Our family & friends cruise was EPIC on some many levels. For the past 15 -18 months I've dreamed; plotted; planned; saved & overspent and stressed my immediate family immensely to make this happen (LOL...they have forgiven me). It was a dream came true with 34 beautiful people.
We had multiple flights delayed & cancelled. Our pre-cruise hotel was a disaster :(but we made the best of it. ...
We decided on Royal Caribbean because of the onboard activities primarily. I have 2 kids that love to surf so they were on the flow rider non-stop. I was able to relax at the pool/spa and enjoy the casino, while my boys were entertained by the flow rider & ping pong, basketball, mini golf etc. So we met for lunch & then reconnected for dinner & a show. It was perfect! I didn’t have to entertain ...
We have been sailing with RC since 1990. We have never been disappointed with their new ships. We sailed on August 4/2019 Eastern Caribbean. Let me just say, on each of their new ships upon entering into their ships we have been awed & totally wowed. This time we felt that The Harmony of the Seas was a generic version of the Oasis & Allure ship. We found the colors of gray & taupe totally boring! ...
I chose this cruise because it looked very entertaining and packed with a lot to do. Unfortunately things were all sold out so we didn’t get to experience any of the excursions. The private beach in Haiti was packed with rocks seaweed and urchins so we didn’t really get to enjoy the beach. Speaking of beach there was a $7 charge per person including kids for. Water taxi to transport us to the ...
I had previously been on the Allure of the Seas ship twice, before I heading on Harmony. I felt excited to go on another cruise that was very similar to Allure, since that experience was amazing. I have two kids, one 14 years old and the other 11. They were excited to explore what activities the ship had to offer, for example the Ultimate Abyss, which was an adult version of the slides at ...
Embarkation went smoothly. Took a cab from hotel to Port Everglades. The ship was fantastic. It was clean, lots of things to do, food was great and service was excellent. Cabin was always clean and comfortable in size.
We dined at the Main Dining Room for breakfast and dinner. The food for dinner was excellent. Breakfast was just OK for me. We did buffet and a la carte. Wish they would change ...
The ship was in a very good condition, maintained well and clean. The cabin was great, butyfull balcony. A light on the balcony in the night could have been nice. But great conditions.
The dinning were allso an experience. All these kind waitresses, took care of us. It was great. And when having your kids with you, they could just pick up some food, when ever they needed it. My teenager really ...
It had been 22 years since our last cruise, before we had kids and we just took our first family cruise with our 11, 15 and 18 year old. We also went with another family. Harmony did not disappoint! Boarding the ship was smooth, the service from our room to the bartenders was top notch. The quality of the food at the main dining room was good, but we also ate at sabor and 150 Central Park. Sabor ...
This was my third cruise with Royal Caribbean. Each has gotten progressively worse and cost more each time.
Excursions: The port of calls were short (approx 3 - 6 hours in port). If you debark the ship make sure you bring your sea pass and photo ID. Once on the pier it is like herding cats. In our first port, there were three tours assembled at the same time and no one knew where to go. ...
This was a family & friends cruise.
Royal Caribbean was chosen based on my long time positive cruise experience with it. The ship was chosen since it's a newer ship and in the same class as the Oasis and Allure. Previous cruises on Oasis and Allure were good.
Overall the Harmony cruise was good but there were was an issue that required a top level manager's involvement to rectify it. Once ...
