Nothing like Christmas in Dresden.

Torgau is a quick evening stop, and not wanting to waste an opportunity. Our cruise director, Tomas, took us on a walk through town.

Top notch customer service

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on Viking Beyla

We had heard that Viking cruises were the best. So once we retired we scheduled our first one. The service on these cruises is top notch. Every staff member went out of their way to provide excellent service and respond to any inquiries. The food was also excellent. We were pleased that the water level was high enough to allow our ship to traverse the Elbe River. The room was spacious for a ship, ...

Awesome River Cruise Experience

This river cruise was my second with Viking. I love the way everyone makes you feel like you are the most important person, and your happiness and well-being their goal. The places we visited were very interesting, transportation efficient and very pleasant, and the excursions meticulously organized. Also, the social experience is amicable and familiar, getting to know all your fellow ...

We had been to Europe many times but had never been on a river cruise and people had told us how enjoyable they were. We signed up for a Viking River cruise in 2020 but because of Covid it was canceled. I was very impressed that Viking refunded every dollar without any hassle and at that point I decided when we would be able to travel again it would definity be with Viking. I love European ...

Beware Elbe Low Water Level

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Viking Beyla

My wife and I had cruised Viking on the Rhine, Main, Danube, and Moselle previously. We knew what a great experience Viking provides its passengers, and so we wanted another Viking experience on another river. We had attempted to book the Elbe cruise before, but because the river was too low for a complete on-water itinerary, we chose the cancellation option Viking afforded us. We booked this ...

Best Viking experience by far!

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on Viking Beyla

We were looking for something a bit different from the normal European rivers and the Elbe looked interesting. On the surface it's a typical Viking river cruise - great food, top flight staff, comfortable up to date ship, excellent shore excursions lead by knowledgable and personable guides. But there was something extra on this ship (beyond the best Cruise Director in the industry and the waiter ...

Elegant Elbe with a fantastic Captain, Hotel Manager, Program Director, and of course… Chef Galin

This was a newer offering and the ports and stops included places we had not been to before. The entire crew worked to make the voyage wonderful! I do not recall the hotel manager’s name, but he made every gathering fun and funny. What a great sense of humor. The program director Kalin was always on the ball and foot great care of us during our time with him. Chef Galin (and Kalin) is from ...

Too many nights in hotels

I chose this cruise because I really wanted to see Prague. Berlin was also an absolute treat. I was disappointed, however, since we spent more nights in hotels than we did on the ship. The hotel in Berlin was so miserably hot we couldn't sleep, and the hotel wasn't able to fix it. I also didn't like that we were only provided breakfast at the hotels. The hotel in Prague was very nice, but I will ...

The new ship was lovely, the food very good with (too much) abundance. The wait/bar staff were so accommodating, remembered what we drank, etc. They were lovely about serving lunch also in the lounge are as we had so few people. The tour director, the hardworking staff, from every job, housekeeping, front desk, dining, check in & off ship, was a joy. No complaints there. The Elbe left some ...

This was our second Viking river cruise. Previously we've done all the big cruise liners, Carnaval (Alaska), royal Carib (med), Norwegian (Hawaii), Celebrity (Australia/New Zealand) and Princess (Panama Canal). After our first Viking river cruise, we decided we found our vacation home. The first one, the Danube, was so perfect, we had to go again. After our second, we already booked our third ...

Viking Gave Me the Worst Cruise Out of My 36 Cruises

Viking touts it's luxury and wonderful excursions.I just returned from the worse cruise experience of my life and I blame it on Viking River Cruises. Viking is not the image they advertise! Their website didn't work for months before my cruise. It took an hour to get through the phones. My flight back -which Viking arranged - was canceled and they never informed me (Luckily I looked ...
