Living in the Baltimore area we decided to try a cruise from Cruise Maryland. Grandeur of the Seas (GOS) provided a short getaway to Bermuda. Friends dropped us at the ship terminal and picked us up. That process was convenient and well executed on behalf of our friends and us. Embarkation went smoothly in spite of two things we did not quite understand. The first was to pick a dining time ...

I boarded the Grandeur on Sat. Sept. 24th. Boarding processes went quite smoothly. Once onboard proceeded to Windjammer as no access to rooms until 1pm. Windjammer on embarkation day is always a tad insane, and this day was no different. Food options were plentiful, and staff worked as fast as they could to turn tables for others. Speaking of food, I will say the food onboard has definitely ...

We choose the Grandeur because it is like a second home for us. We celebrated our birthdays on the ship from September 24, 2016 to October 22, 2016. The crew and senior officers were very kind to both me and my husband. The formal dinners were very special to us. We also enjoy eating at the Windjammer. It is nice to try small amounts of different kinds of foods. We also enjoyed the ...

We usually travel on Silversea, a small ship cruise line, the largest carrying 540 passengers which has double the number of crew per passenger than on RCL. We have only cruised on one other large ship, that being the Carnival Pride, so our comments and comparisons will be with that background. Three of us traveled in the Royal Family Suite 8518. We were celebrating a 70th birthday, which ...

Older Ship Still Mostly Delivers

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

The Grandeur of The Seas is an older ship in the fleet though it has been updated recently. She is still in need of a new paint job and cleaning in several areas. The embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. The best aspects of the ship was the entertainment for this cruise, the dining, games and cabin staff and the ports of the cruise. The worst aspects were the price- which stayed ...

Chose as to the closeness of our home to port without flying and a nice get away. Found the ship very well kept for the age. Very clean and we could not have had a cleaner room and cabin attendant. The meals are a bit only average and must say could have been served warmer in the dining room. After remarks they did come delivered to the table more on the hot side, they do their best to ...

This was actually a last minute decision by my sister in-law to accumulate points for her to move up to Diamond. We went out of Baltimore which is a short drive from our home, embarkation went smoothly. The Grandeur is beautiful, we had a Junior Suite, plenty of room with a nice balcony where we watched the sunset and had our breakfast while in port in Bermuda. Staff and Crew were fabulous, Sheli, ...

We chose Grandeur because Baltimore is just a couple of hours up I-95 for us. Embarkation was very quick and smooth without any problems. After reading so many negative reviews on the condition of the ship, we really didn't know what to expect but after boarding we were pleasantly surprised at what a nice ship the Grandeur really is. Even though the ship is 20 years old, everything inside looks ...

We had a great time. The crew was excellent and the food was great. People were polite and friendly. We will cruise again in 2017 pn the Grandeur of the Seas. We have been to Bermuda before and really enjoyed it. It is a beautiful island and the people are wonderful.Being on the grandeur of the seas is just a great vacation even if you just stay on the boat and enjoy the many activities that ...
