Was fortunate to be on the maiden voyage of the Lofn on April 6, 2015 out of Amsterdam. From the moment of arrival to the day of departure the on board cruise experience was exceptional. The Lofn crew and staff could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. My cabin exceeded my level of expectation relative to comfort, style, and convenience. The dining experiences were noteworthy particularly in view of the fact the dining room staff did not have the advantage of working together for a period of time prior to this particular cruise experience. The quality and selection of foods were equally exceptional. In addition to the scheduled meals, Viking provided an assortment of snacks throughout the day which added to the pleasure of the cruise. Most of the shore excursions were extremely interesting and well planned and highly organized. Disembarkation day was a sad day because I felt as though I was leaving friends and the comfort of truly exceptional accommodations. Due to the positive experiences created by Viking and the Lofn staff, I've already booked an additional Viking travel experience to China in March of 2016. Viking will always be my preferred method of group travel in the future. My thanks go to all Viking employees who contributed to a very pleasurable travel time. Read Less

This was our first cruise with Viking River Cruises and it met all are expectations and them some! We have been on many Ocean cruises and they were fine but could not compare to his Viking River cruise. We booked the extra two days in Amsterdam and Switzerland which made this a really great vacation. The cruise part was fantastic with comfortable accomadations. The hole staff from the Captain on down were really friendly and worked very hard to take extra good care of their guests. I was surprised to see senior cruise stall helping with loading supplies a a couple of our stops along the Rhine River. The guides for the many guided tours where extreamly helpful and knowledgeable. The meals were the best of any cruise we have been on in the last twelve years and the complementary quailty beer and wine with lunch and dinner was great and they would refil your glass as desired. We have booked a second Viking River Cruise (Castles and Legends) for 2016 and can't wait for our departure the end of April. Read Less

I was a little concerned with this being the maiden voyage and with the exception of AC problems in my cabin the experience was fabulous. The staff was superb especially paying special attention to my 83 year old mother who became exteremly ill (sever cold) and spent 4 days in her room. This was done for both her comfort and shielding the rest of the ship. The staff delivered food to her room 3x daily and went the extra step of preparing her special light requests that were not on the menu. I can't say enough about how caring they were to my mother's needs. Food, staff, entertainment were excellent. Could not have asked for more. Will definately plan another cruise with Viking. This was my first time sailing with Viking and I absolutely loved it. I will definitely do another cruise with them. The service and attention to detail was beyond compare. We were on the maiden voyage of the Lofn so the ship was perfect. The food was great and plenty of it. All the tours were informative and fun. The earphones they provide for you to hear the tour guides worked great. Nice excursion sites as well. On the last day of the cruise I took a tumble walking back to the bus after the morning's excursion. Unfortunately for me, I did break my arm. But I can not say enough good things about the way the tour guide and the staff on the ship took care of me. They got me to a great hospital for xrays and treatment. The ship's concierge accompanied us to the hospital and back to the ship. The ship had unfortunately sailed on without us but when we were done the Captain was able to get us back on board quickly and safely and was even on the gangway to help me back on board. We were very impressed with the care and assistance we were provided throughout this cruise. I highly recommend Viking River cruises. I could not have asked for a better vacation, broken arm and all. I have never in my life been so impressed with a cruise. Viking staff are excellent; extremely competent, friendly, helpful and highly organized. We did our pre-cruise excursion in Lucerne, Switzerland. We were well taken care of and never left to feel like we were without support or direction. We boarded the ship in Basel and were immediately surround by helpful and friendly shipboard staff. Our cabin attendant was extremely helpful. Anything we needed, he provided in order to make out cabin homey and inviting. I can not say enough positive things about the food onboard. It was 'over the top'. We were warned at the beginning of the cruise that we would undoubtedly gain 5-6 pounds on the cruise. It can not be helped because the food is so good. All excursions were extremely well organized, the tour guides were spectacular and the tours were well planned. To be quite frank about it, I would have turned around and done another tour the day after we disembarked the ship. I have never experienced such service excellence, professionalism and courtesy as my wife and I did on out Viking cruise. We had absolutely no bad experiences during the entire trip. I credit it all to Viking! Read Less

