It was my family's first cruise and can I say that Captain Marek and his crew have set the standard way high for future cruises? Excellent in every way. Captain Marek's interaction with passengers including his singing, volleyball playing, belly flop judging, Parade of Nations address, and overall friendliness made this a trip to remember. He is a class act. And his professionalism is reflected in ...
We looked forward to a smaller ship short cruise. Our cruise fit that bill to a tee. While we sailed full, it didn’t seem crowded at all. It took us some time to acquaint ourselves with the ship as we have been sailing on Freedom and Mariner class ships. We missed the Promanade Deck and the Cafe Promanade. The Captain was accessible and really cared about the guests, he even performed as a backup ...
Like the title says, for my first cruise, it went really well. The ship is small, for the most part the people are friendly and the process of getting off and on is a breeze.
My only advice, choose wisely when booking an off shore excursion. Start off small. On Day 2, after speaking to some other travelers, I realized I had bitten off more than I could chew with a day at Xcaret. I asked the ...
We chose this cruise because they had a great deal and well - you get what you pay for. The food was horrid, at one point we found mold on the food being served. I came back and discovered I had lost weight - which is clear evidence how poor the food was, worse than hospital food. The ship consisted of mostly retired age people. For ship with international crew members, it was very odd and ...
I wanted to relax and read, and this boat was a smaller one and advertised as being perfect for someone who wanted to relax. The food was wonderful and there were many choices. Mt balcony stateroom was comfortable. It was a five night cruise with 2 ports and that was a perfect length for me. We chose a resort excursion for Progreso, and then in Cozumel we decided to just go it on our own. I ...
The first Vision cruise from Galveston Nov. 6 to Nov. 11 had a few hiccups but nothing major. Ate in the specialty restaurants so cant speak to MDR. The specialty restaurants were amazing and great service. Was pleasantly surprise to see the captain in public areas all over the ship and quite often. Very different from my Freedom and Jewel cruises. I would without question recommend to friends to ...
The itinerary and length of cruise. We wanted some sea days and ports of call with sunny beaches. Our 18 year old grand daughter also enjoyed the cruise and shore excursions. The crew provided excellent service. The Excursion staff was efficient and helpful. Sorry to see the bean counters taking over management of the cruise industry, as those things that make cruising an experience can not ...
We chose the vision of the seas for its itinerary leaving from Bayonne, NJ and sailing fourteen days to Galveston, Texas. We were very unhappy with the pools and hot tubs. They had handicapped lifts that did not reach the wheelchair but were five feet into the air! The pool lift only reached into shallow water and would not reach into the pool itself.
We have cruised on over 150 cruises ...
I can't resist a good deal on a cruise and since we thought the Allure of the Seas was a bit too large I thought that a 14 day repositioning cruise on the Vision would be a great choice. And overall, it was a very good cruise- the ship is older but in good condition and as always the RCI crew were wonderful. There were a lot of upper tier RCI cruisers ( i.e. pinnacle ) and this was the first ...
Excellent Itinerary, 14 Days, Reasonable Pricing- Left Out Of Bayonne, NJ
