My dad and his wife had been on 15 cruises in the past and have been trying to get the rest of our family to join them for the past few years. My wife and I were always reluctant, mostly due to the price, and usually ended up at an all-inclusive resort in places like Cancun or Punta Cana. One day my dad asked us to drop by cause he had some news he wanted to share. We arrived and he generously told us that he was going to take me and my wife, as well as my brother and his wife, all on the Harmony of the Seas with them! For the six months or so leading up to the trip, we were told how amazing the food was, how great the entertainment was, and how we would never run out of things to do. We were a bit skeptical since we were going to be "stuck on a boat", but excited to see what all the hype was about. IT. WAS. AWESOME! Everything they told us about was true. The food was incredible! The shows were amazing! The activities were fantastic! On top of all that, the service was unreal! The crew was more than happy to get us anything we needed at any time, and never once did we feel like we weren't the most important people on the ship. We made friends at the pools, the nightclubs, and the sports courts. We explored the beaches and shops of Labadee and St. Maarten. We participated in the daily games, shows, and tournaments. We sang, danced, and ate...boy did we eat! I really could go on and on about the details, but the highlight of the trip was seeing my dad's face light up while he watched us thoroughly enjoying his favourite thing...and that will stay with me forever. As always, you were right dad. It was everything you said it would be and more. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Read Less

We chose this cruise because we wanted to get away for Labor day andreceived a Casino offer from UR Comped for the Harmony of the Seas at a price too good to pass. We live in Miami so we just rode Lyft to the part and arrived at 11:45 am and were on the ship by 12:15. We went to the Windjammer like we always do but it was full and there was a huge line of people waiting to go in. We were directed to go to Little Bites for Burger, Hot Dogs and Nachos. It turned out to be nice and not too crowded. Our cabin was ready by 1 pm. It was an inside cabin with a queen bed, a couch and lots of drawers for storage space. The closet was small but our clothes fit fine in there. Bathroom had a shower and enough space for our toiletries. The muster drill was held inside - ours was in the theatre. The Casino was large - half of the area was designated for smoking and the other half was non-smoking. There were a lot of slot machines, table games - roulette, poker, black jack, etc. but they were high $15 blackjac, $10 poker. There were several jackpot winners - I saw someone playing $2 in the slots win $8900 jackpot. We had My Time dining - I had made reservations for 7:30 everynight. Our servers were Giselle and Miriam and they were excellent. Food was delicious - much better than I've had on other ships - Royal, MSC or Princess - in the past two years. There were many options for breakfast and lunch - Windjammer buffet, Little Bites, Solarium and Park Cafe. The buffet sometimes gets too crowded if you don't go early. The Solarium has a good selection for breakfast and lunch and it is not crowded. Little Bites has omelets for breakfast and Park Cafe has soup, sandwiches, Panini's and salads for lunch. Sorrento has very good pizza and salad. We had dinner at the Windjammer one night and it was very good. They had a pasta station, crepes, and some great looking desserts and ice cream selection. We had to schedule the shows prior to getting on the ship. We saw Grease which is a Broadway production. I have seen the movie over 25 times because it was my daughter's favorite when she was growing up and l loved John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. Although the music and the dancing and the stage was great I was a little disappointed with the characters. The Fine Line (the water show) was great, and so was (A Journey in Time) the ice skating show. Columbus...The Musical was ok but the story was a little weird - but it had nice music and dancing. The Stand Up Comedy show was not that good. One of the comedians was not good at all (the first one to perform) the second one was great. My favorite show was the Headliner starring Earl Turner. He is an experience entertainer who has played in Vegas. He was fabulous. He sang old songs and new songs, he was funny, he could dance, he got the audience involved singing, clapping and dancing. Since we have been to Jamaica and Cozumel many times we did not book any tours but just did our own thing. Had never been to Labadee. We spent the day at the beach which was very nice but you need water shoes since it is a little rocky. The buffet lunch was great. It was easy to get off and back on the ship. We made sure we were not the first to leave or last to return so there were no long lines at anytime for us. Our cabin steward was excellent, she kept cabin clean and provided everything we asked for. All the personnel on the ship was very helpful, friendly and attentive. Bartenders were very good although I did not see many of them around the buffet or the pool area as I have seen in the past. I ordered several drinks - Strawberry Daiquiri, Pina Colada and Mud Slide and they were very good. Departure was very organized and we left the ship around 8:30 am. The line through Customs moved fast. Overall I would like to summarize what I liked and did not like about the ship. What I don't like: The way the ship is designed there is no covered area to sit like in a lounge or bar where you can see the ocean. Maybe I just did not find it. I don't like having to book my dinner or my shows. I liked the old way where you ate at 8 and your shows are at 10. When I am on vacation, I don't want to have to think. I want them to plan everything for me. I think the Windjammer is too small for that many people. Maybe they should have 2 buffets like MSC Seaside has. Although the casino is divined in half - snoking and non smoking - many people who don't play come to the casino to sit and smoke. That should not be allowed. Only those who are playing should be allowed to smoke. What I liked: The ship is beautiful, the personnel is very courteous and attentive. The food is very good - quality and flavor. It has a lot of pools and areas to sit by the pool. I was always able to find a place to sit by the pools or hot tubs. I never saw any pool attendant or security monitoring that people left towels on the chairs for hours. Love the Central Park area and the Promenade Loved the Headliner show I would love to come back again on this ship. It is very modern, has a lot of technology upgrades. it is kept very clean and the food and service are great. Read Less

