was always talking to us, he’d take photos with us holding his just finished painting, and just really cool. He usually had to be dragged out by his rep. I would definitely do this cruise again! The crew was incredible! We’ve always had great crews, but this one just took it a step further! The Cruise Director and his assistant (Silas and Alex) were everywhere and always full of energy. I had the biggest smile watching Silas dance with a little girl, about 8 or so, in Spice H2O! He made that little one’s night! Our concierge and butler were on our cruise 18 months ago on the Epic and they remembered us! Read Less

We had all great experiences on the Bliss ! A hugh thankyou to our cabin guy Ramundo Awsome!!!! The food and entertainment was great ! Lots of fun in the atrium! Great shows ! The ship was immaculate! Excursions were a little too short . It would have been nice if the atrium shows could have been shown on the big screen on deck as atrium got crowded. The pool deck screen was underutilized. More stuff could have been shown on it instead of screensaver type stuff. I would definitely take this cruise again staff were very nice . They were all super friendly and went out of their way to take care of us. I think they may want to look into the slide that hangs over the pool side . I got stuck in it and had to climb out the trap door on the side.! Apparently this happens frequently , I was told I wasn’t big enough . I am 5ft 3 and average weight . Read Less

We loved this whole experience. Everything was great! Service was amazing. Embarkation and Disembarkation were both very easy. The ship is beautiful. Make sure to take advantage of every thing they offer. Free entertainment and free jewelry. Cabins are beautiful! Make sure to get one with a Balcony. Don't settle for an cabin with out one. They make the experience 100 times more enjoyable. Dining: Where to start: Cagneys is hands down the best steak I have ever had! Taste and Manhattan Room were awesome. Savor was terrible, Service was bad, food was bad. The whole experience in that restaurant was terrible. The staff is not helpful. Make sure to see Jersey Boys!!! Awesome show! The 4 guys of the group are so good! The guy playing Frankie Vallie was the best. My room service was amazing! If you get floor 13 you will be taken care of greatly. Vergillio was my steward and he was amazing! Port excursions were fun and very worth it. We had 2 children with us. My son is 10 and my daughter is 7. They absolutely loved splash academy! They begged to go all day everyday!! Make sure to have your children check it out! I would go again and again! It is so fun! The bilss was amazing. I would Cruise NCL again. Read Less

We joined a group of friends that were already booked on this cruise so we didn’t really choose. Let me say that they made the right choice! As far as bang for your buck goes, this ship has it all. Great for families as well as adults with plenty to do for everyone. We had the ultimate beverage package so there really were no extras unless you do some of the specialty dining. Specialty dining was nice but not necessary as the food in the dining rooms was phenomenal as was the staff all over the ship. The go carts and laser tag are extra but reasonably priced and both were surprisingly fun. Yes the pool area can get crowded on sea days but it was bearable and, somewhat, enjoyable. There is stuff going on all over the ship to keep the crowds spread out so you don’t really feel that there are 4000 plus passengers on board. The boarding and disembarking of the ship is done with fluidity. I would really recommend this ship to anyone looking to have a ball on a budget....relatively speaking. Read Less

