We chose this cruise because it was close to home, so we wouldn't have to fly. We also chose it because it went to Bermuda (and we always wanted to go there) and it was a 9 night cruise for the same price as some 5 night cruises. It was a great deal! We have two children - a 12-year old girl and almost 11-year old boy. We all had an amazing time! Although it's a small ship, it was plenty for ...
I chose this cruise because the departure port was close to my home. I was expecting RCL to provide better services and overall experience than what I received. It was very annoying that the wait staff was made to constantly walk the ship and approach you to try to get you to purchase things (restaurants, drinks, etc). When I'm on vacation, the last thing I want is to be solicited. It was also ...
It was a short cruise to a new place. Very affordable, too. Five of us went and we all had a great time. I have nothing to compare this cruise to, but I can assure you that it was a wonderful experience. Everyone on the ship's crew was friendly, happy, courteous, polite and helpful. My room was what I expected...small, but I had everything I needed. The room was kept clean throughout the day. If I ...
We selected this cruise because of the different ports. It was nice to go north instead of the usual Caribbean stops made during most cruises. Although we went for the ports, we were equally pleased with the Grandeur, its crew, and our fellow passengers.
Each port had interesting things to do, even if you went exploring on your own. The trip was perfect for photographers. The views from ...
We wanted a New England and Canada which we had not been so far. We enjoyed each of the excursions at each port. While the time at each port was limited, we managed to get a taste of each port. We were very lucky in that we had exceptional weather and calm seas throughout the trip. The cabin was "smallish", but that was to be expected, but the shower stall was extremely small and the sink was ...
I was not excited about driving into Baltimore Harbor but found the access eased by signage and staff at hand. Parking lot was tricky. More direction could be given when paying the parking fee when entering. Overall, my accommodations with my daughter were excellent. The Stateroom attendant immediately noticed a light out and had it taken care of when we entered. The dining staff, main ...
This was our third cruise and our second with Royal Caribbean. This was our first time out of Baltimore and our first cruise to New England/Canada. We cruised with our two children (16 and 20) and one set of grandparents (70). We live about an hour west of Baltimore. We left our house at 9:30 AM on Thursday morning and were stepping aboard Grandeur by 11:00 AM. It was amazingly easy! We sailed ...
Thank you to rahoul & yudi you made our holiday one of the best.
Also to the staff in the scooner lounge.
HIGHLIGHTS WERE WATCHING THE DOLPHINS & WHALES FROM OUR BALCONY
Also dining at the captains table & tour of the bridge.
We made many happy memories on board & are now planning another trip on granduer of the seas.
Food was first class as was the service.
Best cruise we have ...
We are a family of 4 - 2 boys ages 11 and 13. Overall we very much enjoyed this cruise. It was my 10th overall and probably my 4th on RCI.
The good in order of just how good:
Crew - A happy crew seems to make a huge difference on a cruise. The Grandeur is truly a happy crew. You can see it in everything they do.
Ports - it helped that we had perfect weather, but the selected Ports, ...
2nd trip on Grandeur and the ship is in the best condition ever. RCI has invested heavily in keeping this ship up for the Baltimore market, and it shows. Fresh decking on Deck 10 and the "crack" is finally fixed.
Embarkation and disembarkation went fine, although the did not call our group so we left one group late (no big deal).
Voom WiFi worked quite well, speeds usually measured 2-3 mb ...