This was our first time on a river cruise and it won't be our last! Viking is the best in our opinion, nothing left to chance. We enjoyed the smaller capacity vs huge ocean cruises, you got to know the staff and how hard they work so everyone and everything is perfect. The itinerary was excellent, the meals to die for, and the company was fun. We have new friends that we continue to keep in touch with. Plenty of room for everyone, no having to scout for available chairs like on a large cruise ship. We love the way you can go to meals on your own timeline, and did I mention the food was to die for? After enduring an overnight "cruise" from Portland to Nova Scotia some 20 years ago, I have never had the desire to take a cruise. Being stuck at sea with 5,000 strangers does not sound like much fun to me. Enter the Viking River Cruise: a perfect way to see so much and not have the hassle of checking in and out of hotels. The ship was fantastic and only making its second voyage when we checked in. The engineers did a fantastic job thinking of virtually everything in terms of getting as much out of contrained space as possible. The bed and linens were top shelf, storage ample, bathroom and water pressure was perfect. The only negative worth mentioning is wifi acess and the TV. I think the internet access is a long term problem that goes beyond Viking, while I chalk up the spotty TV service to being a new ship with glitches to work out. The dining room, food, and service was impeccable. Menu selections were varied and I actually appreciated the smaller portions, as one could always get seconds or even sample another entree at any meal. We really enjoyed the passengers and crew we met on this trip. It is the kind of trip that could be fun to enjoy with another couple, but I think if you were to go with a larger group, you may tend to flock together and really miss out on meeting some interesting people. Forget bringing the kids on the trip (there were none and they would go out of their minds of boredom if there had been any); youngest person we met was 31, and at 51, we were certainly in the "youngest quintile" of folks. None of that is a negative, but I think we were told the avg. age was 50 and I'd say that was a bit low. We really enjoyed the excursions and the history lessons we felt we learned throughout the trip. They are very well organized, but there is some variety in the quality of the local tour guides (ranged from excellent to "mehh")- luck of the draw. The other lesson we learned is that when they say they sail from Basel to Amsterdam, don't assume that builds in any time to actually tour either city. We did Lucerne extension (which was excellant), but by the time we were delivered to the ship, it was set to sail in less than 2 hours. With Amsterdam, arrived at 2 am but nowhere near center city...we got up early and took a cab to the city to see as much as we could before returning to the ship for our tranfer for a 1pm flight home. We will definitely be taking another Viking River Cruise. Destination TBD. Read Less

This trip was a celebration of our 20th Anniversay - a gift to ourselves. From the moment we stepped on board the Lofn we were impressed with the ship and the service. The staff provided impeccable attention to detail and made it a priority to get to know the passengers. The food surpassed our expectations and we are foodies! We participated in all but one of the included excursions and found each to be entertaining and rewarding as we learned the history of the sights through the eyes of informed guides. Even though we planned to skip one of the excursions in order to spend the day with our French family, the staff checked with us again to make sure our plans hadn't changed at the last minute. Our cabin was perfect and the shower was oversized and quite enjoyable. A clothes drying line in the shower allowed us to rinse things and hang to dry overnight. We also used the cleaning service on board and had our items back in 2 hours. When we mentioned to the room steward that our pillows were too flat, they addressed it immediately and adjusted them. Overall, we couldn't have asked for more and we are already making plans for our next trip in 2017 on the Danube. Look out Budapest, we will be headed your way! Read Less

We were asked to join some family members on this cruise, so we did not do a lot of research prior. We travel a great deal & love cruising. The positives: Viking Lofn is a beautiful ship, the food was excellent, as were most of the staff. We had Peter as our waiter, & he was just exceptional. The negatives: 1- though the Rhine is beautiful, many of the ports are far from where the excursions take you. Lots of time on a bus which we found tiresome. Also up & out early almost every morning. 2- we did the pre cruise in Lucerne. Though Viking says you will wait no longer than 30 minutes for transport, we waited an hour. Ugh! 3- upon arrival at our hotel, the room was not ready, which was understandable since it was only 10 am. We told the Viking rep our plans for the day, & supposedly he was unaware that upon check in we would receive a Lucerne pass which discounts boats rides. Ugh again! We would have saved $60!!! 4- while most cruises give an itinerary ((time arriving to / leaving port), Viking seems to keep this a secret. I tried to inquire re: time we would be transported from Lucerne to Basel (embarkation port). My agent said after breakfast, which could be a wide range. Someone else said 9:30 am, & if we took the excursion to Mt. Titlis - we would leave at 9:30 & arrive to the ship at 3 pm with ample time to enjoy Basel. That then changed to leaving Lucerne at 4 pm, arriving to the ship at 5:30, & we missed the port of Basel altogether!, 5- we bought watches in Switzerland & were told the boat would stamp the VAT form since that's how we were leaving Switzerland! Wrong again! 6- I'd be wary of paying for a veranda. We did & Viking states that the view may be occasionally blocked. Ours was blocked 4 out of 7 days by another boat! Rip off!! 7- we were told the trip to Brugge (post cruise) was 2 hours. Well our bus ride turned into 5! Guess the bus driver knew no other way than to sit in traffic. We were also told that there would be nice stops along the way. Ours was a highway rest stop! Luckily the trip ended nicely. The hotel - Dukes Palace, & the Viking rep Annie, in Brugge, were both gems! 8- we also were not told that the ship would arrive in Amsterdam 2 AM. So by taking the post to Brugge, we missed that port too. Read Less