Seriously nice ship. I have been on the Oasis as well- thought there were a number of improvements. Entertainment: Aqua show and Grease were great. Columbus was wacky but fun. Ice show was fantastic. Food: Main dining room was good but Chops, 150, and Olivers were amazing- absolutely worth the premium. We also ate in the Solarium (really nice for a more quiet meal) and Savors (way too much food but yummy!). Solarium during the day is wonderful- really never gets too crowded. Crew is incredibly friendly. Doesn't feel at all like 6000 passengers, especially early morning and at sunset. Music in the pub was super fun- they have a guitar player that keeps the crowd going until about 1:00am. Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived around 11 and were on well before noon. Getting off was also easy- Got in line around 6:30 and was out the doors of customs by 7:15. Read Less

My wife and I enjoyed our sixth cruise on an Oasis class Royal Caribbean ship. It was our first on the Harmony of the Seas. In one word: NICE. The ships have gotten progressively better with the introduction of each ship. The Harmony has incorporated several changes/improvements making the ship even better. The ship was very well maintained. Driving and parking: We drove to Port Everglades and parked just across the driveway from terminal 18. Our arrival was greeted by a very hard, driving rain storm so the covered walkway to the terminal offered some protection. Fortunately the prime parking lot had spaces because the overflow lot, although relatively close has less covered protection. Cabin: Our cabin was a grand suite on deck six. We enjoyed the perks that came with the suite especially expedited embarkation and disembarkation along with access to the Coastal Kitchen restaurant and suite lounge. Every cabin location has distinct advantages. We liked our deck six location. One deck down to the Royal Promenade. A short walk aft to the Boardwalk activities including Sabor, Johnny Rockets and the Aqua Theater. Embarkation: Embarkation was fast and efficiently managed. We were on the ship within 10 to 15 minutes of entering the terminal. That included security, check in, a boarding photo and walk up the ramps to he Royal Promenade on deck 5. The Harmony uses the new sea pass/room/card key system so our keys were waiting in a slot outside our cabin door when we were given access to our cabin about 1 pm. We did not need the card key before that because they just noted our cabin number for a photo and the Coastal Kitchen was open. Restaurants: The dining experiences and options on the Harmony of the Seas were excellent. We dined in the Coastal Kitchen, the main dining room for suite cabin occupants. The breakfasts were excellent. The dinner menus changed every day and offered nice selections. The Windjammer was our choice for many lunches. Good food and selections. We also tried the Sabor and Izumi specialty restaurants. Both meals were very good. There are numerous food options, both complimentary and extra charge. Most people should find it easy to find their favorite foods and venues. Hint: Seriously consider an option other than the Windjammer on embarkation day to avoid the crowd unless you will be boarding after 1 pm. Service: Our experiences with the ship’s staff were excellent in every venue where their services were used. Our stateroom attendant Ronald Garth was timely every day and our cabin was well attended. Jose Sabino, the Coastal Kitchen supervisor, was pleasant and efficiently seated us every day. The waiters, of course, were well informed about their menus, and fast. The concierge, Mohamed Sayeh, took care of our requests, especially on disembarkation, and demonstrated real concern for our special needs. The Customer Service Officers, especially Akshaye Madoo and Bibi Nuroollah were patient, expert and efficient in taking care of concerns we had when we changed ships with three days to embarkation. The Coastal Kitchen Sous Chef, Henry Navarro, was available nearly every meal making certain that all was well with the food and service. The next cruise representative, Ms. Veldin, expertly booked a cruise for us. The casino host took care of our concerns. Everyone seemed expert at customer service. Perhaps the performance standard was set by the Captain who was frequently out and about talking with guests. Nice. Crowds: Yes, there were crowds at peak times in many venues, just like we have experienced on many ships. There are a couple of hints for minimizing the effects of crowds on your vacations: (1) Make reservations for shows and shore excursions before boarding. (2) Avoid peak times in the Windjammer buffet and for getting off and back on the ship in ports. We have little, if any, problem with crowds. We have found that Royal Caribbean is very good at crowd management and the first experience with their expertise is during the boarding process Conclusion: We enjoyed our Harmony of the Seas experience from embarkation to disembarkation. The shows were very good. The food and food options were first rate. The service was excellent in every venue. We are looking forward to our next Harmony of the Seas experience when the ship relocates to Port Canaveral in May of 2019. Read Less

