Never again with P&O

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Britannia

Currently still cruising and on our last two days in the Carribean, have cruised with P&O since 2010, this is our final time with them. The take it our leave it attitude is awful, make a complaint and no-one follows up on it, cancel trips at a moments notice because of not enough uptake by passengers so it's not worth their while running... never mind the customer who is looking forward too and ...

This was my first cruise and will certainly be my last. My wife went on a similar cruise with her mother on the Azura. When she got back I never heard the end of how good it was. The cabin, the food, the shows, it sounded like the holiday of a lifetime. That was pre COVID-19, so we decided that this year we would repeat the experience and booked a pre Christmas holiday. The first thing that hit me ...

Having been on a few Caribbean cruises previously with P&O (on Ventura and Azura) we thought we knew what to expect when venturing onto Britannia a few weeks ago…. The flight out from Gatwick on the TUI Dreamliner was great as expected and also it was a very smooth operation on getting registered etc at the port and getting onto the ship to get our cruise cards etc. Our suitcases also arrived ...

Extremely disappointing

Cruise B227 Nov 2022 A very disappointing cruise. Issues in no particular order. Absolutely deafening noise from the headliners theatre late night shows travelled up through the fabric of the ship to the passenger cabins. The walls of my cabin were reverberating. I attended one of the musical shows and my ears were ringing afterwards, which is when I realised where the sound was coming ...

Walk on board it’s dark and colourless, drab dark wood walls, and following COVID an awful lot of formalities. Spend a day or so, with an open mind. It will grow on you. The staff, seem hand picked to please you. The food, if repetitive over a few weeks, is good, really good. If you are of an age, go to the main dinning rooms for proper service. The buffet for quick and easy, mount your plate ...

Chose this cruise after not being able to have a holiday together for the last five years due to work. It was highly anticipated and looked forward to. It became obvious as soon as we arrived in Southampton to load our luggage on board this was not the same attitude we had received when sailing five years ago on the Arcadia. Not being sure where to place our luggage, Asking the question of a ...

We chose this cruise as the itinerary suited our needs. Prior to joining the cruise, I tried to contact customer support as my mother, who was joining us on our cruise, was given a boarding time of 3pm while we were boarding at 12:15. Our travel agent could not get the times changed and advised us to contact customer services. I e-mailed them and am still awaiting a reply. I also contacted the ...

Happy Cruise if you avoid the C-word and Rumours

Before we begin let me tell you about why Mrs RL and me cruise. We do it to switch off, get away from work, and tick off some new places. Work phones and laptops are left behind. We choose P&O as it's familiar and we know what to expect. We know there are better and much worse out there but it suits our needs. We can also become grey people and keep ourselves to ourselves on a large ship. We ...

Third P&O cruise and chosen for the stops in Spain and France. Food and service were impeccable. Port organisation was superb. Ports and weather were very enjoyable, particularly Valencia (Spain) and Toulon (France) Luxury Balcony cabin as ever was well organised and comfortable. What we missed was: 1. Presence of officer staff on black tie nights, making them a bit like damp ...
