The good the bad and the ugly

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

The grand mother recommended the cruise with Royal Caribbean. The good food was great the staff where friendly the room attendant was great the waiter in the dinning room was great. The bad 2 broken hot tubs, Broken ice cream machine, unwashed windows, and rust abounding on the exterior of the ship. Now the Ugly I dropped my children off at the teen center on the ship for a "in room scavenger ...

we chose this cruise because it was inexpensive and close to home. we were pleasantly surprised by many things. the grandeur is a relatively small and older ship (22), but it was in excellent condition with little evidence of her age. we were greeted by staff at the port and onboard the ship that appeared to genuinely want to please and who enjoyed their jobs. although conditions at coco cay ...

We chose this cruise mainly for the itinerary of cruising along the Atlantic coast of the U.S. Baltimore is easily reached from central Pa. (only a two hour drive). Embarkation was quick and easily the best of any cruise ship so far. The Grandeur is a small ship, and the stateroom reflect this. Smallest shower I have ever seen. But we didn't book this cruise for cabin. Price was perfect. ...

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

Cruise was great. Food was excellent. Stateroom bathroom very small. Bed is very old, beveled and very hard. Need to replace the beds. Stateroom attendant service not as good as it was years ago. Would still reccomend taking a cruise. I am a very picky vacationer. I have only sailed with Royal Carribean and they do provide great customer service. Just need to modernize their ships and ...

Food and food choices has gone down hill in the MDR. Ate there only two nights then switched to the Windjammer for the rest of the cruise. Service in the Diamond lounge was hit or miss. We would order drinks from the wait staff and sometimes we got them and sometimes we didn't. Had to reorder from someone else. Most of the headliner shows were good, but I've seen the never changing Royal ...

My boyfriend and I are from New Jersey, and leaving out of Baltimore made the most sense to us. During March, airfare to Florida would have cost us close to an extra $1000 per person! We chose this 12 night cruise because the itinerary was appealing (St. Thomas, Antigua, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, St. Martin) and the drive was less than 3 hours to the port of Baltimore. I have to say, I was extremely ...

Dining room selections and vegetables was not good.

We had been on the Grandeur of the Seas long ago but it is not the same at all.The dining room menu lacked variety, and had the same vegetables every night, hard broccoli and hard carrots and baked potatoes. Even when you told the waiter and he wrote it done “ no broccoli, no carrots, no baked potatoes,” you got it any way. The weather was bad but I’ve been on cruises where the weather has ...

This 12 day cruise was chosen because of the itinerary and price point. We took a 6 year break from cruising and things have indeed changed since the last time we were on a Royal Caribbean ship. This was our 9th cruise, so compared to our fellow passengers we were newbies. I can see why retirees continue to grace this ship with their presence. It is small so less walking for the elderly. The ...

Excellent reviews. Despite rough seas, Captain Ante constantly kept us informed of the alternate route and what to expect. ALL crew members were wonderful and ready to assist at all times. Spa services met my every need. I had Kelly and she did a great job. My husband had four acupuncture treatments which helped his knee pain. We took the galley tour and endless champagne brunch and it was a ...

Nice quiet and relaxing cruise

We like this cruise because it's laid back and quiet. Not a lot of kids running around or younger people acting out. It is an older crowd of cruisers ,but sometimes it can be too old. We're in our sixties , but more and more the age of the cruisers are going up and many are disabled. I would take this cruise again because I would much rather a older calmer group of people versus the rowdy drunken ...