We have been on several Royal Caribbean cruises from the smallest ship the Empress to the Oasis class ships. Since we have been on the Oasis several times so we decided to try the Harmony if the Seas since it’s a newer ship. Embarkation and disembarkation was easy and quick. We had a loft suite and the perks that went along with it made the cruise a phenomenal experience. We were able to have our own lounge and sun deck with cabanas both on the ship as well as on Labadee their private island. We were able to have priority seating at shows, reservations for dinners and excursions. You really do not have to stress anything or plan online months prior to sailing with the perks of a suite. I strongly suggest getting a suite because the ship is large and there are many people all wanting to do the same thing at the same time. With the perks of a suite it eliminates the lines, crowds and overall stress. My room attendant and concierges were PHENOMENAL!!!! I recommend the ship and the advantages of a suite, it was definitely a cruising game changer and spoiled my family and myself. Read Less

This was my first time cruising and I chose to start with Harmony. This was an excellent cruise with phenomenal shows, activities and services. Were there occasional issues? Absolutely; however, I still immensely enjoyed my cruise. The main pitfall is that it does get crowded at times. EMBARKATION: I arrived at the cruise port at 12:50 PM. By 12:57 PM, I was walking on the ship. The process was quick and pain free. SHIP: The ship is absolutely stunning. With plenty of artwork and design, it made walking around to be an incredibly pleasant experience. Likewise, there was never any issue finding chairs in the Solarium (adult only section). The only pitfall was that the 3 pools on deck 15 were always incredibly crowded. There were signs saying "maximum 21 people" in the pool, with nearly 75 people in it. The 3 waterslides were excellent and the wait for each was always reasonable. The flow-rider was a fun activity to try once. Likewise, riding the Ultimate Abyss at least once is a must on the Harmony. This was an excellent experience. FOOD: WINDJAMMER The variety is excellent. However, immediately before/after port days, it gets very crowded here. There were times where the line to get in snaked down the hall. Likewise, once inside, it was occasionally a bit difficult to find a table. That said, the egg stations, pancakes, fruit, salads, meats, burgers, desserts and more can satisfy anyone. MAIN DINING HALL This was definitely a highlight. I chose My Time dining and was assigned Silk, on deck 5. The food was excellent throughout the week. Note that making reservations for large parties is a must. They often closed the restaurant to walk-ins. In particular, the lamb shank, lobster tail, lamb chops and more were excellent. Likewise, the warm cookie with ice cream is amazing. IZUMI SUSHI ($) Unfortunately, this was disappointing. The sushi was nothing special and the service wasn't great. Likewise, this was the only time during the week where the waiters seemed to ask people systematically to rate them favourably in the post-cruise survey. The mochi for dessert was decent though. PARK CAFE I only ate here once. However, the specialty roast beef sandwhich was very good. JOHNNY ROCKETS ($) Although this place costs extra, my room included 1 meal here. The milkshakes were excellent. The burgers were nothing spectacular. MINI BITES This was on the pool deck (#15) and had a decent selection. However, the line was generally quite long, especially after port days. SHOWS GREASE This was a fun show. The acting, production value and orchestra were excellent. However, just remember that it is not the full show. At 90 minutes long, a lot of key components were cut. As a result, the plot does not entirely make sense. COLUMBUS This show was made by Royal Caribbean. It is a loose story about Columbus exploring the sea, with tons of popular songs thrown in. The singing was excellent. The ending was very cheesy (Columbus joins Royal Caribbean...). COMEDY The 2 comedians were the same all week during my sailing. They were both excellent at Improv and generally made each show entertaining. However, there were times where they started repeating jokes from earlier in the week. HEADLINE SHOW On this sailing, "The Edge Effect" performed. They are an A Capella group similar to Pentatonix. This was absolutely excellent. The only negative... it was only 50 minutes long. THE FINE LINE This is the nighttime aqua acrobatics show. The performance, production value and tricks were phenomenal. The open air setting of this performance made it even more enjoyable. 1887 A JOURNEY IN TIME This was interesting. It was definitely enjoyable. It's largely a figure skating show with fancy costumes. ENTERTAINMENT: THE QUEST I am glad I attended this. As a first time cruiser, I had no clue what to expect. This was amazing. It is an ADULT ONLY show with audience participation. JAZZ ON 4 This was a small jazz group from Italy. The area has a nice vibe. However, on some nights, with so many activities going on, the area was lacking people. HARMONY OF THE SEAS HOUSE BAND This group performs in various areas throughout the week, including the Promenade, as the music for Grease, as the nightly jazz band on 1 occasion and more. They are excellent. KARAOKE This is on deck 5 each night. It is well animated and well attended. STAFF SERVICE ROOM ATTENDANT The room attendant for my room was great. When I asked him to come at certain times, he always accommodated. GUEST SERVICES This was probably the only area that I struggled with. I had an issue with my on-ship charge account and I received inaccurate information from multiple people on multiple occasions. This included 2 senior guest services officers. The lines for guest services are long 4 or 5 days per sailing, so some time was definitely lost trying to deal with this. I expected a bit more when interacting with these individuals. EXCURSIONS NASSAU (BAHAMAS) Atlantis half-day adventure. Although this was incredibly costly, it was definitely worth it. I still had enough time to go on all the major rides and really enjoy my day there. That said, as the new Coco Cay waterpark in the Bahamas opens soon (owned by Royal Caribbean), I think this port will be visited less frequently. The transportation to/from the park was well organized with everyone gathering in the ship's theatre to be processed. ST THOMAS (US VIRGIN ISLANDS) Mountain Top and Botanica Gardens. The botanical gardens was beautiful with lots of natural wildlife and nature. The mountain top, which included the "world famous banana daquiri" was fun, but very much a tourist trap. BASSETERRE (ST KITTS) Dolphin Push, Pull & Swim. This was fun, even if it was short. The opportunity to have a dolphin push you on a boogie board, pull you to shore while you hold on was definitely great. Note that no photos are allowed and the company's photos are not cheap. ALL ACCESS TOUR (on the ship) For a first cruise, this was a must for me. It was definitely interesting to see the galley, engine control room, bridge and more. Each section took the time to answer our questions without making us feel rushed (with the exception being the bridge, our time was limited there). DEBARKATION: This is a busy morning. By 8:15 AM, the announcements were playing in the staterooms telling everyone what numbers were being called. That said, it was a quick process and the baggage claim/customs was easy. The only negative is that I purchased transportation to the airport from Royal Caribbean and they didn't have my name on the list. Fortunately, I had my receipt from guest services. OVERALL: This was the first time that I cruised and I didn't know what to expect. The key thing is to make the most of your time. Between the food, the service (overall), the shows, the activities and atmosphere, I had an excellent vacation and would absolutely return to this ship or another new Royal Caribbean ship (like Symphony of the Seas) in the future. This cruise was non stop fun and excitement! Harmony of the seas really impressed us on this one. We had a balcony cabin that was very well appointed and very clean. The ship itself was huge with entertainment to match! The zip line was short but a very cool experience being right over the boardwalk area! There was a carousel on the board walk area that was more of a novelty item, but none the less amazing to experience at sea. The giant slide at the back of the ship was thrilling! It was not super intense but was super fun and is completely dry! The ice show was amazing with Olympic ice champions performing. The robot bar was neat but more of a novelty item as well. I didn't really care for how it mixed drinks compared to the real people but still a neat experience! The rising tide bar into central park was also super cool, and the fact that there is a park in the middle of the ship is amazing. The aqua show was the thing that really put this ship over the top! It was an amazing show and the high flying acts were amazing to see at sea! Just be sure not to sit in the first few rows unless you are in your swimsuit! Read Less

