Overall, I was very impressed with this ship. The décor is more modern and everything seems updated from Oasis and Allure. I wasn't sure it would make a difference, but we LOVED the water slides. Also, the sports pool on this ship is adults only and we really enjoyed that. The service in the bars was outstanding. Embarkation and disembarkation were a breeze and possibly the smoothest we've had on any trip. My major complaint is the food in the Main Dining Room. We are fairly simple and tend to stick to the MDR for dinner since it is included in the fare. While the service was very good, the food was the worst I've had in the MDR on any cruise. The menu lacked variety and the cuts of meat were of such low quality I was shocked. The steak I received was incredibly thin and grey in color. This wasn't a bad piece I received, but was consistent in what I saw each night as it was the standard Strip Steak staple offered each night of the week. If you want any type of quality beef, I suggest you go to another venue. The chicken and salmon dishes were the only ones that were decent. I have felt the quality of the MDR food had dropped since the major push for specialty dining was made a few years ago along with the addition of Coastal Kitchen, but this was a new low. Overall, great cruise and great ship. Read Less

First and foremost I want to recognize the staff more importantly 2 of which spent time getting to know us . One whom we only interacted with twice and the other everyday sometimes twice , three times. Both of their names are Janice . Janice served our dinner twice in the MDR , in the short period of time , she learned enough to know what we liked and didn’t like and easily the next dinner we saw her for , she automatically got things for us. She was sweet, social and very funny. We wish nothing but success for her on her journey in the future . The other Janice was our Stateroom attendant. She was by far on her game, she knew us by name , the minute we opened the door in the morning she greeted us with a weather report , well wishes for the day and health. She was so quick with turn around in the room that I swear one morning I forgot something and I went back not twenty minutes later and the room was spot on . The towels were always fresh , our bed was always made and she was always smiling. At night she refreshed our towels and turned down our beds for the evening , aside from a chocolate on my pillow at night ( that would’ve been funny ), I’d say it was very personalized for sure . Everyday being greeted from her I felt confident that she was good at her job and enjoyed doing it . When we saw her last night , we gave her more in gratuity because we felt 100% she deserved it and more. (Even though we prepaid gratuities , we were more than generous with all the waiters and waitresses as well). What I loved about tipping after our meal was the level of appreciation from the wait staff, some hugged us and kept thanking us over and over again , some went on to tell us how they will send the money they get and send to their families at home. (Warmed my heart ) . What made me recognize the 2 ladies more was their smiles and they seriously seemed genuine in personality , not fake and be fake and turn on us when we walk away. I don’t know what kind of impression we left on them but they made us happy . Now onto other things , HOTS needs an adult pool in the Solarium. Beautiful ship indeed but aside from showers and jacuzzis and the flower leafs providing a cool off, I missed the pool. My bf and I do not have children and although don’t mind them on some level but no means did I, we want to be surrounded by kids to just swim in the pool for a few minutes here and there. Yes you have the adult pools but being that they were located by the smoking section ( ex smoker) I didn’t want to be near the smells of the cigars and cigarettes, casinos I can tolerate to an extent but not while I’m swimming or relaxing . The photo stuff needs help, we know for a fact we are missing at least a dozen pics, random pics from our vacation but a photographer would take our pic and either forget to ask for room number or just walk away so fast not giving us a chance to give number to them. So we feel for what we paid for unlimited digital package we missed a bunch somewhere. Everyone on board was on top of the cleaning , which I appreciate for sure. One thing I will say is they need more supervision with the buffet and kids, too many times I saw kids run up to buffet and cut in front of people, grab serving ladles spoons whatever and put food on their hands, (ewww gross) turned me off, I walked away from something multiple times I was really looking forward to because of that. I also saw kids and sometimes adults not washing hands either , all in all for the most part people seemed to do their part for hand washing. Staff again was smiling and helpful when asking for things. More ice tea is needed at all meals and all places and at all times. We aren’t ( I am not mostly ) a soda drinker with my meals morning noon and night , I do however drink Ice tea like it’s going out of style. We also think the day was little to scheduled for us , not enough freedom . I get the shows have times and such but I found I was always rushing for breakfast lunch and dinner times. I like to just go when I’m hungry and not worry about times. I’m not sure when we will cruise again or which ship we would cruise , hopefully we have that opportunity to do so and if we do we hope staff is just as good as they were this time. Weather was perfect considering Alberto was on our tails when we departed from Ft Lauderdale . Read Less