Having Ocean cruised previously we decided on our first river cruise, having been recommended Viking by a friend and it was not a disappointment. Booking was effortless, the little L'Occitane gift and the small shoulder bag with travel documents, Luggage tags and guide book were a pleasant surprise although the doubling up on some documentation was perhaps a little overboard. The organisation all round is beyond belief from being collected at the airport, tours, on board and delivery back to the airport. Lofn was only on it's 4th cruise but everything ran like clockwork, the crew were very friendly and extremely efficient at their duties. Tours were well organised, they even had a group for people with restricted walking ability, and the communication boxes meant everyone could here the guide from some distance rather than crowding together. The standard of the restaurant was very good with a varied menu, with alternatives available should you not like that days offerings. The lounge had comfortable seating and a good atmosphere. French Balcony Cabins utilise the space well, however there is a lack of seating should you wish to spend time in there. There are however a few negatives as with almost everything. The main one we experienced was with the engine noise and vibration when the ship was manoeuvring locks or spinning 180 degrees into a berth. In this direction of the cruise this happens quite often at night or very early morning, so a good nights sleep was unfortunately disturbed. The lack of written operating instructions for the Air conditioning was a minor inconvenience. Their inclusion would negate the need to find crew for advice. Read Less

The Lofn is new this year and had made only five short cruises before we were on its first Grand European Tour from Amsterdam to Budapest. We anticipated some glitches from a new vessel and crew, and we were very pleasantly surprised that there were none! Our transfer from the Amsterdam airport to the ship was well handled, our cabin was ready and our luggage came to us shortly after we arrived. Our veranda cabin was compact but comfortable, and we spent many pleasant hours on or balcony watching the river scene go by. The crew was well trained and friendly and helpful. Every evening we had a complete report on the next day's activities delivered to our cabin, and the times were respected with minimal waiting. The food was very good, if somewhat fussy. So we had an excellent vacation and cannot fault the Lofn and its crew in any respect. The weak spot in the Viking River Cruise operation is in the shore excursions and the guides used by all the Viking ships. There is minimal preparation for the passengers before arrival, so the guides head for the least common denominator in what they say. Some seemed to be more interested in listening to themselves talk and in perfecting their memorized patter than in being useful to us. Our first urban stop was in Cologne, and we were outraged that our guide never took us inside any building, that her discussion of Cologne Cathedral was worthless, that there was no mention of the nearby Romanesque churches for which Cologne is famous, and that we had lost precious hours to her we could have used much better on our own. Things did not get better as the voyage proceeded. Two suggestions to Viking: first, distribute materials on each excursion to the passengers in advance, so they will know what the guide will be discussing; second, encourage independent shore excursions by providing specific information on how to get around the city being visited. Our cruise was a trip of a lifetime. We had just one little blip. Our luggage did not arrive in time, but that was due to severe storms in Atlanta. We did take the next flight and arrived in Amsterdam just a few hours later than orinally planned. That was a Delta issue. Upon arriving in Amsterdam we were met by a Viking representative who bent over backwards to accomodate us. They offered to do our laundry free of charge until our suitcase arrived. They even provided a jacket and umbrella on one of the cooler excursions. The accomodations were first class. Loved the heated bathroom floor. Crew was exceptional and we loved the food. You had a choice of eating in the dining room or on the deck. The message boxes enabled everyone to hear the tour guide without having to crowd around her. The tours were very educational and well done. You were divided into groups at your choosing for difficulty levels. You did not miss out on anything but walked at a leisurely pace. Onboard entertainment included glass blowing demonstration, strudel making and entertainment. Passengers were mostly older, but there were some youg ones traveling with their granparents. Diembarkation was smooth. The crew did everything in their power to make sure we had a great time. Would definitely sail with Viking again!! Read Less

