After the long-awaited return to cruising post-Covid, our experience aboard the ship had its ups and downs, leaving us with mixed feelings. Despite the challenges, the staff remained exceptional, providing their usual warm and attentive service that made our voyage enjoyable.
The onboard shows were a highlight, offering a delightful array of entertainment to cater to various tastes. From ...
We booked this cruise quite late. I was asked to take leave and the timing suited us and the pricing was amazing. We got a BA grade balcony cabin for 6 nights for under $800 p.p. and that included a soda package, a social internet package and a $50 cruise credit for each of us. In addition, we organised our flights from Melbourne to Cairns and Auckland to Melbourne via P&O who were able to ...
Chose this cruise to visit places we hadn't been to for a while. Wonderful time for a budget cruise. Balcony room was spotless. Stewards spoilt us .The staff were absolute legends, from the captain down, friendly patient efficient..loved them. Themed nights were same ol same ol. They should change them a bit..they were the same as the last cruise we were on. The music was most excellent "Solid ...
The Pacific Explorer, just like its sister ships in Australia, is a horrible old relic with rust everywhere and daggy old cabins - it really needs to be scrapped.
I had a terrible customer service retail experience where I was treated like an imbecile. I advised P&O of my awful experience through multiple channels, but have never received any acknowledgement of my complaint or an apology. I ...
Chose this cruise as it was departing from Cairns where we live and we had wanted to see PNG and try a cruise as had never been interested before. We were happy it was only a 7 night cruise and were happy to get off the ship back in Cairns. The cruise was quite rough at sea for 1st 2 days and was happy I was taking seasick tablets from when we sailed. Many were quite ill the first 2 days and ...
We booked this cruise to sail in 2021 but it got postponed twice due to covid related issues. Have sailed once with P&O before and it was not the best experience so went onto this cruise with rather low expectations.
Embarkation - we did the Verifly before we arrived to make things easier. Despite the website and all the documentation saying you need to wear a mask in the terminal and for ...
SUMMARY: Their booking and planning tech (i.e. website) is DEPLORABLE, and coming from the USA to depart from an Australian port, it's pretty darn critical that this should operate more seamlessly. Added to that, I was beginning to think that their own cruise staff was going to MUTINY! This was a P&O cruise, owned by Carnival, departing and returning out of Fremantle.
The rest of the ...
We chose this cruise solely for the Itinerary - Fremantle to Exmouth to view the April 20th Total Solar Eclipse. The eclipse was everything it should have been - beautiful, awe-inspiring, stunning, unlike the ship.
Where to begin?
Even before arriving - VeriFly.- a total nightmare to download and use. Numerous emails from the UK to try and sort out problems, speaking of which- why do P&O ...
My partner and I just got off the Pacific Explorer - Kimberley Adventure - 8th - 17th April 2023 with P&O Australia. I've noticed there's not many reviews of P&O Australia and this makes is really hard for fellow cruisers to make a proper informed choice on whether to book. I'd like to state that this was purely our experience and I'm sure others had a very different opinion. We've been on other ...
We were looking forward to the Fremantle-Fremantle Kimberley Adventure Cruise and so decided to add this leg to our trip and no regrets! Albany & Busselton were wonderful. Unfortunately we didn’t get past Exmouth in the filling leg of the trip as the ship was diverted out to sea due to cyclone Isla and there went our Kimberley cruise. We stayed in two different rooms during this trip. Room 10154 ...