Second time on Harmony of the seas! My favorite ship so far. Pros: - Huge ship with lots of activities to do. Usually you like an activity or two, but on Harmony, we had such a great time. From waterslides to its Jazz bar to a child-free solarium area with bliss and drinks! - Food, on average, is the best of any company I've been to. There were some bad dishes, but overall everything was great. Escargot every day!!!!!! - Good selection of teas. For the rare day where I don't feel like getting drunk, it's nice to have a natural sugar-free drink, and they had Sencha, Earl Gray, Jasmine tea etc. Cons: - Horrible ports and nothing to do in crappy locations with suspicious people following us. - Buffer was horribly overcrowded, more than in any other cruise line I know of. - Quality of the solarium restaurant decreased significantly since my last visit, in 2017. IIRC, there was no shrimp or calamari. It's a shame, since it was our favorite restaurant. - Some screw-ups. They booked another family in our cabin, and it took some time to sort things out. The Alice restaurant was also pretty disorganized, and they sent the wrong dishes and didn't send an appetizer I asked for. Read Less

This cruise started off as a friends and family cruise. It ended with just a mother and daughter cruise. First, let me state I loved this ship it has something for everyone. The first two day it was cloudy and rain, but we made the most of it. My room was 11727 Standard Broadway view. Food: was good but they need to give better variety it seem to be the same lunch and breakfast everyday. Overall the ship was amazing it was so much to do. It will take you a couple of days to understand the layout of the ship. The shows headliners brought back some great memories the tenor who preformed was a show stopper. We sailed with a full ship it didn’t feel overwhelming. Staff was amazing loved our MD staff they when above and behind. The staff at every gourmet restaurant was absolutely amazing. Each restaurant was better than the next, with the exception of Chop. The food in Chop did not meet our expectation. As a group the food left much to be desired. The meat tasted like it was frozen. Not what is expected at a steak house. However the remainder of the specialty restaurants were amazing. Wonderland is an absolute wonder made so much more special due to Marcelo our waiter. Everyone should have the Wonderland experience with Marcelo. He made us feel like we were in a magical bubble. The creativeness of the meals are above and beyond anyone could even imagine. Jamies was amazing as well. Such great food. Our waiter did his best to make sure we all were pleased every step of the way. 150 Central Park had the best lamb of the trip. Sabor was great Mexican. Hassan was amazing at Sabor. The few meals we ate in the main dining room was great and the staff was amazing. They truly made the effort to make us feel special. The shows were great. I wish the aqua theater would have more shows. Fine Line was amazing. Dru the Cruise Director was fantastic. Loved seeing him in the show Love and Marriage. He was hysterical. Unfortunately we experienced some trouble with being double charged. I had to keep checking our account to make sure we were charged correctly. We had to make 3 different trips to guest services but they did help us get the matter resolved, which upset my husband very much. Read Less

The Abyss is a wonderful, slightly scary experience. Make sure to wear long pants! There are plenty of pools and Jacuzzi. Food is available all the time. Pizza is available until late and its made fresh throughout the day. The latin club plays live music and its a fun place to visit nightly. The Boardwalk has a carousel and an arcade- great for the kids. There is a starbucks onboard plus a coffee shop. Getting a drink package is good idea for those that like to order pina coladas and alcoholic beverages. Onboard the price of a drink package is more expensive. Ship was easier on easier off, windjammer was always packed so we ate in the main dinning room for everything. Our wait staff peter and soiu was awesome, our family balcony was nice and our state attendant D was great. Kids clubs were horrible, we normally cruise Disney and our kids normally love going and hated to come out. This cruise the kids total of 10 of them ages from 8-16 did not like hanging in there. They said the staff was rude and not fun. We didn’t find that the ship was crowded only at times. We had a blast and we would definitely cruise the ship again. You really need to make the most out of what you are given but for the most part the ship is great and we had a blast. Overall, a good time. Embarkation was really easy! I recommend monitoring your charges daily though. Our 2 adult children purchased the alcohol drink pkg (all inclusive), however on 6 different occasions, certain bars added the drinks again daily. The last day, they still had a false $15 charge for a drink that we called on and it was never removed. Just monitor it daily. The food is plentiful. It took the first 2 days for the dining room to get it together, but after that, it was a pleasant experience. We’ve been on many cruises and the biggest ship was not my favorite. While it’s new and shiny, I felt it was too big to give us the more personal experience we’ve had on other Royal Caribbean ships. We have a 2020 cruise to Aruba scheduled next on a Adventure. Really looking forward to that one. Another great family vacation in the making. Read Less

