Ugh, Dreadful

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

I'm currently sailing on the Rhapsody of the Seas. I've cruised regularly with Holland America, Princess, and other members of the Carnival family of cruise lines but this is my first time on RCL. It's moments of adversity that test a corporation's mettle, and RCL's handling of our departure from Venice was not its finest hour. The heavy fog that closed the harbor was beyond RCL's control ...

Good Staff on Board but Poor Check-in and Poor MC for dancing.

The Staff aboard the ship were excellent but the check in process in Venice was painfully disorganized. The servers in our dining room (Paula and Lyndon) were excellent. The steward of our room (Nazareth) was also excellent. The fog delayed the boat docking in Venice. This is not the fault of Royal Caribbean but instead of processing the check in for everyone before Rhapsody of the Sea docked ...

Small pool, cold pool, itinerary scrapped, spent too much time at sea, small cabin on deck 2 - very noisy through the night. If you don't get the drinks package you get weak cordial to drink, not even a coke, shows were naff. Whole ship's guests had to queue from 3hours onwards on check-in. NO time to see Venice whatsoever. Ship as a whole has had a nice makeover however the rooms did look a ...

A small ship for Royal Caribbean, so didn't take long to find way around. Stayed in Owners Suite 8001 Spacious room with good storage. Room in good condition but carpet dated. Found cabin be be noisy, particularly during sea days with banging and load thumps emanating from the upstairs windjammer area. Cabin stewart always welcoming and smiling. Great food and service in both the ...

Booked first time with Royal Caribbean and sailed to and from venice. We enjoyed our time on board and the excursions although they were expensive. Embarkation worked well and the cabin was ready on arrival. Our cabin was very good and the attendant was excellent. The food and service in the main restaurant was very good the serve yourself restaurant was always busy and often it took a ...

Chose cruise for destinations visited Good - food, dining room staff, shows Poor - ship very tired looking needs upgrading Terrible - extremely noisy around pool area -bands playing at mega decibels, activities included belly flop completion !!! Everyone who used a microphone seemed to want to shout into it Disputing and unforgivable - after a delay into venice due to fog which ...

This cruise was chosen as the cost was reasonable, it visited destinations we wanted to visit/revisit and it included a drinks package. Having sailed with RC on three previous occasions, we knew the sort of things to expect. The entertainment, activities etc. are similar on all the ships. The dining experience (My Time) was not as good as previously experienced. The waiters were run off ...

- Overall the Experience was great but there are areas that needs improvements... = Food - Excellent, as well as the customer service of waiters, but had a let down on requested dishes. - Buffet Food are all the same in 7 days and Melamine Plastic Wares are used in the upper deck which does not look 5 star. = Room Service - Excellent, can not fault anything... = ...

On checking it turns out that this was our 15th Royal Caribbean cruise. Unfortunately it is also our worst. We upgraded to a suite for the first time ever for a special birthday but unfortunately although we had lots of space this was the noisest cabin we've ever had so we weren't able to enjoy it that much. The band on the pool deck above was so loud it was actually uncomfortable to spend time ...

This trip, overall, was very nice. The ports we stopped at were enjoyable, the staff getting off and back on the boat were great and made a point of letting you know they remembered you, rather than just treating you like a number. Our main dining room waiter duo helped with everything we could've wanted, and kept reminding us that it was our vacation and we should experience it however we ...
