WARNING - Let the Elephant Races begin! –
We just completed a 7 day cruise on the Vision. And with the exception of 2 issues it was a great cruise:
1 - We had two adjoining Junior Suites – 8046 & 8048. Great cabins and location. EXCEPT these cabins were located under two ping pong tables on deck 9 and the noise generated from the play on these tables was what I would assume elephant races ...
The title implies that I wasn't expecting it to be all that great - which I wasn't, after reading some of the reviews - but I'm so glad we picked this cruise.
First, the Tampa port was easily the best and quickest service we've had. The ship was at capacity, but we waited for maybe five minutes before receiving our sea pass cards and were on the ship.
The ship was clean and from what I ...
Cruised out of Tampa. We had stayed in a hotel that had free shuttle from airport. Prebooked a shuttle to cruise port with barracuda travel. They were prompt and called us when they were at the hotel.
Vision is a smaller ship which is good for avoiding long lines at elevators or hiking a mile from dinner to the show. You miss some of the amenities from the large ships like ice skating or water ...
Celebrating our 25th Anniversary aboard RCI's Vision of the Seas was every thing we had hoped for in a cruise and more. The ship, the service, the food and entertainment were first rate. This is our 13th cruise, our 9th with Royal Caribbean, and our first trip on Vision of the Seas.
Having just sailed Allure 8 weeks before, we were uncertain about traveling on the smaller, older ship. We were ...
The entire trip was a 10 out of 10!! We loved the Vision of the Seas!
This was our 9th cruise and just spectacular! It was our first time on this class of ship and we were not disappointed. It was just my husband and myself (we do not have children), we flew into Tampa the night before and stayed with my in-laws. They drove us to the pier the morning of the cruise and from the time they ...
While we have sailed on this class of vessel before, this was our first voyage on VISION and we had a wonderful time. Although she is an older ship, she went through rehab in 2013 and she looks great. The crew was among the best we have found an 10+ RCI cruises - everyone had a smile on their face and did everything they could to make our cruise the best possible experience.
Embarkation was a ...
We just completed another 7 day cruise on the Vision of the Seas and had as much fun as the cruise we did on the Vision Feb 20, just 2 weeks earlier.
I'm writing 1 review for both cruises since they were so much alike.
First I have to say good bye to the Vision. It will be leaving Tampa soon and will be replaced by the Rhapsody of the Seas. We are already booked on the Rhapsody and hope it ...
In the Fall of 2015 my wife and I did a back to back on the Vision in the Mediterranean and then a trans-Atlantic so I was very familiar with the Vision. I was disappointed at first that many crew I was familiar with on that cruise were no longer on the Vision. Also the Captain from the previous cruise was on vacation.
Once I adjusted to the not seeing familiar faces, the "new" crew and Captain ...
We just returned from a week aboard the Vision of the Seas. Having previously cruised on the Oasis of the Seas with RCC, I was not sure what to expect from an older, smaller ship. However, we had a great time and were pleased with the experience. While the ship is dated, it is clean and well maintained. In contrast to our cruise last year on Norwegian (Pride of America), the staff and service ...
We live in Tampa so our embarkation was pretty nice. We took for granted how close we were so much that we barely made it before they close the gates!
We chose this ship primarily for the ports of call. We enjoyed all the ports and also enjoyed our shore excursions. Our favorite port was Roataan, Honduras. We rented a scooter and went on our own adventure ending up at Bananrama with our own ...