We are a Diamond Plus couple and have sailed Harmony before. Liked it so much we returned. Had a credit from earlier cruise so moved up to a Sky Class Suite (8654). Extra benefits were very nice. Concierge service by Mohamed and Checker was excellent throughout They whisked us off the ship on Disembarkation through heavy traffic. Saved us lots of worries. Had helpful tips throughout. Coastal Kitchen a mixed blessing. Nice facility on deck 17 with great views. Evening drinks were nice. Breakfast was great. Evening meal saw a limited menu but good food. Excellent benefit of Sky Class is the chance to have MDR meals delivered to the room. Had a great meal on veranda while sipping complimentary champagne as we watched the seas go by. Delightful memory. Learned to ask at breakfast for evening menu. Then compared with MDR and went where our tastes took us. Entertainment was great. Discovered what went on at Rydell High from GREASE cast. Very talented actors, dancers, musicians and stage hands. Do not miss ice show. Suite benefits allow you to get a reserved seat. Nice. Overall service was great. Room was spotless, nice size with big balcony. Met Julie who ran the Bionic Bar. She was terrific. So were all the pubs and bars we visited. Labadee. Barefoot Beach a delight. Great food and service there. I did the wave rider. Great fun. I signed up for the zip line over the water, but due to high winds they would not take anyone over 180 lbs. I weighed in at 191 lbs! They told a family ahead of me that they would not fly the smallest of their kids because she was not over 120 lbs. Jamaica. Nice port to just walk around all the shops. Took a tour doing tubing down a river. Very pleasant experience. Cozumel, we went to Xcaret for the day. It was overwhelming. It is a Mexican version on Disneyland. Took ferry to Playa Del Carmen and bus inland to site. We spent an hour swimming down an underground river. Then changed for lunch. Then spent 1.5 hours walking through jungle like terrain seeing lots animals. Exhausted by the time we found the meeting place for the bus back. Overall a fascinating day. The ship is still new and even on our second visit we were still finding new places to go and things to do. Tours of back stage and food prep area are recommended. Missed the Bridge Tour because we were bust elsewhere. The reserved area for suite guests to get some sun is very nice, particularly on days when everyone is out getting the last rays of the cruise. Both the Crown and Anchor Society and the Dining Room Director sent us complimentary bottles of champagne. We enjoyed both while dining on the big balcony watching the sea go by and remembering the highlights of the day. On departure we had our luggage sent ahead so we did not have to collect it in the morning. It is worth the extra $25.00. We are Royal Caribbean regulars and enjoy the big ships but still go to smaller ships for a different experience. We are off to the Freedom and the Southern Caribbean cruise soon. Can't wait! (We also do Celebrity for a bit more elegant experience). Read Less