Staff was beyond wonderful. They were always upbeat and helpful. One night my husband forgot to check in that he was on board. I was in the cabin asleep and one of the staff called to see if he was in the room. I freaked out because I knew we were sailing at that point. My husband however is always very punctual and I was worried something had happened to him. The staff person called me back to let me know he was with the guys on the top deck. I was so impressed and of course very relieved. Food was fantastic. I did gain the 10 pounds they promised. My big disappointment though was that we did not dock close to towns. We did in Passau and a couple of others only. It was over 100 degrees quite a few days and I would have liked rather than going on tours to be able to walk into town and come back when I wanted. Other Viking ships docked closer to towns. If there was a reason for this I would have appreciated knowing. Friends of ours who were on the Grand European from Budapest to Amsterdam at the same time we were stopped at docks in the towns. The tours we took were wonderful. The Kinderdik windmill stop was much better than the last time we stopped on a different brand of cruise ship. We got to go inside one and have demonstrations by the windmill keeper who even wore wooden shoes. To sum up I love Viking but since being able to get off the ship and walk around is important to me, I am not sure what I will do the next time we take a river cruise. I don't know if I can find out where the boat will dock- next to towns or not. Read Less

Sailed on the Viking Lofn out of Budapest on July 13, 2015. Wonderful new ship, friendly crew, knowledgeable tour guides and great techy earphones to hear guides. No need to miss anything if you aren't directly behind the guide. Viking personnel where waiting at the airport to pick us up and we went directly to the ship for a lovely bunch. We mostly ate in the dinning room and met new fellow travelers every day. Two concerns I have: this is not a cruise for newlyweds - and I felt bad for the couple on our ship - unless you like traveling with your parents/grandparent/great-grandparents. This is also not the cruise for folks needing walkers - yes, there were 3 or 4! They did their best to get in/out of some of the bus trips, but forget trying to push a walker on cobblestones! These dear people waited too long for this trip or choose the wrong venue. Loved the local entertainment on featured nights - glass blower, folk dancing/singing, classical music with comedy, a well as guest singing participation and dancing (are we really still doing YMCA?!). Had to disembark half way through do to low water and change to our sister ship the Vidar to complete the cruise to Amsterdam. No problem, didn't miss anything, handled well, 3 hour bus trip wasn't a burden. Great trip and we highly recommend it! Read Less

The China trip, Shanghai to Beijing, was a long way to go to see a new world but so worth it. And Vietnam and Cambodia, ditto, sights and sites of a lifetime. We chose the Grand European for our 30th anniversary and wanted a more leisurely experience with wonders of Europe in view. We got just what we wanted. We love the small ships of Viking compared to other companies. The meals on the Lofn and Vidar were most satisfactory. The staff at all points saw to our comfort. We knew we were in for the trip of our dreams when during the first lunch the hotel manager of the Lofn sought us out and told us the ship was upgrading us to the suite as a thank you for our loyalty to Viking. All we could say was WOW and DANKE, DANKE! The accommodations were wonderful and roomy with a wrap-around view. The land tours and guides were great. It was the right combination of special sights and free time. The organization for switching ships because of the water level and the final leaving were as good as they could be. We booked our Viking River Cruise well over a year before we left on this cruise. We were very much looking forward to this adventure and to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. This cruise did not disappoint. I must admit it was a little rocky start when we arrived into Amsterdam and there were some mishaps beginning with the ship which was actually in Rotterdam and we were bused there, because of the inability for this "longship" to dock in Amsterdam due to a boating regatta in Amsterdam. A couple other issues while waiting at the hotel made us wonder. HOWEVER, once we arrived on our ship The Lofn, settled into our beautiful cabin, after having the entire crew welcome us on board, it all became very wonderful. The crew, the guides at each port, the views out the large ship windows, the service, our Program Director, our cabin person, wait staff, desk staff were all more than helpful throughout our journey on both the Lofn and the Vidar which was a ship change due to low water levels on the Danube. The crew made that pretty seamless too, as no one was looking forward to packing up and moving. But, the crew made it so easy and even all the new crew on the Vidar were doing all they could to make us comfortable. The sights, the countries, the guides who were so knowledgeable made our adventure just fabulous. Thank you Viking for a 50th Wedding Anniversary that will always be remembered. Read Less

