This ship was recommended to us because it was a new and the itinerary is what we were looking for. We have been on other ships with Carnival that we liked better. A lot of the rooms(bars, etc) and pools were not big enough to hold the number of people that were on this ship. The serenity area was nice, but it was hard to find a place to sit unless you got there early. The decor of the ship was ...
This was our 5th Anniversary Cruise. It occurred right after/during Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
The Good:
Embarkation went smoothly we arrived half an hour before our embarkation time and was on the ship drink in hand 45 minutes later.
Our Cove Balcony #2294 was great, perfect size for the two of us.
The alchemy bar, with AnnMarie and Luciana, was our favorite spot( we had the cheers ...
We choose this cruise because it was supposed to be a new ship, 8 day cruise, & the ports it was going to. Also the first cruise on Paradise was amazing. But Vista was totally the opposite fist it was scheduled to leave Miami port at 4:00 then rescheduled to leave at 8:00 & then after everyone boarded the said there was something being being repaired on this new ship, but we were still going to ...
We booked this ship because of its size and newness. The ship was very nice but it seemed to be understaffed. Even with the large number of passengers onboard the ship didn't feel crowded except in the pool areas. The stateroom staff was efficient and friendly and the ship was kept very clean.
Embarkation: We arrived at Port of Miami and waited approximately 45 minutes to get through ...
So let's start with embarkation: It was pretty fast but I kinda felt like we were being herded like cattle. Once we were on the ship I was a little disappointed with the atrium which seems to be the consensus.
Cabin: Cove cabin 2405 was great, loved being so close to the water.
Dining: Wellll the MDR was fairly good and the buffet at lunch was ok but the breakfast buffet is terrible. Guys ...
Had a very nice honeymoon on the Vista. We were not sure we were going to make it, as the hurricane hit Miami a few days before, but everything ended up OK.
Ship was beautiful- and the crew kept it spotless.
Not to many kids which was great.
Staff: With the exception of a few at the Red Frog on the Lido, the majority of the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there, and gave fantastic ...
Well, the planned stay in Miami was shortened by hurricane Irma, so we will definitely need to try this port again in the future! Embarkation/debarkation went smoothly, though, and as usual, all the services were great.
We enjoyed our cruise very much, and though I hate to say, we were a bit disappointed in the Vista. Briefly: the dining rooms have no staircase, they are very nice, but the wow ...
We are Royal Caribbean frequent cruisers. Our experience with Carnival, was just an old cruise (Victory). We give another try to Carnival, because of the brand new Vista, and for the price, celebrating our daughter high school graduation. We travel from Puerto Rico to Miami. Stay at Hotel President in Miami Beach, a cute small boutique hotel, just a street from the beach. With the price you get ...
I wanted to share that we were very impressed with the Cruise Director Matt Mitcham and Captain Battinelli especially - as well as the staff of the Vista.
We booked a 6 day cruise and cruised for 9. We are sitting in the airport now waiting on our flight home. Communications were frequent during the storm and everyone was informed of the Captains plan. Announcements were even made in other ...
This was our 7th cruise but only our second cruise on Carnival and the Vista did not disappoint. We sailed the Breeze last year and enjoyed the itinerary so much it prompted us to book the Vista this year out of Miami. We typically have to cruise during busy times because of our sons school/camp schedule so we were prepared for lots of passengers and an overabundance of kids on board. As I stated ...