This was our first NCL cruise and we selected the Bliss because it was a new ship and it included an upscale Haven area. I have cruised for many years but this was my husband's first cruise and he thoroughly enjoyed himself. The seas were calm despite it being windy. We stayed in cabin 18106 and our steward Randolf was excellent. He greeted us every time with a huge smile on his face. His towel animals were priceless especially the hanging monkey. If you are lucky enough to be assigned to one of his cabins you will be amazed. Roland our butler was outstanding. He always made sure all of our requests were taken care of in a smiling professional manner. His snack choices were great. Roland was so knowledgeable he could be the Concierge. As we were leaving we learned he was going to take over for Patrick our Concierge for a week while Patrick was off the ship. We were thrilled for him. The Haven Restaurant is very good. The sea bass was wonderful. Lunch choices are also very tasty. Although we wished they had a club sandwich option. We truly enjoyed the quiet laid back atmosphere of the Haven. We also were able to go to the other restaurants like the Bistro which was excellent - try the creme brulee. LaCucina was a disappointment. The food was only average but sitting outside for dinner was a treat. Skip the fettuccine Alfredo it was not very good. Ocean Blue was good and the food was extremely hot (temperature wise). Try the grouper. Jersey Boys was wonderful and it lasted almost 2 hours. Havana was good but not of the same caliber. Getting on and off the ship was a breeze. The new facial recognition program as we disembarked the ship was fabulous. No long line. We were off the ship by 9:15. In addition, getting on the ship was extremely smooth too. We wished there had been a golf simulator on board. Or some golf excursions. But otherwise there are tons of activities to do - or not do. All of the staff were very gracious, smiling and more than willing to go out of their way to provide top notch service. If you're considering a cruise and are afraid of going on such a large ship - book a Haven room, you won't be disappointed. We'll definitely go again on NCL in a Haven room. Read Less

It’s our 20th Anniversary and we were just going to do a Charleston trip until my husband reminded me we should take a cruise. We had seen ads for Norwegian but had never been on one. We booked Wednesday and left Friday to sail on Saturday. We were a little nervous because we have only sailed with Royal but we were shocked-in the best way! The Bliss is beautiful and gave us the freedom to do as much or as little as we wanted. The food choices were insane and we had the freedom to eat in the Garden buffet style, sit down meals, specialty dinning or room service. The activities on board were so fun and we were like kids again-go carting, water slides, dancing the night away and touring the amazing islands on excursions. The Bliss is the way to travel adults only or with family! We have already booked our next cruise with our teens. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful and made us feel special. The choices are endless and if you can’t find what you are looking for the staff goes the extra mile to make it happen! Our cabin was very roomy and even though the first day was a little crowded there’s so much to do that it was easy to catch an elevator. The shows are straight from Broadway! The only thing we wish was it was longer!! This is a MUST for any cruiser-whether it’s your first or hundredth! Read Less

I been on Carnival and Royal Caribbean but Norwegian was by far the very best cruise I been on yet! This is the first cruise that I have had the best food and great service!! As being a picky eater, Norwegian was able to make my eating very easy. I did not require anything specific but all the food choices from the buffet, complimentary dining, to specialty dining was very easy to choose from. I was able to enjoy everything I ate without struggles. On previous cruises, eating was a bit of a struggle and I was really worried I was going to have the same issue on Norwegian. I am so glad I had no issues. People I know always told me that Norwegian has the best food and there is so much to choose from. They were right!! The cabin was small for 4 people but that was expected as they are meant for 2 people. The guy who fixed the room was very nice, friendly, and did a great job making up the room as it was a mess. I was really surprised that he always made the room look brand new, as it was being used by 4 of us. On day 4 I was really cold, called room service, and asked for a extra blanket. Within 5 minutes there was a knock on my door and there was the blanket. I could not believe how fast the blanket came! I was beyond thankful!!! All the shows were great. Saw Havana, The Beatles and the comedy show. I really wanted to see Jersey Boys but the night we were suppose to see them, all 4 of us had gotten very tired and fell asleep early. We are really hoping they will be around once we book our next cruise. All shore excursions were great!! My favorite was the shopping, tour, and beach time at St. Thomas. We were able to go to Magen's beach!! That was the best beach I ever experienced!! My husband and the other couple were just as happy as I was with that beach! The ship was absolutely beautiful!! Loved the go-karts. I have not done go-karts in over 20 years.........until I got on your ship! I thought it was funny and great at the same time that I did the go-karts on your ship! That was a great time! I love how the halls have the fish which makes it easy to know which way we were going. I already told my husband that I want to cruise only with Norwegian from now on! We are hoping to go back on Norwegian in 2021 on the Encore!! Just need to save up and get a great deal as we live on a budget. I want to thank Norwegian for the best cruise we ever been on!! I wish I would of started with Norwegian a long time ago!! Read Less

