I have been on many cruises but this is the first with MSC. For me the benchmark for this review sits against Celebrity cruises.
Embarkation and disembarkation are unnoteworthy, smooth and functional with no hitches, what I would expect.
The ship is large and well laid out and immaculately presented but again nothing remarkable for a ship this size and class.

We have cruised about a dozen times before, mainly in the Mediterranean, but also the Baltic, Norway, Caribbean and Alaska.

I chose this cruise as it was our 49th wedding anniversary and it left Southampton on our anniversary and it was a good price for a weeks cruise to Belgium.Amsterdam, Germany and France.
