We heard so much about how wonderful Uniworld is...Well not on this trip
We came to find out that Uniworld doesn't operate this tour..they lease it out. The first thing they should do is get their name off of it
What a disappointment....the service was bad, particularly the dining room,. Our waiter told us we should have gone on Viking, as they are better. Perhaps he is right. There was no ...
We choose Uniworld based on their reputation as a 5 or 6 star line. of the 13 day cruise from Lisbon to Madrid, we were on the ship 8 nights and the other nights in very nice hotels.
The overall experience was good, worst part of the cruise was on the ship.
They were VERY understaffed and they kept saying the air conditioning was being fixed, however it NEVR worked the entire time!! ...
Extensive Review of Uniworld cruise…
Very Disappointing!!! We expected a 10 but experienced a five. September 2016 Douro River Cruise
Beware…this is not a Uniworld product. The ship and crew are leased from Douro Azul River Cruise Lines, according to the ship hotel manager who was one of only two Uniworld employees on board. Both of the Uniworld managers had only been on the ship since the ...
We were very excited when we booked this cruise. It sounded wonderful from the description by Imagine. We then read the reviews and were very down. We went with low expectations but we needn't have worried. We enjoyed it all particularly the ship. We had a junior suite which was excellent.
We had been with Cunard Grill Class previously so some refinements missing but it was more than we ...
Having heard Uniworld was supposed to be a large cut ahead of the rest, I decided to explore Spain and Portugal on a cruise tour from Madrid to Lisbon. The tour director and organization of the sightseeing were outstanding. The Duoro River is definitely not a tourism area, so there was no local entertainers; in fact, there was nothing to do after dinner. Women would dance together in the lounge. ...
After spending 2 days in Lisbon we were taken by coach to the Queen Isabel, stopping for a buffet lunch at an hotel along the way. After a short wait in the lounge with a welcoming drink we went to our cabins where our luggage was waiting for us. We had opted for a Junior suite cabin on the third floor which featured a small balcony. Room was nicely decorated with an adequate bathroom and includes ...
We saw this cruise advertised and thought it rather expensive but advertised as 5 star luxury so went ahead and booked a cat 2 cabin.
I cannot call it a stateroom as there was nothing stately about it, ok so it had a hairdryer and a huge shoehorn but little else - no fridge or minibar, no tea/coffee making facilities (had to queue in corridor one floor up to use machine for early morning ...
A very disappointing river cruise, given the perceived reputation of the Uniworld brand. Although this was our first time on Uniworld, there were many "regulars" on board who were also not impressed.
I believe we were the first cruise that was able to make it from Porto all the way for some time. (the river had been too high ).
If you have cruised on the Rhine, Danube or the French rivers ...
We chose Uniworld because we had sailed with them last year and were very happy. We had a state room with a full sliding door, room 214. It was comfortable at 192 sq ft. You adjust to the space; the luggage fit under the bed, there were enough drawers and hangars, etc. We did the 3 day extension ahead of the cruise in Lisbon and highly recommend it. 3 nights at the InterContinental let us ...
We cruised the European Jewels. Budapest to Amsterdam.
We began on the pre tour in Budapest. We had an extra free day from AAA where we explored by ourselves. Beautiful city. Would go there again. The pre tour guide was a local man and a fabulous guide.
We sailed on the Maria Theresa. Loved the ship, the food and the staff. Have no complaints about the cruise. It's great that there were ...