We saw the Jersey Boys and the Beatles show and both were fantastic! Both my husband and I agree that Jim Badger the piano man was one of our favorites! He was hilarious! I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard. We had the unlimited drink package and I have to say the bartenders on that ship know how to pour a good drink! The ship was very clean and the cabins were a lot more roomier than what I thought they would be. Everyone who worked there was super friendly. Our favorite excursion was the Kon Tiki Beach and Sightseeing in St. Thomas. I have no complaints what so ever on this cruise! Read Less

NCL Bliss is a beautiful, but very large :)) ship. Taking a cruise has been on my bucket list for many years, and was finally able to mark it off. After debating whether or not to go to Alaska or Caribbean, decided on Eastern Caribbean. Ports included Tortola, BVI; St Thomas, VI and Nassau, Bahamas. Arrived in Miami the Thursday prior to Saturday departure. Explored Miracle Mile but was not that impressed. Next time will plan something more entertaining as there is much to do there. When first arrived at Miami Port on day of embarkation, really didn't know exactly what to expect except what I had read. However, it went extremely smooth and quick. Was onboard within 30 mins. or so of arrival. Stayed in new studio staterooms newly developed on cruise ships specifically for solo travelers like myself. We had our own beautiful studio lounge with expresso machine, snacks, water, juice, etc. They even have wine station but it is pay per glass and not part of beverage package. JP was crew member who set up many solo functions, such as daily meetings, dinners and shows to attend as a group, if desired. However, I choose to do most of the stuff on my own as I had made reservations for most of these a couple months ahead of cruise. Activities crew, which included cruise director Dan Dan, Junior, Anika, among others, were very entertaining, putting together many trivia games, as well as their own version of Deal or No Deal game in the atrium daily. Among one of my favorite things I participated in learning the "Thriller" dance by the late Michael Jackson. Other favorites included hilarious late night 18+ comedy show. Made reservation in Social Comedy Club, headliner was Steve Smith. He had us rolling in laughter entire 30 mins or so he was onstage. A couple nights later they had a first come first serve (no reservations required) 18+ show in the Bliss Theater, which included, in addition to Steve Smith, another headliner, Spencer James. He too put on an extremely entertaining show. Attended Havana show, which was good. However, really enjoyed Jersey Boys show. Both of which I highly recommend you reserve ahead of time online, as soon as your are able. Complimentary dining rooms were good for most part. Only down side was I felt service was slow at times, but staff was very friendly. Only specialty restaurant I tried was Los Lobos. Had chicken enchiladas which were very delicious, just wish would have been a larger helping instead of only two enchiladas. Took advantage of complimentary room service a couple of mornings for breakfast which roissant rolls, fresh fruit, cereal, etc. You can also get Omelettes or French Toast for fee of $7.95. Chose the Ultimate Beverage package for my promo. Although not sure I would have purchased it had it not been a promo as I am not a very heavy drinker. However, did like occasional margarita, mixed drink or beer, & being able to have a drink whenever wanted without having to pay for each one as they ran an average of 10.95 each, as it also included soda. Of course the gratitude of this package is included in cost of cruise and believe it was between $105 to $115, maybe little more. Do not recall exact amount. As with many other guest, had issue at pool deck with guest "reserving" sun loungers foro themselves or friends/family members, by placing towels, shoes, hats etc while they went to breakfast or whatever they did, despite it is requested you refrain for doing this. You would walk out there looking for chair, only to find more than half the chairs had stuff in them, but no one was there with them. They say there is a 30 min rule and your belonging will be removed if you are not there, however I witnessed firsthand this rule is not enforced. For ship that size it needs larger pool area and they need to implement a stricter policy regard the lounge chairs. They do have separate adult and kid pool area which I like. Pulse Fitness center was very nice, with lots of equipment and machines. though I only made it there once. Also have nice jogging/walking tracking. Did lot of walking though as took stairs 99% if the time. Will definitely cruise on the Bliss again. Took advantage of their CruiseNext program where you can make one to four deposits for future cruises and get onboard credit amounts based on how many deposits you place. You have up to four years to use them and decide where you want to go. Next cruise will probably be to Alaska, hopefully. Read Less