This was our second trip with Viking River Cruises. They were as great the second time as the first. The ships and crew are wonderful. Everyone speaks English and they are very friendly. We especially appreciate the daily shore excursions and the local guides. Each guest has a set of headphones with which to hear the guide. You do not have to follow in a tight little bunch to hear the information. The excursions included in the basic cost of the trip are very good and give a good overview of the city/town being visited. The ground transportation is outstanding - brand new big busses. It is so nice to take a river cruise, you see many sights along the way and your hotel, breakfast/lunch/dinner table travels with you. Every meal is outstanding, including complimentary beer or wine. This ships are all similar and every cabin is setup for a king bed or two twins. The ships are well laid out and getting to dinner is an easy set of stairs. They do have elevators if necessary. This cruise was the Grand European. We departed the most beautiful city in Europe - Budapest and disembarked in Amsterdam. In between we visited beautiful cities in Austria, Slovakia and Germany. We saw vineyards, cathedrals and castles. It is a marvelous trip and Viking River Cruises makes it all wonderful to see, learn and enjoy. We are already planning and arranging our next trip with Viking River Cruises to Russia. We highly recommend Viking to anyone. I noticed that other reviews mentioned low water problems and having to change ships mid-trip. We also experienced this problem and Viking solved it effortlessly. We were not the least bit inconvenienced by this problem - in fact they gave us a complimentary shore excursion. ONLY Viking, with their many ships traveling both ways - north and south, could pull off this solution to the low water problem so effortlessly for the guests. Our 50th anniversary cruise turned out to be twice what we bargained for! Due to low water, we began our marvelous adventure on the immpecable Lofn, instead of the Vidar as planned. We immediately fell in love with our Program Director Henrietta, and hope Viking knows what a treasure they have in her, and Thomas our charming Concierge. All was smooth sailing, breathtaking scenery and aweinspiring excursions, even when we had to change ships to the equally inviting Vidar, again due to a low water area past Nuremberg. Thankfully Henrietta and Thomas joined us on the Vidar. This unavoidable incident helped us to appreciate how pleasant, efficient and professional both ship's staff and crew were throughout what could have been a disruptive experience. We thank them for that. Would we recommend Viking's Grand European River Cruise? Wholeheartedly. Oh! And, we also recommend 50 years of marriage! Our highest regards to the entire Viking Family! We spent several days in beautiful Prague, Czech Republic, prior to boarding our river cruise in Budapest, Hungary and then spent the next 15 days with the Viking Lofn crew and guests. What a spectacular time we had. The boat was new, comfortable, easy to navigate and a great home away from home. We've visited southern Europe several times in the past, and this cruise introduced us to The Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Germany and the Netherlands. We will definitely return and feel very grounded now with the geography. We were so impressed with how many people spoke fluent English and were self conscious about our lack of foreign language skill. The river cities we visited were all wonderful, the shore guides were all excellent and our crew was spectacular. This is our second Viking cruise (the first was in China) and we are already booked for our next cruise in 2017. Can't wait to go. We enjoyed the people we traveled with and enjoyed our dining experience. The food was very good overall, with lots of variety and unusual menu selections to try. There were always basic items on the menu, but we never tried them as we enjoyed the European cuisine on the ship. Read Less

This was our first cruise of any kind and, overall, we were very happy. Because of low water conditions we were forced on two occasions to transit by bus, once to change vessels from Lofn to Vidar and once to hotel accomodation in Budapest. We found the guides on all shore excursions to be very knowledgable and quite entertaining. The crew of the Lofn was outstanding - service was excellent and very prompt, attentive and considerate. While the crew of the Vidar was good, there was a noticable drop off in service quality. The same can be said of the quality of the food - outstanding on the Lofn; materially less good on Vidar. All things considered, the arrangements for the transfer from Lofn to Vidar were handled very well. However, we were not happy with the hotel arrangements in Budapest. The hotel was located away from, and with no convenient access to, the city centre. Our luggage was misplaced. While a meal credit was provided for dinner in the hotel restaurant, the service was extraordinarily bad and we, along with several other guests from the cruise, eventually gave up and walked out. Other than the hotel bar, there were no other' dining' options. With luggage having to be made available in the hallway at 2 am and a 4 am departure for the airport, our stay in Budapest left us bored, hungry and exhausted. As a result of the foregoing, our ratings for the have been reduced from what would otherwise have been 'excellent' to 'average' to 'very good' in a number of categories. Read Less