Selected this cruise due to destinations and number of sea days. We enjoy the sea days for relaxation. Weather wasn’t the best due to Tropical Storm Alberto. Had cloudy days and monsoon like conditions in Cozumel. Poured buckets on final sea day. I was surprised at the number of people that did not avail themselves to the washrooms outside the Windjammer. With all the concerns about nanovirus, we diligently used them through out the cruise, along with all the Purel dispensers. Better safe than sorry. Had an excellent room steward, who made sure our requests for water and ice were always taken care of. Food in the MDR was so, so. We ate in the steakhouse one evening (always e cellent) and at Johnnie Rockets one night when we didn’t feel like changing for dinner. Really disliked the aqua show “Fine Line”.Music was terrible, choreography left a lot to be desired. what’s the deal with twirling man ? He seemed to be everywhere ?? Aqua show last year was much better. “Grease” was ok. Didn’t really think parts were appropriate for children. Heard that from others also. Ice show where the skaters chose their music and choreography was excellent. Very enjoyable ! Didn’t go to the regularly scheduled ice show. We were in a deluxe balcony stateroom. Loved the storage, two closets! Also deep drawers. Were able to unpack all our clothes for a change. Room seemed a bit bigger than those we had in the past. Really appreciated the footstools on the balcony ! Having been to the islands on many occasions, did not do any excursions this trip. Spent the morning on Labadee and never left the other two ports. Wow, this ship is fantastic. If you're thinking of booking this ship, it might be because you feel the ship itself is the destination. If you agree with that statement, then book it and be amazed when you step onto the Harmony of the Seas. The shows and entertainment are top notch. Grease is truly a Broadway-like experience. The Fine Line water acrobatics show is not in the same league as Cirque's "O" at the Bellagio or The Wynn's "La Reve" but it's enjoyable. You'll have the best experience if you make reservations for all the shows you want to see ahead of time via the cruise planner on the Royal Caribbean website, as they get "sold out" and it looks frustrating for non-reservation holders to have to wait outside in a line, while reservation holders just walk right in to choose their seat. While the dining options are numerous, many come with an additional fee. The included (non-fee) dining options are great, however, most dining venues close by 9:00 PM. So, if you are hungry after that time, your only options are pizza, some sandwiches and desserts from Cafe Promenade, or room service at a fee of about $8 per delivery (but order as much as you want within that delivery). No midnight buffets or 24 hour soft-serve machine access on these Oasis-class ships unfortunately. Also, DO NOT EAT AT SABOR, unless you like the idea of paying $25 per person for sub-par Mexican tacos/quesadillas and side dishes (but the fresh guac, chips, and churro were great. Just not worth the cost). If you want to stay in shape while at sea, worry not, as the gym facilities were excellent. The free weight selection was limited, as I tried to duplicate my 5x5 stronglift routine while on the cruise, and had to find machines that could substitute certain exercises that normally required free weights. The weights were also very crowded after 7:30 AM on some days, so get there early. The running track is excellent since it goes around almost the entire circumference of the ship, and the view of the ocean on the aft side is breathtaking early in the morning during your run. Getting off the ship at ports was sometimes pleasant and easy, sometimes extremely disorganized and slow. Communication of when you could get off the ship was equally inconsistent. And there is no priority disembarking for excursion customers (or I couldn't find any information on it -- seems to be inconsistent online, and was given no information when booking my excursion), so you're on your own to fight the rest of the crowd to get off the ship and make it to your excursion if you booked the earliest time slot. Excursions are priced too high. Want to go on a food tour on St Maarten? Over $100 per person. Want a walking tour of Old San Juan and Fort San Cristobal in Puerto Rico? $50 per person, or you could just walk there yourself and pay $7 to get into the fort. Snorkeling excursions are $80-100, where on Carnival, they were $40-60 for a similar experience. I don't see any reason to justify the higher cost. I loved that the Wowband and the Royal IQ phone app were available on this ship, as it was not available when I sailed on Allure of the Seas. The Wowband, acts as your room key card around the ship, but it's on your wrist for super convenience when going to the pool, or opening your stateroom. Officially, it costs $5, but we were never charged (awesome). The Royal IQ app allowed us to access a bunch of things on our phone using the ships wi-fi (can use this without paying for the Zoom internet package), like our daily schedule (reservations), reserve dining options, book excursions, and edit these things too. Also, we had access to the ships daily compass on our phones at all times. Overall, would I recommend the Harmony if you've never been? Heck yeah. This ship beats out any other ship out there for it's sheer size, neighborhoods, and number of available activities (water slides, 2 rock climbing walls, a zip line, etc.). Would I recommend the Harmony if you've already been on another Oasis-class ship? Definitely, yes. Especially, if you like water slides, want to try the Ultimate Abyss slide, want to try the Wowband or have the convenience of the Royal IQ app on your phone. Will I be booking the Harmony again after having already been on it once? Maybe. If I can get a good deal on the booking, and was not looking at other options, this ship is quite enjoyable. But more likely, I will be looking at booking a room on Symphony of the Seas launching at the end of this year or