We were 1st time cruisers, we were invited to join some of our neighbors. So happy we did this ship is amazing, the crew wonderful, shows excellent, food fabalous. From check in to embarkation they are so organized. The only issues I saw was the adult pool was way over crowded with people sitting on the side and lack of deck chairs after 10am! and spent alot of time waiting for elevators. The ports of call were ok, the trip we took was well organized to Magens Bay, St Thomas. The Jersery Boys was wonderful as was the show Havana. The crew was always so happy, friendly & helpful, it was hard to come back to reality! The food! what can we say if you went hungry it was your own fault! Selection great, desserts were amazing.1 It was truly Bliss on the Bliss. We are hooked! We will be back Read Less

We chose this cruise because of the size of the ship, the numerous food and entertainment options, and the size of the staterooms. We also thought our 11 year old twin daughters would enjoy all of the activities for them. First, we spent the previous night in Miami, and stayed just north of the airport to save at least $150 compared to hotels near the port. Uber XL the following morning was less than $30 to the port terminal the next day. Embarkation was super easy! We boarded at 10:30AM, and carried our own luggage. We waited in line less than 5 minutes, and the process was quick and easy. Even though our room wasn’t ready, we were allowed to drop off our suitcases. We stayed in mini suite #10800, and found it to be plenty roomy. The bathroom was large with two sinks, and a large shower. The shower size was important to me since I have some mobility issues after losing my right leg and walking with a prosthesis. A shower chair was provided on request. I was able to get around the room reasonably well, but needed to crab walk past the bed. There’s also a half step up to get in the bathroom, so this was a little tricky. With my prosthesis on, I had no trouble getting in/out of the bathroom. The shower had a perfectly placed grab rail as well. There was a large closet with lots of hangars, cubbies for t-shirts/shorts/etc, and a safe. There were several outlets on the counter next to the TV and above the mini fridge. There were also 3 cabinets with shelves inside below the TV which offered extra storage. The balcony was surprisingly large and had two comfy chairs and a large table. We found our stateroom to be soundproof and never heard anyone above, below, or next to us on either side. Room blackening curtain was fantastic over the balcony sliding glass door. Our steward, Mel, was absolutely fantastic. He spent a lot of time with our girls, and they couldn’t wait to learn how to make towel animals each night, as well as the chance to ask him where he was from and about his family. Mel is a true gentleman. He took great care of our room, and we never wanted for anything extra. Our stateroom was always clean, and always had fresh ice. We never touched the mini bar. We had the Ultimate Beverage Package which was great. Every bar we went to throughout the ship was well-stocked, and we never waited more than a minute for service even during peak times. We also purchased the soda/water package for our daughters which was also well worth it. We typically ate breakfast and lunch at the Garden Cafe on deck 16, and the food was quite good with a great array of choices. For dinner, we went to Teppanyaki twice. This is a must-do, even if you have to pay for it. The chef’s show was fantastic, and the food was wonderful. Portions are massive. Q BBQ was also great, and the short ribs were tender and delicious. Ocean Blue was also excellent. At each of the pay restaurants there are photographers who will take your picture and at the end of the meal offer to sell a package or single photo. This is your only opportunity to buy the photos as they won’t appear on your room account/photo code. We also ate at the Local, and they have fantastic wings. The Manhattan Room was very nice, with rotating menu options and classic menu options that do not change. We thought the complimentary food choices and options were great! Frankly, besides Teppanyaki, I didn’t want for anything else. My daughters always found plenty of things they enjoyed as well and had zero complaints. During our at sea days, we hung out at the pool on deck 16. Be sure to get there by 7AM or you won’t get a chair. It