We booked late and had the small stateroom which quite adequate in size and appointments with plenty of room for storage. Not much viewing from the water level window, but it encouraged us to explore the wonder common spaces such as the lounge and dining area. Ahh! The dining room! First and foremost is the staff!! Accommodating and friendly, there seemed nothing they could not do. If you had special dietary needs they accommodated with ease. Want chocolate ice cream (not on the menu)? Ask and it appeared. Just excellent. The special evenings with local entertainment and food were also fun ... especially sharing schnapps! The land tours and guides were great and very knowledgeable . My wife and I really enjoyed our Viking Grand European River Cruise. The crew, food, and accommodations were excellent. We did feel that the Viking organization could have been more forthright from the beginning of the cruise about the low water conditions on the Rhine, Main and Danube Rivers, and the probable consequences. Instead, it was more or less a surprise to most passengers. It was indeed fortunate that there was an identical Viking ship in Passau so that the east and west bound passengers could trade boats. Our new ship had to stop short of Budapest and we again were bussed to the city and only had about a half day to see the sights. Viking did their best to make up for the travel disruptions by providing concert tickets in Vienna to all interested passengers and a free sightseeing boat trip in Budapest. Read Less

My mother in law chose this cruise, to take the whole family. We were concerned at first because of her age (mid 80s), but the crew took excellent care of us and especially of her. There were many ways the crew assisted her or made accommodation so that she could participate in outings. I personally enjoyed the many choices available at each stop, and also the choice to simply sit on deck and enjoy scenery. The crew were exemplary. I have done nothing but sing your praises since arriving home, and I hope to do it again very soon. The trick is to pace yourself at the same time that you push yourself: choose what interests you! On the same day, I had a "Mozart" experience in Vienna that was a peak life experience and my brother-in-law had a peak life experience watching the Lipizzaner stallions. Our family was amused that we were both excited and thrilled with our "bucket list" days which were so completely different from each other. In another town, our peak of the day was to have a coffee and pastry at a sidewalk cafe and simply people watch. Each day brings different possibilities, so pay attention and follow your feeling of the moment. Bring a couple of pairs of good walking shoes, and enjoy the many different ports of call, each with some treasure waiting for you to partake. Read Less

Simply stated, this cruise was fabulous. We lived 3 years and Europe and are experienced European travelers, and this may have been one of the best trips ever! We began with misgivings. An email several days before stated that we might have to change ships mid-cruise due to low water on the Danube, and that the cruise might begin in Komarom, HU, with a bus into Budapest for a tour. Both turned out to be true, and both were handled exceptionally smoothly by the staff, and were no discomfort or inconvenience to the guests. We began the cruise on the Vidar, from Komarom to Passau, and finished with the Lofn, from Nuremberg to Amsterdam. We took our first Viking cruise last year; "Portraits of Southern France," and obviously liked it enough to book the "Grand European," from which we just returned. We can hardly think of anything, we didn't like a great deal, and really, possibly a couple of things were merely acceptable, and not exceptional. The ship is superbly designed. The staff was gracious, friendly, professional and efficient. The food was wonderful, unique, and beautifully served. The places we visited, and there were many, were interesting and with time to see them quite well. The local guides were incredible; many were academic art historians, professors, etc., and had exceptional knowledge of the places and what was interesting to see and do. Perhaps best of all were the cultural activities, on board and off. Wonderful concerts. Professionally delivered lectures by professors and the cruise staff. A delightful presentation by the ship's engineer. Wine and food presentations. Mieke B., our program director, presented a number of very polished lectures, and was superbly organized, efficient, and above all, made the cruise a great deal of fun! On the last day we asked her, as an Amsterdam resident, for a restaurant recommendation, van Baerle, which was warm, lovely food and drink, and casually elegant. My wife says, and I agree, that we would go on a trip with her as PD again, anywhere, anytime! I would recommend this cruise to anyone, without any hesitation whatever. Read Less