Our family & friends cruise was EPIC on some many levels. For the past 15 -18 months I've dreamed; plotted; planned; saved & overspent and stressed my immediate family immensely to make this happen (LOL...they have forgiven me). It was a dream came true with 34 beautiful people. We had multiple flights delayed & cancelled. Our pre-cruise hotel was a disaster :(but we made the best of it. Through it all we relaxed related and released any doubts or troubles during our EPIC cruise. This ship was perfect for our group. Something for everyone to do. We had special t-shirts, a baby dedication Svc by Reverend & custom-made mass-choir, fun filled sea days, reconnected & celebrated 40 years of friendship Wild-Bunch style, island hopping & shopping with toes in the sand; family-style dining with the best wait-staff ever & specialty restaurants (Chops Grille, Izumi, & Wonderland) they spoiled us Royally; a private deck party; multiple milestone birthday celebrations; thrilled by the Robotic Bar, Sip Sip Sipped with drink packages; Voomed w/WIFI, loud Hush Parties (aka Silent party) Exchanged clothes during the Quest game-night ; took in Broadway style shows with a WIN at the Casino,Flow riding & boogie boarding; concurred the water slides & scarred by the Abyss; Zip-lining to our hearts content; Closed our trip with a family breakfast & Wakanda night extravaganza ending w/On-Air karaoke "At Last"!!!! So we will enjoy the tan lines & carry the cruise vibes with us always. We had plenty of Harmony on the seas. Can't wait to cruise again. #weCelebratedEverything #myfriendsaregoals #ItsAllLove #Loyal2Royal xoxo Read Less

We decided on Royal Caribbean because of the onboard activities primarily. I have 2 kids that love to surf so they were on the flow rider non-stop. I was able to relax at the pool/spa and enjoy the casino, while my boys were entertained by the flow rider & ping pong, basketball, mini golf etc. So we met for lunch & then reconnected for dinner & a show. It was perfect! I didn’t have to entertain them at all. The food was great. We enjoyed the Windjammer the most due to their huge selections. The stateroom attendant was terrific. Actually all of the staff was amazing! Anytime we had a question they were determined to find an answer no matter what. Everyone was extremely friendly & accomidating. We also enjoyed the excursions. The ship was amazing it was like being on a floating city. I would highly recommend Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas! Read Less

