PROS: Cruise was Very Nice. Good ports and Great Port times. Had a lot of fun. Food was also really good and we had open seating which was also great. We loved the Ship as it was new. Staff was nice, and right away we found a good server and booked with him every night. Its a good recommendation to anyone who likes consistency as the waiter will serve you right every night / breakfast as he / she ...

Great new ship

This was my third cruise, second with Carnival. I wanted a large newer ship & I got that with the Vista. They changed a few ways of doing things. A bunch of little things were a great addition such as the mail boxes outside the rooms and the USB charger built into the room. The chat feature they added to be able to chat with other people in your traveling party what great. Although you still ...

Don’t go on Vista

If you are looking for a relaxing quiet cruise vacation you are probably thinking, “Why don’t we go on the new Carnival Vista???” I’m here to tell you why. This was our 3rd and will most likely be our last Carnival cruise. Cons: 1. Ship is way too crowded- if you like waiting in never ending lines with dumb/ignorant people- step right up. Ohhh and I bet you are thinking you can go to ...

Havana Area Awesome

My Husband and I cruised with my brother and sister-in-law for our 20th wedding anniversary. Since we were celebrating we opted for the Havana area. It was well worth the extra money in my opinion. We always had a lounge chair and no long lines for a drink and the pool and hot tubs were never crowded (except when they opened it up to the rest o the guests after 7). Our cabin, 5216 was very nice. ...

Last time on Carnival for Us!

Ship: Underwhelming. We are a family of four with two children ages 7 and 6 and were on the Breeze for Spring Break two years ago. We were excited for a newer ship this time around but the Vista is pretty much the big ugly stepsister to the Breeze. There is no wow factor, the color scheme is just blah and depressing. The brown rugs show every speck of dirt so you feel like your always walking ...

we cruise every year for vacation on Carnival and always plan our stay prior to our sailings around local breweries close to the port. So imagine how happy we were to find out the newest most awesome Vista had a brewery on board!!! oh and you could take tours!! We were told by staff both on the phone and in the cruise terminal ( all carnival employees) to go straight to the brewery because the ...

We have been on more than 50 cruises, so we tend to choose a cruise because of the ship rather than the itinerary. For this cruise we choose the Carnival Vista, which until the Horizon, was their newest ship. We left from the Port of Miami. Since we are Platinum members – soon to be Diamond – we have VIP embarkation privileges and our cabin is always ready as soon as we get on the ship. For ...

We sailed on Carnival Vista with our daughter and her husband to celebrate both of our anniversaries. The ship is beautiful with many small nooks that you can find quiet time as well as a plethera of activities. The spa is well appointed and the staff in general is knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoyed the Guy Fieri burgers as well as the other poolside restaurants One thing we liked ...

Lots of fun but bland decor for Carnival

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Vista

This was ocean cruise #20 for me and went to Southern Caribbean ( Aruba, Curacao, La Romana, and Grand Turk). Gone are the days of "Fun Ships" being eccentric & whimsical in the decor. The Vista is rather boring & unremarkable in ambiance. The Liquid theater was a total muddle with very few good seats on the floor and even less in the balcony. one would think at 133,500 gross tons they could ...
