A Big Disappointment

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

Disappointing Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas - July 14, 2022 I have been cruising since the 1960’s and mainly on RCCL since the 1980’s, being a Diamond Plus now. I recently sailed on the Enhancement from Baltimore which is a great port to sail from. I had a balcony cabin. It was the biggest disappointment of all my cruises. The ship is almost 25 years old and is worn and tired. It has ...

Good cruise, older ship, fewer activities for kids and adults than other ships...

Had a good 5-night cruise to Bermuda on Enchantment of the Seas from 9 July to the 14th. It was a bit frustrating to deal with all the pre-board health issues and requirements for getting into Bermuda (yes, I understand the importance and in the end it was a bit of a relief to know everyone else had to through the same thing). Embarkation at Baltimore was fine, although we had go through a ...

First and foremost - the crew was fantastic. They always did what they could to make the trip more enjoyable for guests. It seemed like their hands were tied due to staff shortages. It took far too long to order a drink. For a couple of days the bar's system was down so the crew had to write the account and room numbers down by hand to charge you. Obviously this led to a plethora of incorrect ...

Enchantment needs to retire!

We chose this ship for a 5Day cruise from Baltimore to Bermuda. With no flight involved (we live local to New Jersey) the port at Baltimore made it convenient to cruise. FIRST - I must say the Crew on the ship was amazing! Every single one of them works so very hard. From the room and restaurant attendants, Bar & Restaurant employees, Entertainment staff, even the bathroom attendants & the ...

This was my first cruise, while I did find some things that could there have been adjustments too. I enjoyed my cruise overall. I traveled with a group of 10 (Myself, my parents, my aunt, uncle, twin cousins (9 years old), two family friends & their daughter (11 years old). Our itinerary was 2 days Bermuda, Nassau, Bahamas, & Coco Cay, Bahamas. PROS: -The ship/cruise port is not far from my ...

Enjoyable recent cruise to Bermuda/Bahamas on the Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas

We just returned from our 3rd enjoyable cruise on the Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas (EOTS), and our 2nd EOTS cruise to Bermuda and the Bahamas. All 3 cruises to/from Baltimore. Baltimore is so convenient for us, only 45 miles away, so we are used to avoiding the hassles of air travel ... just driving up to the ship and having our luggage pulled out of the trunk, parking nearby, and ...

Stick to Carnival

We usually cruise on Carnival but thought we’d give Royal Caribbean a try. What a mistake. This ship is old and dirty. It needs a makeover. It smells. The rooms are tiny. The cruise assistants are so unhelpful. Every question we asked we got the response absolutely not. We purchased 2 very expensive cabanas for the Bahamas. They didn’t put us next to each other and told us we had to ask ...

We were rescheduled from July 2020 to this cruise. PROS: Interesting to sail out the Chesapeake Bay and see all the bridges and lighthouses. Clean room and ship. Food and wait staff were great. We had a food allergy in our group and the staff went above and beyond to meet her needs. Desserts were wonderful. Games were fun. Bermuda was beautiful. The app was helpful with dinner menus and ...

SHIP NEEDS HELP!!

Enchantment of the Seas cruises out of Baltimore MD which is close to us. This was the first ship we had ever cruised on back in 2010. We enjoyed it back then because it's a smaller ship and we like that. It was also going to Bermuda for a day and we LOVE Bermuda! That being said, unfortunately this ship is very dated and still has most of the features it had when we first sailed on it. We ...

6th Cruise, 2nd Ship

Compared to The Grandeur, Enchantment is very similar. The decor of the Enchantment is a little more streamiined that that of the Grandeur, but both are beautiful ships. Both are "comfortably formal", which I appreciate. There was an issue of foul odor on our deck, which caused a lot of discomfort, but was finally corrected. The Crew worked 24/7 on the problem. But I realize that this could ...