The biggest cruise ship? It was huge. The employees were exceptional, always with a smile on their face and willing to help. Everything was by the book. The cabin, the food, the entertainment, the food, the shows, the music, even the karaoke sounded like professionals. Thinking about embarkation, I was complaining about how long it usually takes, but was surprised that it took less than 20 minutes from sidewalk to the cabin (we arrived at the port at 12noon.) The cabin was decorated as requested (and paid for) As crown and anchor members we had fruits and cheese and a cold bottle of white wine waiting for us. The ship was very easy to navigate around (without having to go through the smoke filled Casino). My wife loved the landscaping of Central Park and also the ship decoration. Attended a different show every day and liked them all. Disembarked at each port of call and enjoyed what each place had to offer (the clear waters at St. Martin's beach, the history and spanish architecture of Old San Juan and the playgrounds and beach of Labadee (the food they take to Labadee is terrible) They have an app on the ship called the Royal IQ. DO NOT THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY. Works only 5% of the time. It keeps disconnecting from the ship wifi becoming worthless. I can't remember the last time I was robbed like this. Overall a good trip. I'm going to start with the one negative, elevators. I got to know the stairs pretty well b/c the elevators were constantly full and/or took forever. There is 6000 people on board so it is what it is, excercise is a good thing. If you don't like crowds Harmony is not for you, but you adapt. The staff was really great except at the pool bar when we wanted pop in the souvenir cup they'd ignore us. Gratuity driven maybe? Besides that, our dinner waiter in American icon Jonathan (table 150) was incredible! I'd cruise again just to deal with him, he bent over backwards for us as did the drink guy. All staff always said hi and had a smile. The food was very good and there was a lot of it! Windjammer was always jammed packed of people at meals, Solarium bistro was our go to b/c I got tired of crowds. If you like coffee it's actually pretty good and free! I bought the coffee card and if all you want it regular coffee save your money. Soda package is great for the kids and water package was great for the islands. The pools are ok but always real full. Hot tubs were nice but kids splashing and jumping in got real old. Solarium at night took care of that, during the day though its very hot. In the afternoon it's difficult to find chairs on deck. If you smoke they have a real nice area on deck 15 with chairs, I figured it be off away under a stair or something but its a nice area. You can smoke in the casino too which is nice but could be very crowded. There are a lot of shows and things to do on board. St Maarten has great shopping but pushy locals. I get it though they had a hurricane and that is how they survive, but more than once I had to tell people to back the hell up. I want to go back though for sure! Labadee had deep sand and was nice, but very corporate. The excursions though didn't seem worth the $ IMO. Puerto Rico was ok, we walked around San Juan and the forts. Shopping not very good compared to St Maarten, get alcohol on St Maarten and jewelry. Cigarettes real cheap too, but only allowed one carton despite what the people tell you. Getting off the ship was a breeze right thru customs, though figuring out where the shuttle picks you up is confusing. Coming on board was a snap too, very quick and thorough. I can't wait to go again, I'm officially hooked! Read Less

We chose Harmony of the Seas because of the amenities and size of the ship. I didn’t even feel the ship rocking once. They have good stabilizers on the ship. My husband gets very seasick on cruises but he didn’t need to take his medicine once. There was so much to do on this ship. We enjoyed our nightly entertainment including the Columbus musical and the Grease musical. We missed the ice skating show but I heard it was fantastic. The water show was amazing. We did the escape the rubicon experience which was really fun and brought us closer with other people on the cruise ship. We beat it with two minutes to spare. There was so much to do but we probably did about 1/3 of the activities that were offered. I can’t wait to return to the Harmony to continue to explore what she has to offer. Read Less

The dinning experience is unforgettable. the ship was very clean and offers a lot of things to do. The shows were excellent and very entertaining. We are planning to book another vacation next year with Royal Caribbean. That is definitely the best way to spend a vacation with families and friends. The kids loved their time on the ship and on the ports. We booked a few shore excursions and the winner was the zip line at Labadee. Everything was very organized and safe. We felt secure and it was an amazing experience. Even my mom that is 74 years old loved the zip line. We had so much fun!!! I encourage my friends to have the same experience as we did. Definitely the best way to spend a family vacation is onboard of a Royal Caribbean ship. Read Less

We were in a Grande Suite, Deck 9. We booked this cruise because my sister in law needed to be back for school which starts today. We get along fabulously. Her husband passed, it was cheaper for us to get the suite than for her to pay for a single cruiser. The cabin was marvelous. We had 2 flat TV's, a huge (and I mean huge) bathroom with a gigantic bathtub. We had a double balcony, a bar, big closet, coffee machine, robes, and chocolate covered strawberries when we first walked in. It was amazing. The only thing that I would change in that room is that there was only one way to get to the double balcony. We had purchased coffee cards that we didn't need. There is a BIG latte machine in the Coastal Kitchen were suite people eat. We also had complementary wine from 4-8 everyday. The marvelous waiters kept your glass full during dinner. Almost all the wait staff knew your name by the 2nd time they served you. We also had free access to all shows (this was after I spent hours at home booking shows and dining. We got on the ship without standing in any lines except when we first got there, we stood about 7 minutes in the suite line, but no lines after that. That was phenomenal considering 5,200 other people were also trying to get on. This food was over the top, so much that we didn't feel the need to go to any specialty dining. We booked another cruise while on board. This was the best cruising so far that we have done. After next cruise we will be diamond. When we left the ship, the concierges took us right down to the customs line we had already sent our bags to the plane so didn't have to drag them along. Best ever cruise. Would book the Harmony again. Read Less

