Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on National Geographic Sea Bird

I had never been on a cruise and am delighted that the Lindblad/NatGeo trip on Seabird was my first. I could not have asked for a better experience. Everyone who worked on the cruise was amazing. Each person made me feel like I was the most important person on the boat. The food was like eating at a five star restaurant. The outings, which were included were great! I almost got to pat a gray whale ...

Whale Encounters in the Baja

Lindblad & National Geographic excursions provide a dependable and high quality experience. Their knowledgeable staff are excellent at informing guests of what they will, and have encountered, and are always encouraging us to ask questions. We had several excursions captained by native people who took us close to Gray whales in the Magdalena Bay. We witnessed whales literally swimming a few ...

The weather was for the most part perfect. Only wildlife we saw was eagle, a distance whale. Don't go to see wildlife. If you want to hike in mud it's perfect. If you need to Kayak ,ride on a zodiac this is your trip. Food was terrible. Almost all cruises now make accommodations for Vegan or vegetarian but their food they prepared was so bad I had to go back to eating food I did not want to eat. ...

Wonderful ship....extraordinary trip

We are not big cruise ship people.....put us on a boat with 1,000 other people and we recoil. In addition, we dont travel to go to fancy restaurants or visit theme park like amenities. We travel to experience and learn about unique places. The Sea Bird and this itinerary beautifully met our goals. The ship is intimate...we easily got to know our fellow travelers as well as the Nat Geo ...

As always with National Geographic/Lindblad the naturalists and navigators create an amazing wildlife experience. On this expedition we had extraordinary views of orcas, sealions, dolphins, porpoise, birds, and scenery, as well as lovely nature walks with beautiful views. The lectures onboard were interesting and well-informed. We enjoyed visits to Friday Harbor, Alert Bay, and Victoria. The ...

4th Linblad cruise and lived up to expectations. Staff were fantastic. Loved the photography tips. Alaska is a beautiful place - animals, sea, quiet, pristine - few people - I am sure the earth is happy there also. Fewer people everywhere would do the world a lot of good. The food was fantastic and the stewards so personal and great. The photographers were fantastic and the naturalists (Lee ...

Small ship - gigantic experience!

After a dull Alaska cruise on a large ship, we decided to try again and were not disappointed - this was a truly a wonderful expedition on the Lindblad/National Geographic Sea Bird. It wasn't only the humpback whales, killer whales, sea otters, brown bears and sea lions - we saw plenty of them for extended periods of time - but the chance to explore ashore in the wilderness. It was as if a veil ...

We chose this cruise for our family of 10. Ages were 9,11,15,18, 47,47,48,49,74 &75. The cabins were compact, but very workable. Because our cabins were all in a line we could find each other and the younger ones could be with their parents or not. Meals, snacks and service was exceptional. I asked each member to tell me the three things they liked best and the 9 year old listed breakfast as ...

THUMBS UP for NatGeo Lindblad Sea Bird Wild Alaska Cruise!

Review for a Alaska Cruise on National Geographic Sea Bird

The NatGeo Lindblad Wild Alaska cruise on the Sea Bird (May 19th embarkation from Sitka) was incredible! We cannot say enough good things about the staff, crew and naturalists who made our 6-day cruise exceptional. In addition, our little Sea Bird made it possible to get up close and personal to some of the Alaskan inlets and passages that the larger cruise ships cannot (or SHOULD not). [I'll be ...

Great Expedition!

Whales! Not only did we see blue whales, gray whales and humpback whales, we were also close enough to hear them, and feel the spray of the "blow." The arcs of dolphins, rolls of sea lions, flights of pelicans, and spirals of frigate birds were also impressive. The strolls through the desert were also compelling and a stark change from life on the water. The staff were experienced, ...
