Nice ship, awful cruise

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on MSC Preziosa

We chose this cruise to get some winter sunshine and we were lucky as the weather was excellent, with just one day of rain. We flew from Gatwick and the organisation at the airport was superb ( bags dropped off and we didn’t see them until we got to our cabin on the ship). Embarkation was quick and no problems, unfortunately our problems then started to occur. Our arrival at the port was later ...

Was looking forward to this cruise, but extremely disappointed, being disabled cabin was not suitable had to step up into the shower and when I did manage to get in with the help of my husband for 3 days I had to sit on the toilet to wash myself down until a stool was provided for me!!! Even though my husband had informed the company (Cruise Club) that I was disabled on 3 occasions!! Also the ...

I chose this cruise purely for the itinerary and expected very little after reading numerous reviews. I must commend MSC for obviously listening to the complaints and being in the process of making improvements from what I saw. I had bought extra snacks just incase there was a long wait to get on the ship but refreshments were provided , embarkation was quick and our rooms were ready when we ...

The whole experience was fab! Visited Spain, St Lucia, Barbados, Martinique, st kitts, Antigua, Guadeloupe, st Maarten. Out of the places I really recommend Maho beach experience, nelsons dockyard, beaches in Guadeloupe! Food was great in the lobster restaurant, room was cleaned/checked twice daily. Wonderful shows every night. I particularly enjoyed watching dancers. Staff were just amazing - ...

Embarkation was quick and smooth. The Preziosa is a beautifull ship with a good layout. We were cruising in an Aurea suite which includes the ‘Easy’ drinking package, massage and spa access. Overall food quality is below average, in the buffet hot food is just warm. If you’re looking for Nutella or something alike they refer to the shop where you can buy(!) it. Never heard that one before. At ...

After reading so many negative reviews of the MSC Preziosa, our entire family felt that we have to share our great onboard experience. We boarded the ship in Genova, a quick and effective process which was started even earlier than announced. The rooms were also ready early and our cruise cards perfectly prepared in the cabins. The Preziosa is a big ship but well designed and the signage ...

PART ONE - Horrendous Our holiday got off to a terrible start. I had booked to go away with my mother and a few of her [elderly] friends. We booked early and chose our cabins so that we were all together and conveniently located to the facilities we planned to enjoy. However, a few weeks before we were due to travel, one of our cabins was pulled and we were told we were going to be placed 3 ...

I chose this cruise because of the ports it was visiting. The ship itself was lovely, but they lacked in a few areas. Not enough staff. I was ordering 2 drinks at a time because there was not enough staff. They did not offer coffee cards like other lines. Instead they try to get you to but a drink package. No water with dinner, you have to buy this in the restaurant. No soft serve, have to ...

First off, we were told we had a free upgrade. I tried to contact the travel agent to no avail. When we got onto the ship, I asked about the upgrade and had a sign literally pushed into my face which said there are no free cabins. We were told to board the ship at 5.15 pm. We discovered that the ship had been parked at Southampton all day and most people just got on when they felt like it. Like ...
