This was our first cruise since the onset of Covid. We are platinum level Princess passengers and it was our 3rd Alaskan Cruise. We booked this cruise on the Majestic Princess mainly to use our on board credits that we received when our last cruise in February 2020 was cancelled early due to Noro virus. The credits would have expired by end of 2022. We requested our credits be extended into 2023 ...
After the original Alaskan cruise was cancelled in 2020 I decided to rebook one for 2022. I took my family this time as well as a close friend. I chose the Majestic Princess as I wanted the experience of a newer ship & it was absolutely gorgeous. My family were only able to have their vacation time during the summer so we chose mid July for our cruise. Other than the weather that week it ...
We chose a 10-day combined cruise/land tour - 7 days on the ship with 3-days on land. Our trip was CA3 - two nights in Denali, one night in Fairbanks. The cruise itself was wonderful. Be sure to get a balcony room. It's the only way to get a view of the glaciers. The captain did a great job of floating us into the fjord. The glaciers are SPECTACULAR. The food was average at first but by ...
We chose this cruise as it was a decent price, had the 11 day land / sea option that I really wanted to do.
We flew from Vancouver to Anchorage 3 days before our actual start date. I recommend booking your flights along way in advance as the dates do not line up well with the sailing / land tour start dates. Flight cost was $280 CDN pp one way.
Hotels in Anchorage are expensive! Expect $250 ...
My wife and I took a 7 day cruise from Whittier to Vancouver. Prior to that we had a 7 day inland trip staying in three princess lodges. Overall the inland trip was superior by far although the Princess lodges are adequate but not up to a typical city hotel standard.
The Princess Magestic was a beautiful ship which was kept extremely clean at all times by the staff. Princess uses a medalion ...
Group of 14 on board to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday. Had a fantastic time in spite of a few hiccups. Cabin (10th floor Balcony) was small, but nicely set up. Missed having additional seating in the room. No outlet in the bathroom for hairdryers, etc., only for shaving, but the desk is set up as a makeup station with a hair dryer in the top drawer. Could have used a little more lighting ...
Took 14 family members on this cruise with the full included beverage and WiFi package and it worked out wonderfully. We were able to eat together each night in the restaurant and enjoyed excellent meals. The service on this ship was outstanding with friendly and efficient staff in every category. Enjoyed the naturalist lectures and the entertainment, which due to the 2/3 capacity were readily ...
Princess does it right, even with the issues that Covid brought to our cruising world (and the world in general). I completed all required information on the web version of the cruise personalizer as I had read that many were having issues with the app on their phone or tablet. Once I completed all that I could I then downloaded the medallion app to my phone (the latest version) and finished what ...
This makes our 10th Princess cruise. The Majestic is a beautiful ship and the staff overall were wonderful. The itinerary was exactly what we wanted. We left from Whittier, and had two days of scenic cruising to see the glaciers which was amazing! Then we were supposed to go to Skagway, however due to the mudslide, we were unable to go there. Instead we went to Haines. Decided not to take a tour ...
The Majestic cruise was so amazing. The embarkation and debarkation was the easiest I have ever ecountered. I was in and on the ship within five minutes of embarkation. Our bags did not take long at all to be delivered to our room and the room was amazing. The room was spacious, the balcony was huge and the bathroom was bigger than expected. The staff was super delightful, always spoke to me, ...
