We chose this cruise as we wanted to go to the Norwegian Fjords on a seven night cruise as this seemed to fully fulfill our requirements. We have had wonderful experiences on cruises with Princess, Cunard, RCI and NCL and we expected a similar experience with P&O but boy were we disappointed. This was very much a down market experience.
First the good bit the cabin and its servicing was ...
We chose this cruise in order to visit countries we may not otherwise have seen and especially to see St Petersburg. This was our first cruise and we enjoyed it. The ship was impressive with a range of places to eat and drink, well appointed cabins and courteous staff. We do not go in for the kind of entertainment on offer on cruises but enjoyed a couple of interesting talks and went to the ...
This wa a Strictly themed cruise although the reason we chose this cruise was the destination ports being none we had visited before.
We have embarked at Southampton several times before and this was the longest time for getting onto the ship, I suspect because this was the largest ship we have ever been on. From arriving in the port by car to being in our cabin took almost two hours with a lot ...
Sailed on a Baltic cruise, great itinerary, weather not great to start with but improved. On previous cruises the ship's atriums have been very impressive, Britannia does not have that wow factor, it's very functional.
The ship's staff are generally polite but the drinks waiting staff are like bees around a honey pot, they asked me about 4 or 5 times if I wanted a drink and they became a ...
Our cruise around the Baltic Sea took us to 7 destinations each of which was a delight. We wanted to visit places we would not otherwise go to and were not disappointed. Stops in Helsinki, St Petersburg, Talliin, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo and Bruges gave us the chance to see many fantastic locations with incredible sights and experiences. I would say the two day Splendour of St Petersburg tour ...
This was our second ever cruise ( previous Arcadia) but found the Brittania a bit too big and impersonal. We had to wait nearly 2.5 hours to board at Southampton , not a good start . We later found out that a gangway had broken down , but why wasn't this mentioned when we were waitng .
The large number of passengers caused some queuing problems in St Petersburg with Russian immigration staff ...
I found this cruise very relaxing the staff were amazing could not do enough for you from the cabin steward to the waiting staff the service in the meridian was perfect , I am dairy free and the food was fantastic the head waiter was on the ball every evening choosing the menu with me for the next day the staff in horizon buffet were very good and helpful the staff in the coffee shops and the spa ...
Britannia is one of P & O newest ships & I think I was expecting a bit more of the 'Wow' factor & was a bit disappointed. From the outside it looks very 'Grand' but falls short on the inside, but although very swish etc. just lacks something. The public rooms are functional but lack warmth perhaps. The decor is a bit on the stark side & I would call minimalist. The Staff are the usual, ...
Our first time on Britannia. We fancied a no fly for a change and this 7 day cruise fitted our requirements to hopefully get somewhere warm. We were not disappointed as weather turned out great most of the time, being risky at this time of year. Britannia is a big ship and caters for families. It was half term and lots of children on board, but the were plenty of places to sit in the sun and ...
The ship is beautiful. Stunning actually. Food was amazing all over the ship. Staff were very helpful and excellent service. A big thank you to our cabin steward Cherrington. The staff in the horizon bar couldn't have been more attentive and friendly. Sindhu was out of this world. Buffet food was gorgeous and again staff always on hand and friendly and helpful. Loved this cruise. Met some great ...