I had previously been on the Allure of the Seas ship twice, before I heading on Harmony. I felt excited to go on another cruise that was very similar to Allure, since that experience was amazing. I have two kids, one 14 years old and the other 11. They were excited to explore what activities the ship had to offer, for example the Ultimate Abyss, which was an adult version of the slides at McDonald’s, the fantastic water slides, and even the pizza at Sorrento’s. The shows were very well put together and it was never boring to watch. The Central Park was very beautiful and it was great for taking pictures. The food was very good it had many different cuisines from different countries. The service was amazing the waiters were very nice and generous. Also when I checked in and out it was very fast and smooth. I personally think that the cruise was very fun and exciting, I am very sure I will be coming back in 2019 on Symphony of the seas. Third cruise with Royal. Was a bit concerned with the size of the ship at first. You never know how things would go with over 6000 people. The staff however did an exceptional job. I traveled with my spouse, teen son and two sets of parents/grandparent. All found things to do and all had a great time. With the ship being the size it was, I would recommend the following especially if you are used to the flow of a smaller ship (guess every ship is small compared to this one...lol): 1. Reserve everything you can ahead of time as they get booked up quickly. From excursions to dining and entertainment. If you can book ahead, do so! 2. For more popular activities, try to go first thing in the AM - Flow Rider, Abyss and Zip Line. 3. Lots to do so pace yourself. 4. Take the stairs when you can. There can be a long wait for the elevators at times. Overall dining experience was great with lots of options. Opted to try the larger ship next year, Symphony of the Seas. Larger by a whole 2 inches!!! Read Less

Embarkation went smoothly. Took a cab from hotel to Port Everglades. The ship was fantastic. It was clean, lots of things to do, food was great and service was excellent. Cabin was always clean and comfortable in size. We dined at the Main Dining Room for breakfast and dinner. The food for dinner was excellent. Breakfast was just OK for me. We did buffet and a la carte. Wish they would change the food selection. Everyday, It was consistently the same for 7 days. I can't praise enough for the service my family and I got from this cruise ship. Everyone was friendly, attentive and passionate about their job. Special mention to Christian Reyes, our cabin stewart who made sure that we had enough towels everyday even without asking. Our cabin was always clean. Another outstanding crew are Joseph Perez, waiter at the main dining room and his assistant, Kumar. Joseph is from the Philippines and Kumar is from India. Every night, this team would serve us as if we were royalty. Service is that good. In fact, we are planning our next cruise because of these two. The Ports and Shore excursions were fun and beautiful. Went to Pearl Island in Nassau. We did snorkeling and had an amazing time. The food included was good and the beach was gorgeous. When we got there, there were not much people yet but in the afternoon, people started showing up. But, the place was big enough for people to still enjoy. There were kayaks, paddle boat, etc. to use for free. Snorkeling is additional charge if you didn't book the shore excursion with snorkeling. It costs only $15 per person with equipment included. Totally worth doing it. At St. Thomas, we went to Magen's Bay. Absolutely beautiful but there were lots of people and there were no umbrellas available We took a taxi to Magen's Bay. Plenty of taxi available at the port. It was very organized. It costs us $10 per person to Magen's Bay. At St. Kitts, we went on a land tour excursion with Grey Thenford. He was phenomenal. He took us around the city. Went to Romney Manor and Caribelle Batik. It was gorgeous. The garden at the manor had tropical plants from around the world. Then, he took us to the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site. It was breathtaking. At sea, there were plenty of things to do. Our family went ziplining, watched shows, went to the arcade, rode the carousel, went for the Abyss and water slides. The cruise ship had mini golf and splash bay for the little kids. Everyone had a great time. Not a dull moment. Disembarkation was fast. To avoid the crowd, we left the ship around 8:00am. Had breakfast at Windjammer at 6:30am. At this time, there were plenty of seats available. We did the valet luggage service of Delta and it was convenient. But, if you leave the cruise ship early, you will still be able to get your luggage fast. It was done in an organized manner. We travelled with children ages 14, 11, 8, 5. They all had a great time. I definitely would recommend this ship to everyone. We had a special and wonderful time with this ship. This is my third time cruising and my first with Royal. Read Less

It had been 22 years since our last cruise, before we had kids and we just took our first family cruise with our 11, 15 and 18 year old. We also went with another family. Harmony did not disappoint! Boarding the ship was smooth, the service from our room to the bartenders was top notch. The quality of the food at the main dining room was good, but we also ate at sabor and 150 Central Park. Sabor had the best guacamole we had ever had and our dinner at Central Park was Amazing and worth the extra money to dine there! Our kids all had a blast and there was plenty to keep them busy on board. The days at sea we rarely saw them because they were busy on the water slides, flow rider, playing ping pong, zip lining, or just meeting new friends. The only problem with Harmony is that our expectations are so high for our next cruise, I’m not sure if they can be exceeded. Read Less