looking at Carnival's upcoming flagship Vista-class ships as their food, itinerary, and excursion options beat Royal Caribbean's in my opinion. We chose this cruise because of the size of the ship and the great entertainment that the Oasis class offers. The shows were excellent. The actors and singers in Grease and Columbus were phenomenal. We thoroughly enjoyed the water shows and the divers. The food on the ship was a higher quality than all the ships we have been on and I’ve been on 33 cruises. My complaints are that a huge ship and company (Royal) belittles themselves and insults us by cutting back on little items that cost them pennies per stateroom. I am referring to the fact that they give us no water in the cabin and then SELL US a 16 oz bottle for $3.50 that they paid about 10 cents for. Their cruise prices are high enough. If they had any sense, they would increase their cruise price up $5.00 per person. We wouldn’t feel that increase as consumers. ( that $5 would more than cover their costs for bottled water and body lotion (which they also stopped providing). Most cruise lines offer FREE popcorn for watching shows. This ship charges $3.50 for a small bag of popcorn. I find this all personally insulting. Read Less

Harmony is a beautiful ship! I love Central Park, the Promenade, and all the entertainment. The only problem is, and this is a big minus, there's way too many people on this ship. Over 6,400 on our cruise and it felt way overcrowded -- there were lines for everything. It took away from having a relaxing cruise experience. Who wants to wait in lines on vacation! And the Windjammer restaurant was a nightmare... always overpacked with no tables! And forgot getting a piece of pizza on cookie on the Promenade... more long lines and miserable looking staff. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly and were well executed. Our cabin was wonderful... we loved it. Lots of storage space and well laid-out. Our waiter was exceptional... he was the best waiter we've ever had on a cruise ship. The shows were good... a lot of variety. The 3 ports we had were nice... but there were way too many sea days. I got bored with sitting around the ship. I'd much prefer having more ports to visit. Plus St. Maarten used to be our favorite port. Now our favorite beach, Orient, is destroyed. We went there and it was so depressing... all the restaurants and other buildings are gone... wiped out by the recent hurricane. Hopefully they'll rebuild quickly... I felt so horrible for the people there. The time you get to be in San Juan is way too short... 7am to 2pm... really! That's not enough time and way too early to leave the ship. Nothing is open at 7am! So a waste of a port stop. Labadee is really nice... a pretty beach. Then you have nearly 4 days on the ship... can we say boring!!! A day or two would have been perfect. This ship needs a new itinerary with less sea days. But overall we had fun and would take this ship again if it had better ports to visit. Read Less

There are 5 of us that always vacation (cruise) together and sometimes there are more but this particular trip there were 5. Our ages range from 57-72. We flew on Southwest from Atlanta to Ft. Lauderdale, the day before the cruise. Everything at the Atlanta airport was good. I booked our hotel rooms at the Hampton Inn Plantation in Plantation, FL (a suburb of Ft. Lauderdale). They picked us up at the airport, free of charge (Shawn was our driver and he was amazing. He was funny and informative). The hotel and staff were great. I highly recommend this hotel. There is a mall right next door and several places within walking distance to eat. They also have free transportation to the port (which we didn't use because I had already booked with Infinity Transportation). On Saturday morning, we got up and ate at the free breakfast in the hotel. We had some time to kill so we went out and set by the pool, just to relax. As I said, I booked our private transportation to and from the port with Infinity Transportation. We have used them several times and are very pleased with their service and their vehicles. They are a little pricey but worth it. They have never been late to pick us up and this time was no exception. We were scheduled to board Harmony of the Seas between 12:30-1:00. We got to the port at 10:30 and were on board the ship by 10:45. The boarding process was a breeze. They tell everyone that their staterooms won't be ready until 1:00 and there are several places you can go and wait. Here is where things were a little messed up. None of the places open up until 11:30 or 12:00 so the lines were outrageously long. We grabbed us a deck chair and just waited it out. At about 12:30 we went to Mini Bites and grabbed a hot dog and at 1:00 we went to our staterooms. Two of our staterooms were Boardwalk Balcony rooms so our stateroom attendant opened the partition for us. We had Elizabeth for our stateroom attendant and she was great. We never had to want for anything. Getting our luggage was next on our list. Everybody got their luggage early except for me. I still didn't have it at 8:00 hat night so Elizabeth called about it and they told her that they were holding it in security. So my husband and I went to security and let me just say we were not the only luggage down there. As soon as I saw this large box of extension cords and power strips, I knew why they took my luggage. We have always carried a surge protector with us and it has never been an issue but this time it was, so once I gave them my surge protector everything was good. As it turns out I didn't need the surge protector anyway. However, in riding the elevator back up to our stateroom several people told us that they had one in their carry