Gorgeous scenery, knowledgeable and delightful tour guides, amazing and delicious food, a variety of interesting excursions, a good balance between scheduled sites and free time — we had a delightful time and enjoyed every minute of being spoiled. Everything onboard and on any of the shore excursions worked like clockwork. Buses and guides were waiting for us. We never felt rushed. Our comfort and ...
We chose this cruise because we got to see 4 different countries including Switzerland, France, Germany and the Netherlands. We had a great trip. The crew, the service, the food, the ship, the weather was all fantastic. We met some great people. The Rhine is so beautiful. You get to see so many of the ancient castles on the cliffs overlooking the river. You go through eleven locks during the ...
We had never done a river cruise before. Viking was an excellent choice because they take care of everything and reduced the stress on the travelers. Several friends had gone on Viking cruises and highly recommended them. Our experience was AMAZING. We used Viking to book our airfare, which was wise since they met us at the airport and got us to our hotel (and also from the ship to the ...
The cruise travelled the Rhine, and my mom and I are of German descent. The food was fantastic onboard. The service was friendly and prompt. The clothes washing service was very well done.
I will personally never forget the dinner and tour of the monastery in Germany. The duck served at the monastery was impeccable. We went to church in Cologne. It was interesting to see a Catholic service ...
Never been to Amsterdam and some of the other locations on the Rhine. We were able to hook up with my nephew stationed in Germany near Koblenz which made the trip more special.
So nice to have multiple USB ports in the room, and free drinking water replenished daily.

We were supposed to take this cruise in 2020. We were doing it because one of our sons was going to be married in the north of France; and, we were going to go on this same cruise and then take the train to the wedding venue.
We postponed the trip for 2 years until Covid was no longer a deterrent for the trip to be possible. We enjoyed the trip very much and learned a lot from the tour ...
We had always wanted to try a Viking river cruise and this one did not disappoint. The Eir was wonderful: beautifully maintained, comfy cabins, cozy and small so easy to get around. The staff was fabulous; all were very helpful and friendly and all acted as though they were glad to be there, and glad we were there too. Service was fabulous.
Our cabin was fine but that sliding-glass door to ...
The Overview of this cruise really sums up the reasons why we liked it so much. Everything about the cruise ran smoothly from the restaurant to the included excursions. The look and feel of how the ship has been kitted out is definitely Scandinavian, think IKEA and you won’t be far wrong.
Each day we took an included excursion. These normally, but not always, consisted of walking tours for 2/3 ...
We had always wanted to do a river cruise in Europe and this was an excellent first cruise. The people were very nice and attentive to our needs, the food was fantastic and the tours were all very interesting. There is a castle seemingly around every turn in the river and the scenery was great. We went when the river was low and the day before we left for the cruise we got an email saying that ...
