This was my first experience of trying this River cruise and it was also my first Winter time travel which I hate to go during cold weather. I was bit scare at first and a bit of wonder why it too small from the outside but once I went inside, I was shock of how neat and beautiful the it was. The crew did an amazing job of help everyone and cabin room was something that I will never forget. I ...
This was the first river cruise for my husband and I. We chose this cruise line because it had received many great reviews and our travel agent strongly recommended them. We were not disappointed! We met the ship in Budapest in the early afternoon after almost twenty-four hours of travel. We were so excited and we were greeted with enthusiasm and kindness. Although we could not go to our ...
We spent 3 nights in Prague, and was then transported to Vilshofen to start our weeks cruise. Everything from landing in Prague was great, Ama met us at airport, then our guides in Prague were wonderful. On the ship the staff was the best. Food was wonderful. Great variety to choose from, and all was very fresh. Cabin was larger than I thought it would be and bathroom was the same, good size. The ...
It was my sister who lives in London, England who picked the Amawaterways after reading great reviews online. My brother and mom live in Singapore and i myself in Toronto and we wanted to get together for a trip and to spend time with our mom who is 81.. I was so glad that the Amaserena turned out to be our ship, based on the date and length of cruise suitable for all of us. .
The cruise ...
We’re a late 50’s couple on the AmaSerena’s Oct 2-9 Vilshofen-Budapest sailing.
Comments regarding the AmaSerena itself likely apply as well to the other AmaCerto-class ships.
(AmaPrima/Sonata/Reina/Venita)
Although not quite the youngest couple on this sailing, it appears AMA’s Danube appeals to a mainly retired yet affluent, cultured & fit 65-75+ Northeast US crowd.
Notably, no one ...
This was our first river cruise but we had done ocean cruises in large ships previously. We choose a river cruise to have some good conversations with other passengers and I wanted lots of walking, whereas my wife didn't want much.
Meals on the boat were excellent but outside of meal time to get good food on the ship was hard. I guess that we imagined that there would be something all day ...
My husband had been wanting to try a river cruise for years, but I was worried it would cater to the retired set. Our group of 11 middle aged travelers was pleasantly surprised at the variety of ages aboard and thoroughly enjoyed our week of luxury. First of all, we loved having choices for our excursions each day from biking to hiking or taking a more relaxed tour by bus and walking. All the tour ...
After much research and conversations with travel agent, decided on AMA Waterways and was not disappointed! It was a wonderful experience onboard the AMA Serena, cruising the Danube. Tours were very well organized with very knowledgeable local guides. The crew onboard was excellent, always smiling and pleasant and ever present to assist and answer any questions you may have. Embarkation very ...
We chose this particular cruise based on the dates we could travel easily. It was our first and it was fabulous. Embarkation was easy as can be. Our taxi was met by crew who took our luggage which magically appeared in our cabin. We traveled with my parents and we all wondered how our luggage got there... they checked off our names and we got on the ship and joined a cocktail party. The crew works ...
We chose AmaWaterways primarily because we felt they offered a mid to upscale experience and would be an excellent value. We were not disappointed and in fact in most areas the crew and staff far exceeded our expectations.
First, the ship itself is impeccably maintained. Captain Henk Klos and his crew clearly had safety as their priority all the while being very gracious to all guests.
