I am a fun loving over 50 Australian female travelling solo. I chose this cruise as I had a limited time in Europe (3 1/2 weeks) and wanted to experience as many places as possible... but specifically chose this line as a wanted to be surrounded by Europeans and feel like I was in Europe. This I got and LOVED. Very European experience- 10% passengers spoke English, shops opened from 4pm to ...
First time cruisers from Canada, celebrating a milestone birthday with family. Our boarding was in Rome so we could potentially see this great city both before and after the cruise. We loved the itinerary, didn't know much about Costa so I read lots of reviews. Don't believe half of them, any cruise is only as good as your preparation and expectations. Yes, this is a very European cruise line, so ...
This has been my absolute worst trip ever (I have travelled to over 60 countries) and never experienced such a lousy service and environment in all my previous trips!
-Paid over 1500 Euro for a inside cabin per person with unlimited drinks for this trip for me and my girlfriend.
-I was lied to about price of drink from bartender and later, I AM NOT trusted by the receptionist. (Johnie Walker ...
The check in process was very tedious but once we arrived at our suite I was surprised to see it was much smaller than expected. Balcony was cramped also. Barely enough room for 2 seats. Staff were a mixed bag of emotions to be honest. Some very happy, others seemed like they had enough. Food was good. Breakfast buffet was average but the ala carte was much better.
Facilities seemed rather ...
My friend and I had often looked at cruises but were both very wary about seasickness. Whenever shopping we would always pick out outfits that would be 'good for our cruise'. In comment this June, I said 'We have loads of cruise outfits but no cruise", so we decided to bite the bullet.
As I was travelling from the Canary Islands and my friend from the UK, we decided to choose Barcelona as ...
Our overall cruise was one of our favorite vacation we have every experienced.
Our cabin was on the 11th floor, with a balcony overlooking the ocean which was breathtaking.
I personally wanted to say a huge thank you to the chef and waiters, who have served and treated us with utmost respect and they had especially cooked the food that we requested due to our limitations.
We dined at ...
This was our third cruise but first (and last) time with Costa. They first stuck us in a cabin over the propellers and docking machinery. We did get our room changed. All the food tasted ike it was fast food micowaved for the masses. This was probably to motivate you to try the higher end paying restaurants. Crew looked tired due to working 9 months straight without breaks. Cancelled 3 of our ...
We wanted to enjoy some of the sites along the mediterranean.
Very disappointed with customer service.
They were non attentive and did not respond to our concerns.
Wait staff were indifferent and sometimes hostile and arrogant.
Disembarkment and dispensal of passports at the end of the cruise was at best chaotic and disorganized.
Recommendation save your money and go on an American ...
This was our 35 th cruise, and our first one in Europe. The ship was beautiful and very clean. However, they served a repetitive, cheap, and limited menu. There were only a few desserts to choose from during dinner, and no coffee served which surprised me even though we bought the beverage package. We had to get coffee at the bar area after dinner.
The buffet areas were extremely crowded and a ...
I choose this cruise, primarily because I was able to coordinate dates with a friend and because it is a newer ship. I didn't appreciate how large it is and I found it too large for my taste, and there was a lack of information about some services on board - such as which bars actually will serve a cappuccino?
The atmosphere was very much family oriented which made it noisy and hectic. If I ...