Must start with that we have had an incredibly nice experience! and memory that we value for life! But there are some things/changes that could be better. The bed was very hard. My husband has back problems due to an old break in the back and the bed made this worse. Had luckily with painkillers, the sun beds were good offloaders. But it ruined a good part of the trip. The information on various excursions, activities in the boat and various information could be better illuminated. A lot we didn't get with us, even though we read "the newspaper" (which was something we looked forward to at night) every night. In fact, many of the clocks sold at the best price are a lot cheaper in Norway. The sun beds were good to lie in when you got hold of one. Were "towels" that basked in most things. Could go several hours before the owners came to let themselves. Then I mean, of course not that they were in the pool, but found themselves other streder on the boat. It was stated that the beds could only be held in 30min, but this was absolutely not followed up, either by the staff or guests! In the evenings, the restrooms could quickly be rotated and it could float some rubbish. The restaurant at Plan 16 was fantastic on food and had a few for everyone. But it could quickly become too full and you had to stand but plate in hand to wait for others to finish! When you got set up, the food was cold. Was a lot of chaos. Could have been more places where you could get you bread food with the toppings that you could take with you. So you didn't need to occupy a table. But we had and many great adventures!!!! Our dear Lugar Renholderske was helping give the trip that little extra! He learned English so he could wish us good day/afternoon/evening etc in our native language. He was nice, gave 110% and made such a mood that you hoped you'd meet him in the hallway when you left/arrived at the stateroom! 99% of the staff were nice and delightful people as one could see that loved their job. And they did it in a fantastic way! Escape room was amazing! You have to cooperate with people one does not know and solve puzzles! A little difficult when everything takes place in English but a 10 ' is in experience and Gjenomført entertainment value! Read Less

We recently celebrated my husband's retirement by taking a 7 day cruise on the Harmony of the Seas. Our itinerary included the Eastern Caribbean destinations of Nassau, Bahamas, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, and Basseterre, St. Kitts. We had two adjacent oceanfront balcony rooms on the 8th deck, and our rooms were toward the front of the ship. The cabin steward did an excellent job of keeping our rooms clean and well-stocked with ice. Most evenings, we dined at Silk, and enjoyed delicious meals and phenomenal service. On one evening, we went to Wonder Land, a specialty restaurant on board. Our dinner at Wonder Land was an amazing experience! The food and the unique manner in which it was presented were incredible. To add to the evening, our family was seated directly in front of the enormous glass windows overlooking the Boardwalk. The view was simply stunning! The cruise provided endless entertainment options for our family of four (including two grown children, ages 21 and 29). We enjoyed the on-board production of Grease so much that we actually saw it twice! We found the comedy shows to be really funny, and we also really enjoyed the juggling / comedy duo. During our sea days, we participated in multiple trivia competitions, scavenger hunts, quizzes, and even Bingo! My husband enjoyed spending time by the pool, and my son enjoyed spending money (and even winning money) in the casino. Our first port was Nassau, Bahamas. We did the Blue Lagoon Island Deluxe Beach Break. This excursion was a pleasant surprise for me. The water was crystal clear and the beach area never felt crowded. We floated and snorkeled, then enjoyed a delicious lunch. It was a very relaxing excursion. Our second port was Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. We did the St. John Beach and Snorkel excursion. This excursion was a bit disappointing for us. It took approximately 30 minutes via boat to arrive at Trunk Bay. From there, it took approximately 20 minutes via jeep to arrive at the beach for snorkeling. As a result, we had about one hour to actually snorkel. While snorkeling, we saw one large tarpon and schools of bait fish. There was very little coral. The beach was extremely windy, making it impossible to relax and enjoy the sun. In addition, the area had no concessions available due to remaining damage from last year's hurricanes. The area was beautiful, but we did not feel that this excursion was a good value for the cost. Our third port was Basseterre, St. Kitts and our excursion was the St. Kitts Dolphin Experience. This was our favorite excursion, by far! We had multiple opportunities to interact with our dolphin, Angeline. Our animal trainer, Gigi, was very knowledgeable. She made us feel relaxed and comfortable interacting with the dolphin. We highly recommend this excursion to people of all ages. It was one of the highlights of our trip. In conclusion, we thoroughly enjoyed our cruise on the Harmony of the Seas. We would cruise on this ship again in the future, and would seek out new destinations. Read Less

It's our third RC cruise on Oasis line ships and it certainly will not be the last! The architecture and design of the ships is amazing. The cabin is very comfortable and practical. The shows are very good, especially the Columbus. We only used the main restaurants and we were satisfied, especially the attendant Kristina from Russia and the assistant Francisco from Brasil, both very competent and friendly. Another highlight is the cleanliness and conservation in all areas. The stops are interesting, although we already knew the places from another cruise. Some onboard prices are especially exaggerated for the tours, some of dubious quality, like the "Go Native" from Jamaica where we spent more time on the bus than on the stops and the meal was terrible. In Cancun we did the "Dune Buggy and Snorkeling" tour. By the description the tour included a stop on a beach but actually stopped at a restaurant where we had to eat fast by the time. And the snorkeling time was very short. Finally, since we had two seniors in the group, the wheelchair loan process was very time-consuming. But overall, once again, we were pleased with our trip.
