7 days of audio torture

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Symphony of the Seas

My mother invited the entire family on a 7 day cruise in the Mediterranean to celebrate her birthday. This trip was a painful ordeal - every part of ship blared music from speakers. Every pool features music so loud you had to shout to be heard - pretty much the opposite of a relaxing vacation. At one point their tested their emergency warning system, and the emergency horns were literally lower ...

We have been on at least four cruises with Royal and we enjoyed the cruise to Europe last year that we took with our daughter and two teenage grandsons. The cruise was a nice experience for them with all the various activities aboard that they took advantage of along with friends that they met. They took private excursions along with other friends. My husband and I took excursions with Royal and ...

from 23-7-2023 to 30-7-2023 we made this cruise. We made this cruise from Barcelona. Not all communication went smoothly, but thanks to Celia guest services. It was an unforgettable journey. A beautiful way to give this memory to my children. If we had not been so well helped by Celia, this memory would certainly have turned out differently. Again thank you very much. Everything on the ship ...

Great Cruise!

Sailed on SOS for the Western Mediterranean and boarded in Rome at the end of June. This was our first mega class ship. We loved the ship but also love the smaller ships and sail mostly for the destinations. The ship is organized, beautiful, and everyone is working hard around the clock. There are a lot of families with young kids and teenagers. If this isn't what you want, I would pick another ...

How to lose weight on a cruise….

I initially thought that Royal Caribbean was one of the premier cruise lines. In the past, it was excellent. The cruise line has done away with free room service-&10-$15 every time you order. The only food option after 10pm was pizza (or room service) and the kids can’t drink soda without a beverage package. The ship itself was beautiful-the entertainment was very good but the overall value ...

Wonderful itinerary but the ship experience was so-so

We have been loyal Royal Caribbean guests for many years, and this was our 3rd post pandemic cruise with them. We chose this itinerary and ship prior to deciding to change cruise lines, so went with it. The itinerary was very good - all the highlights of the Western Mediterranean coast, plus Rome, and most of our time was spent off the ship as opposed to the Caribbean itineraries. Symphony is ...

I didn’t fancy going on a cruise but my husband did, so gave it a try. The stateroom was spacious, the room attendant couldn’t do enough for you. Food was great with a good choice, we ate in the main dining room every night but tried windjammer, El Loco Fresh Mexican restaurant, Cafe Promenade and solarium bistro for snacks or lunch with good selection, also ice cream kiosks. We are not big ...

Absolutely loved it. This was our first time sailing with Royal Caribbean and we didn't know what to expect. Embarkation was one of the quickest we ever had. The ship is massive with so much to offer. We loved the shows on board, especially Hiro in the aqua theater. It was just breathtaking. The temperature in the Royal Theater and Studio B we're very cold. So be sure to bring a jacket, ...

I have been on over 20 cruises with RCCL, I was always a fan of this cruise line but unfortunately no longer. Pros - Excellent entertainment, the Ice shows and water shows are spectacular. Embarkation/ Disembarkation good. Cons - CABINS now only serviced once a day ( apparently new procedure introduced March 2023) No paper information in cabin all now on ...

We chose this cruise because we liked the itinerary and have enjoyed cruising with RC in the past. We ate in the dining room for nearly all breakfast and evening meals, with the exception of one speciality dinner at Wunderland. Breakfast was exceedingly slow. It took a very long time for a server to come to our table and take our order. Once we ordered, the meal was delivered in average ...
