Group cruise and always wanted to see Alaska. All of the crew was awesome and went out of their way to help. Our balcony cabin was great on the Starboard side of the ship so we could see the beautiful mountains every day and night!
The shows were great with great talent.
The food was excellent with many choices. We did the Crown Grill restaurant-our waiter, Gerry went above and beyond ...
We booked this cruise in 2020 before the world shut down. Decided to keep reservation and so glad we did. It was a long wait but well worth it. This is a must do cruise and do it sooner rather than later. Beautiful scenery. Ports were awesome. We have done many cruises and I must say this is the first that I’ve actually felt relaxed when it was over. Sailing through the Glaciers is amazing. ...
We are destination cruisers, and Alaska has been a bucket list destination for us. This was our 5th cruise with Princess; we are Platinum on Princess. This cruise was a 14 night "Voyage of the Glaciers" cruise, with Vancouver BC as the start and end port.
Also, my wife is scooter-bound, so we require handicapped-accessible facilities. This makes us notice details that wouldn't concern most ...
1. Party of 8. All tested positive for COVID upon our return. We were all masked the entire time.
2. Majestic princess is a very compartmentalized ship that doesn’t flow well.
3. The staff were awesome. The scenery was amazing.
4. The food was standard fair.
5. We did not enjoy the Asian restaurant at all. Food was bland.
6. Music was standard.
7. The princess app was difficult ...
Princess Air is unreliable unresponsive and has abominable customer service. We waited 4 days to get our return flight straightened out. Guest Services contacted Princess Air repeatedly and it took 4 days to get answers. Even then we didn’t get the plane seats that we needed until after departing the ship and contacting the airline ourselves.
The busses used for Denali land tour were not ...
This was our first Princess cruise, and we were not disappointed! It lived up to and exceeded our expectations. Below is our summary of the good, the bad, and the ugly. Note that there was far more good than bad, and only a little ugly. The cruise was from Whittier to Vancouver, with stops in Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan along the way, along with cruising near glaciers.
The ...
The following is the list I created as we went along the land and cruise tour… this is not an extensive list, but we are sad that we cannot recommend Princess in any future cruise destinations. As the title of this review states… first and last impressions matter and neither were good for us.
Land portion of trip:
Food was subpar, understandably knowing expectations from different parts of ...
I had been on an Alaskan cruise 3 years ago and loved it.This time was a little different. The room I had was ok. We were with a group of 12. One room had to switch because cigarette smoke was so bad,the air conditioning in another room.Across the hall from one of our group dishes stayed piled out in the hallway all over the floor.(Come to find out sick person) The entertainment was ok. I guess if ...
Having done many cruises over the years - there are certain things you look for.
Food is a must and it was good, though average. Buffet often food was not hot and limited over a week.
Many of the better restaurants require an additional $29 and then even in those restaurants there are extra charges.
I don;t know about you but on an all-inclusive, a Asian food restaurant with an extra ...
This itinerary fit best for our lives and work schedule. We cruised first, 7 day cruise that included Glacier Bay and College Fjord. I really believe our cruise had the best of everything. We saw lots of wildlife that included hump back whales, orcas, bears, mountain goats, otters, etc during the cruise. You simply have to watch and keep your eyes open to have a chance to see. Yes, there are ...