on and they never said a word. That kind of got under my skin but still I was ok with it. Then 2 nights before the end of the cruise, we are sitting out on the balcony and directly across from us is someone who has strung 2 extension cords together and attached a set of lights to decorate their balcony (I have the pictures to prove it), now that ticked me off. However, after the luggage situation everything else was pretty smooth. The food wasn't very good in the dining room (at least it wasn't for dinner, but breakfast was good). The Windjammer had much better food and more of a variety. Trust me, we didn't go hungry. However, we think the food on Carnival is much better. There is no omelette station, like Carnival, but you can get an omelette most any place. The entertainment was good, my only complaint is I don't like having to make reservations to see a show, it should be first come first serve that way you don't have to worry about planning that part ahead of time. The movie under the stars is not at the pool (like on Carnival). It is at the Aqua Theatre and the seats aren't very comfortable. Several people have said they felt like they were pressured in to buying stuff all the time but we never felt that way. I didn't feel like there were enough activities (entertainment) on sea days. The Harmony of the Seas is a nice ship but we all liked the Allure better. They may have changed Allure now since we last sailed on it but at the time it had a lot of things that we liked. I don't like the fact that they have done away with some of the shops and Ben & Jerry's. They have 2 game rooms on board Harmony of the Seas which seems like such a waste. We never saw anybody go in or come out of the Wonderland Restaurant, which seems like a big waste. I would sail on it again but it wouldn't be my first choice. We sailed on Carnival Vista last year and liked it so much more. Shore excursions - Nassau we toured Atlantis. It was very interesting and fun but not much time to spend doing anything else afterwards. However, I highly recommend this excursion. St. Thomas - we shopped. Got some great deals on diamonds. St. Kitts - we did a train ride of the island. I don't recommend this excursion because only part of it is a train ride and part of it is a bus tour. It was way too long. Disembarkation was a nightmare. We did self assist, where you carry your own luggage, so no complaints about that but once we got in to the terminal area we had to find someone to ask where we needed to go and the staff was very rude, however the customs agent was very nice. Overall we had a great holiday :) the ports were beautiful! The ship is bright, modern, clean and is full of amazing activities such as the florider, total abyss slide, zip line, climbing walls, bionic bar etc etc. The size of it really is something else! We thought due to the size and number of passengers etc, there may have been long queues at times and certain areas may have felt a little too busy, but due to the layout we didn't notice this at all & our cruise was fully booked. Its actually really clever how the ship is made to target congestion. We found the shows to be hit and miss.. the fine line aqua show was amazing! But then we found Grease to be very average and the whole show just seemed to be lacking in atmosphere. The comedy show was also brilliant though and deffo worth a watch! We didn't watch any others, so can't comment on them. The staff on board are also fantastic and really cant do enough for you! In particular id like to mention the staff in the Boot and Bonnet pub. They were all so friendly :) The main dining room staff were also fab. A guy called Emanuel looked after us in Silk and he really was great!. There are plenty of food choices for even the fussiest eater.. The burgers in Jonny Rockets were fab, its def worth the small surcharge! Wonderland was also amazing, we aren't really into fancy foods as such, so didn't no what to expect.. but we actually really enjoyed it! It was a great experience & its def worth a visit.. I'm so glad we went! Mini bites was also great for pool side snacks & sorrentos did good pizza slices. The main dining room food was also a pretty good standard & we preferred eating here on the evenings, as its a bit more civilized & calmer (nice to have your food brought to you). To be honest we didn't really enjoy the windjammer that much.. as it was the total opposite to this. Its very busy and can be quite stressful with all the shoving etc and trying to find yourselves a table can be a real task at popular times. There are plenty of choices in there though and the food quality wasn't bad for a buffet. It was extremely popular for breakfast, although we preferred to have breakfast in mini bites- they did freshly cooked omelettes & also plenty of other items & it was just so much calmer. You still also get the lovely views of the ocean. We really enjoyed mini-bites! The boardwalk dog house and park café were also good for a quick snack too. To be honest most things were great! The ship was very lively with plenty of different things going on each day.. fun competitions, parades etc, so you wont be short of things to do. What we thought let the ship down were the evenings. As time went on things seemed to get quieter and most bars close at 1am (we are both age 29). All you have after that is the Attik (nightclub) which gets very busy and Bolleros which is mainly Latin music. There's no-where to really sit down for a casual drink after this time which is a shame, so most of the time we just found ourselves just going back to the room. The late night food offerings are also really poor, much less choice than other cruise ships we have been on. All you really have is pizza from sorrentos and sandwiches/cakes etc from the café on the promenade. We got bored of these choices pretty quickly, so found ourselves ordering room service (for a small surcharge) if we wanted something different. I do wonder if Royal Caribbean do this deliberately though.. as they want people to be ordering the room service & paying the surcharge??. Anyway that's about it I think.. overall i'd def recommend Harmony for families and for people who aren't into late nights.. but if you want something a little livelier with better late night offerings. Then I would perhaps consider another cruise line.. such as NCL :) As I said though.. we did still have a great time!!! Read Less