fills up quickly! Service was great at the the two bars. Tipping your server will get you fantastic, friendly, and frequent service. I typically gave $20 each day we were on the pool deck, and in return we were served given ice filled buckets of beer in perfectly timed intervals! Carlo and Joe found us each day. They are both fun to BS with, are super friendly, and are fantastic at what they do! Our girls loved the pool, hot tubs (there are four on deck 17), and also spent a ton of time on the slides. The bands that played daily included Siglo and Familiar Strangers. They were fun, played good tunes, and sounded great! The DJ playing music in between the bands was also good. At night, there were themed parties including 80’s and 90’s night. We loved the pool deck area and spent a lot of time there relaxing. Besides the water park/pools/slides/hot tubs, our daughters and my wife loved the race track. They didn’t do the laser tag. They also loved the ping pong tables. Our girls tried the Splash Academy, and enjoyed the freedom of being old enough to sign in and out after a minimum 2 hour stay. I was surprised to hear how much fun they had there, with age appropriate activities and games - they actually asked if they could go back! The staff in the Splash Academy were great and our girls really enjoyed it. Arriving at St. Thomas, we found disembarkation to be quick and easy. We did the Powercat and Snorkeling excursion, and had a BLAST. The crew with Coolboats USVI were fun, the included rum punch was delicious and plentiful. We first snorkeled and got to see stingrays, turtles, and many tropical fish. Then, we went to the beach for a little over an hour, followed by a cruise back to port with a dance contest. Perception at the time indicated awesome dance skills. Review of video later showed that the rum punch skewed perceptions. This was a great experience and we would do it again. St. Thomas is still recovering from the hurricanes, and there are a lot of boarded up shops. Next, we stopped at Tortola and opted to take a cab to Cane Garden Bay beach on the North side of the island. Cab fare in an open, safari type F-350 was $16 per person round trip. The cab ride was interesting...lots of steep, narrow roads. It took about 15” to get from port to the beach and vice versa. Build in some extra time as the trucks won’t leave until they’re full of passengers. Tortola is also still recovering from the hurricanes. Beach chairs were $20 for a pair with included umbrella. Beer was cheap on the beach, at $3 for a bottle of Coors Light. This is a BEAUTIFUL beach, and we didn’t find it too crowded. We loved our day here and would definitely do it again. Following a day at sea where made port at Nassau. This is definitely a tourist trap type of place and was very busy with a total of 5 large cruise ships in port at the same time. We took a cab to Cable Beach, with round trip costing $8. Beach chairs were negotiated to $30 per pair, and umbrella negotiated to $10. There are lots of people here selling snacks, water, soda, and beer, as well as an endless variety of “stuff” like conch shells, jewelry, swimwear, etc. There are stands selling drinks from coconuts and food. You can also buy fried and BBQ chicken from people selling this out of backpacks. We passed on the backpack chicken, but saw several others brave enough to buy then actually eat the chicken. You can parasail, rent a jet ski, or ride on a towed banana inflatable. The beach was stunningly beautiful, the people were friendly, and we had a great day! We saw Jersey Boys which was good, and we found the Bliss theater to be very nice. We also caught the Beatles show in The Cavern. This show was a blast and the band members fed off the positive vibe in the room that night, playing longer than scheduled. The shopping options were nice, and we stocked up on duty free liquor that was reasonable priced. Our girls loved the charm bracelets with $5 charms of the day. T-shirt sales were held at least twice, with a good selection of 2 for $10 shirts. Disembarkation was super easy, and we chose self-assist. If you don’t mind carrying your own baggage on and off the ship, this is the quickest and easiest option in my opinion. We loved our experience on the Bliss, and look forward to going again next year. We’ll probably try a western Caribbean cruise. Overall, our service and experience was spectacular! Read Less
