This was our 4th cruise with RCL and one we embarked on with some concerns after reading the ship reviews here. We've only sailed on bigger ships before so again had concerns that we might not like the smaller vessel. We had no need to worry as our cruise was 1st class from start to finish. Ship was spotlessly clean, and whilst it doesn't have all the facilities of its newer and bigger sisters, ...

We paid the lowest price for an inside cabin. We were taken straight to the Ship from the airport. Guests that booked with Royal Caribbean were taken for breakfast first. We thought we may be in for a long wait before embarking as we had an early morning arrival. After about 20 minutes we boarded at 10.30am. Although we could not get into our cabin until 1pm. Our cabin was spacious with plenty ...

Splendour of the Seas is a fabulous shop and a real credit to Royal Caribbean. Such a pity she is being sold on April 2016. She is has the most wonderful crew, spotlessly clean and great food. Never once did we struggle to get a table in The Windjammer restaurant or wait to get served at a bar. Cabin 8588 was on the aft. Spotlessly clean and very quiet. Bath with shower and plenty storage ...

Check in was longer than usual as queues had built up but we were very pleased with prompt arrival of bags. Interior cabin 6111 was clean, comfy and very quiet at night. We had towel animals and a very friendly cabin steward. Interesting mix of nationalities on board... The most varied we have ever experienced in 9 cruises. This made for lots of interesting conversations but the downside was ...

Flew Newcastle/Paris/Venice with Air France - flights on time but our worry about luggage transfer was a needless concern - met by RC staff and taken to coach. In no time we were on the ship & in our cabin. We had some concerns about the Splendour after reading so many bad critiques - however, it pays not to take too much notice as we found the ship to be spotlessly clean from top to bottom ...

I came home yesterday from a good cruise on Splendour of the Seas. My first cabin had a few problems and was awful and after day 3 I was finally moved to a new cabin that had become available during the cruise. You may wonder why I gave this review a 5 rating that is because of the staff who went as always above and beyond. Amit from the concierge lounge, Eliana from the Diamond Club Lawrence ...

I was coming from a military base in Afghanistan to meet up in Venice with my son to cruise the Mediterranean for a week. We had a fantastic time, embarkation was quick and smooth, the ship was very clean, the staff was impressive, the weather was great, and all of the port stops were nice. The one disappointment, which was no fault of Royal Caribbean's, was cancellation of the Athens visit due ...

Having cruised with RC before my wife and I were a bit concerned after reading the negative reviews posted on Splendour of the Seas and its cruise Itinerary. It only proves that individual expectations are exactly that - one persons view. Our cruise was perfect in every way. The sail away from Venice was worth our Balcony supplement alone and exceeded expectations. Our cabin was very clean ...

Hello! I'm reading these past few reviews about the Splendour and it's almost as if the other posters were on a different ship. We sailed a 7 day cruise from Venice departing on October 3, 2015. It was an absolutely amazing week. We have cruised many times before and this was our 5th cruise in Europe. The last 4 being on Azamara and this one on RCCL's Spendour. We were so pleasantly ...

what a wonderfull ship even though it is smaller. It has an amazing crew on board. Friendly, smiling crew which we do not always get on the bigger ships. The food was pretty good in the main dinning room and even windjammer. Chops was also very good and we did enjoy the chef table. The dessert at chef table was not the best but overall excellent food. Simona was our cruise director. She is ...