Overall good experience!! Embark is down to exact science now. Super smooth!! Same with disembark!! Great job there R.C. Cabin was nice and clean. Good ergonomics. Boardwalk balcony rooms could be a little bigger in my opinion. Main dining room food good for most part. Drink service could be better. Waited over 30 minutes for a simple glass of sangria and a beer. Definitely room for improvement though especially in the Windjammer!! Food and beverages especially the coffee need major improvement!! The casino staff needs to be more accommodating and friendlier! Nassau port reboarding was horrible. Only one gangway was accessible with thousands of people hoarded together in baking sun in slow moving line to reboard. Onboard entertainment needs a little overhaul. Ship prop in Columbus show broke down! Super friendly and genuinely nice staff for the most part. Other than Nassau port debacle St. Thomas and St. Kitts and the excursions available are great! This was our second cruise on the Harmony of the Seas. We came back on the ship because we got the ultimate dining package the first time, and our whole schedule revolved around the food. We wanted a more relaxed experience this time around. We love the ship. The activities were all excellent. We highly recommend the above water cabanas in Labadee. We also recommend a cabin on deck 8. This is the same deck as Central Park, and it has a great location. The Margaritaville in Falmouth Jamaica was terrible. The pool was so dirty it was cloudy. My daughter climbed up to the margarita hot tub and almost vomited. Finally, all the lounge chairs were dirty and moldy. In one word. GROSS. We took our own cab to the Blue Waters beach club, so we could come back when we wanted. The place was really nice, and the beach was beautiful. Falmouth is a really poor area in Jamaica. We did the Fury catamaran in Cozumel. We can not say enough good things about them. And, of course, Cozumel has some of the most beautiful water in the world. The arcade was terrible. A lot of the games do not work properly and there is no one there to help you. Also, if you are a diamond member, do not buy the arcade deal on line. There is a better deal on the ship. On the last day, we tried to get the service attendant to honor the on board deal, and he would not do it. Do not buy the thermal spa. No hot tub. Closed room with no view. I called it the hot bed in a closet. The water pitcher was not dispensing water and someone asked to have a new one brought in. They never did. On our way out, we asked about a hot tub in the spa. They said the only hot tubs available are for couples only and are considered a treatment for $100!! They dropped the ball on the Spa on this ship. They should not even sell the Thermal Spa. We were so disappointed we never went back for any more treatments. Read Less

I love RC but this was not a hip or fun cruise ... not many single or youn adult things. The nightlife was awful and boring. The comedian was the same every day unlike others that changed them in port of calls the casino was smoky even on non smoking side and the robot who made drinks was awful. They need to remove that Robot.. get happy bartenders and add a martini bar or something else. The food was marginal and need more 24 or til midnight options.. it would be great if they had more open venues as all of the shows were booked day 1 and it was impossible to see shows with NO options. This was sad I was happy with the dinner staff and variety but if you sat diwn for breakfast in dining area it was the same daily... sadly they did not change daily. We needed variety. It forces you to the buffet when the choice is limited. It was terrible Read Less

We switch from RC cruises and Celebrity - I like the big new ships so we chose Harmony. I think that RC has come down a few notches - they have cut back on lots of perks for the same prices but it is ok. Maybe we don't need those perks. We had a 10th deck cabin toward the back on the same side as the restaurants. Quiet room. Large stateroom with balcony (a must have) The cabin was very nice. Bathroom seemed smaller. Lots of space for clothes and drawer space aplenty. Room attendant Harren was there if we needed him. He was helpful as needed. Kept room very clean. Like all others that write reviews the food is not good. Dining room food just is blah. No variety. same ole same ole. I found the Windjammer food very tasty and presented very nicely. We had late seating in the main dining room on deck 3. Service was slow. The ship was packed but we never had a problem finding a seat in Windjhammer where we would go for lunch of Park Café seating was no problem either. Elevator service was good. Ice Skating show is a MUST. Grease was boring but music was good. Otherwise we didn't go to other shows. Casino was the usual place to go to lose money and the dealers were ok. They really need to pay attention more and don't talk to each other when you are trying to manage your money. I want to give a "shout out" to Gamaliel Sanchez Hernandez in Customer Service who went out of his way to get me a sparkly ring that they threw out to kids on the Promonade and I wasn't there at the time and wanted one desperately for my great granddaughter and he was kind enough to see that I got that "ring" thank youagain Mr. Hernandez. Never had a problem with Customer Service. All in all cruise was good. Whoever is responsible for the décor on this ship could have done better. What's with the carpet in the hallways to the cabins that have the "Christian fish" throughout???? Thought that was strange. Did they not notice when picking out carpeting. Will we sail again on RC - you betcha. Read Less

We Cruise will cribbing regularly and really like the line. Although this cruise I will admit I didn't think the food was as good as it's been in the past and I'm getting really tired of every time I get on a new Cruise there's more of the nickel and diming. I'm already paying a hell of a lot of money for this Cruise why do I got to be nickel-and-dime 7/8 bucks here and there for stupid stuff they should just give us. He gave me a room key but you want to charge me for a room key bracelet? How about just give you the bracelet and don't give me the card? I hate the card. I'm walking around in a swimsuit all day I don't want the card. Also the mugs they supplied this time for the drinks or Garbage. About mid Cruise the plastic turn to goo and they were sticky. Had to throw them out. Asking about new ones got me nowhere except a bunch of walking around the ship. I just gave up and threw them out. Aside from that the staff was fantastic really like the island of Haiti and the private island. That was a lot of fun. Our cabin was phenomenal I really like the layout much better than previous ships. We had a cabin with a balcony on Deck eight. Read Less

I am from Florida, so my family and I just drove to Ft. Lauderdale and board the ship. Embarkation (though slow and made slower by a broken gangway) was fine as there were plenty of chairs for my grandpa, who is older and a dialysis patient, to sit while my mom and I waited in line. Disembarkation was awful for us as there were no chairs this time around and it was very hard on my grandfather, we were very upset about this part. The lines, though they moved swiftly, were still VERY VERY LONG and took about an hour to get through. The Harmony is the biggest passenger ship and you can tell. There was a lot of walking, which makes me wonder why it is a Dialysis at Sea ship. It was too much walking for my grandfather to go to any activities or any food places that weren't right next to the aft elevators. The cabin was a perfect size for 3 people (myself, my mom, and my grandfather). It was clean when we got there, cleaned twice a day by staff, we had a beautiful balcony, and the bathroom, though small, was just right. The sheets should have been changed more for my grandpa, and we almost always needed more towels as things get wet very quickly in that bathroom. The main bed was very comfy. Also, we could have used more towel animals; they made all of us happy when we'd come back after a long day and see a towel animal on the bed. The main dining room was hit or miss; either the food would be AMAZING that night, or disappointing. The crème brulee was never good. Solarium food was very good. WIndjammer food was always average and always HORRIBLE when it came to service and finding somewhere to sit, especially with my grandpa and him not being able to walk for very long. Wonderland is a MUST but ONLY if you are open minded to strange and abstract new foods - not great for my 82 year old grandfather that didn't want to eat it if he A) couldn't pronounce it and B) couldn't immediately recognize what it is by looking at it. For me, in my 20s and loving strange new cuisine, it was so amazing, so Instagrammable. Entertainment on the ship was okay. When I did go, it was a blast as the lady who led most of our activities, Rhiannon, was fun and hilarious. My biggest disappointment was the 90s party on board which said it was supposed to last a few hours but lasted only 45 minutes. The comedy club isn't all that funny, and the late night club for dancing is frighteningly empty. Karaoke is fun though, but they need more songs and to give it more time. Maybe two locations for karaoke since it's so popular now. The service was great, however the ship seemed understaffed. It's a huge ship, but I should be able to find an employee more easily than what I experienced. DON'T GO TO WINDJAMMER IF YOU LIKE EVEN DECENT SERVICE. The regular main dining rooms were pretty good with service. Cleaning service was more or less attentive. The guest service desk and retail staff were great, as were the wait staff at Wonderland. Labadee was great, though I wished I could have seen some authentic Haitian culture and not the small section that Royal Caribbean purchased. Ziplining was a great excursion. Falmouth, Jamaica was great, but I wasn't warned that the excursion I chose included an hour drive there and an hour drive back, definitely wasn't fun for the excursion. However, climbing the Dunn's River Falls was definitely a can't-miss activity. The food at the Shaw Park Beach Hotel and Spa was amazing, and tubing was fun. Cozumel, Mexico also had an excursion where we had to take an hour long ferry ride that was VERY bumpy and got me sea sick on the way back. However, that was also very worth it as climbing through the Rio Secreto caverns was more amazing than I can describe, and shopping in Playa del Carmen was super fun. Ages of people travelling: 24, 52, 82. For me, the 24 year old, there was quite a bit to do, but this is more of a family cruise - too many kids, not enough young adult parties and events. It was PERFECT for my mother, 52, and there was almost always an activity or show she wanted to go to. For my grandpa, 82, there was very little he could do even though he can still walk. Some of the stuff was too far away or just didn't appeal to him. This isn't a cruise for the much older folk. I would suggest this cruise to couples, families travelling with children of all ages, and recently retired folk. I would consider going again, but maybe with a boyfriend or some friends instead. First time cruisers. Family of 3, traveling with 15 year old son. We booked 2 central park view cabins, mid ship. Our rooms were above Chops Grill. We could hear dishes banging in the early mornings. Other than that, rooms were great location. Going with two cabins, over ocean view or suite, was the best move we made besides getting the deluxe drink package. Cabin was well ventilated with plenty of closet space, drawers and outlets. There is shampoo and hair dryer but no hair conditioner unless you ask for it. Our ever present cabin attendant was lovely. We got the Royal IQ app for chat but didn't use it. We never had trouble finding one another despite it being such a large ship. We got Voom and shared it all week. I checked my account on the TVs each day to make sure the charges were correct. You can also see your itinerary and order room service on the TV. My husband is afraid of heights, so staying on Deck 9 was perfect because central park is one level down. A few years ago, I would not be able to drag my son off the slides. At 15, he would not step near the slides, teen club, surfing or mini golf. He loved the nonstop food and Internet. I was nervous about sea sickness. We did feel the ship rock but mostly forgot we were on a ship because it was so big. For a ship this large, they did a great job overall with food. We did MTD and liked the flexibility. Service was excellent. They remembered our drink order and would bring refills without us asking. We also went to Central Park Cafe, Mini Bites, buffet and solarium buffet. We only paid extra for one meal, Chops for lunch. It was one of the best meals we had but service was so slow wish we didn't go. We ordered room service one evening. The hot wings, cheese fry's and burgers are really good. They charged about $10 delivery fee but well worth it. Despite there being over 6,300 people onboard during spring break we had little or no wait times to embark, disembark, dinner or bar. Everything ran like clockwork. It was very crowded on the pool deck on 2nd and 3rd sea days but to be expected. We met so many nice people from around the world, including the crew and captain. There were activities, music and events going on day and night. You can do a lot or nothing. There were also fun little extras like a guy playing a piano who would show up in odd places like in the elevator. We saw 1887 and Headliner shows and loved both. Fineline was canceled all week. Columbus canceled during the show due to technical difficulties. Understand technical difficulties but maybe they should have backup entertainment during these times. I didn't like that they charged for popcorn in the evenings or the photographers. We had to get up early two days in a row for the shore excursions in St. Thomas and San Juan which was a drag. If I could redo, I would not book any shore excursions. It felt too programmed. The best thing we did at each port was return to ship early. Being on the ship was far more appealing, plus it was heaven having the pools and decks to ourselves. For first time cruisers, this ship set the bar very high. If we were to cruise again, I'd probably go with a smaller ship that offered cultural, computer, educational, or nature-based programs that would appeal to our son. Read Less

This ship is large and if you like cruising with 10,000 people it’s for you. I was worried that the amount of people on board would be a severe issue, but most the time it doesn’t feel like you are with that many others, except at the buffet. There is literally fighting for space and tables since not everyone could have one. The shows were pretty poor. Grease was not family friendly as the cast thought it was funny to flip each other off throughout. Another mother looked at me and said I don’t remember this all from Grease. Totally needless. Columbus is just stupid, but tries to be funny. We did not get to see High Line as it broke down. The ports were great. The food overall very good. Royal Caribbean does nickel and dime you to death so expect another 2,000- 3,000 in bills at the end of your trip. We had the drink packages and that was nice to have. The pools are super crowded and double the recommended occupancy. The water slides are great. The boardwalk is fun and the carousel is really fun at sea. The shops are nice and the ship is really stunning. Jamie’s and Izumi have great food, but you have to pay extra for them. Overall we had fun, but I would likely not book again. Read Less

Royal Caribbean doesnt disappoint. My 4th cruise with them, slight loss of personal attention, but for a mega ship like Harmony, they did a great job. Never felt like I was with 6400 people. Parents please learn to keep your kids controlled running around the ship. Nothing worse than the people who are there to enjoy this beautiful ship to be bumped, bruised and listen to whining all the time. Yes rccl is a family ship, guess I'm from a generation that respected the presence of all others in my general vicinity. Other than that the ship and crew don't dissapoint. Harmony is by the best ship I have been on. It takes some getting use to doing everything electronically. Crew does depend on it too much, causing crew with less better English to do jobs that may better suited for better English crew. In all RCCL for life, keep up the good work Read Less
