My wife reached Platinum status with this cruise, resulting in the fastest embarkation EVER. Truthfully, we walked past lines of people to a check-in lady, who took 5 minutes of our time and informed us our cabin was waiting with keys in the mailbox. To make this a short review, let me just list a few pros/cons for our cruise...
Pros - Embarkation - best ever! Could not be better!

We sailed aboard the April 6th sailing of the Carnival Sunshine. This was our 21st Carnival cruise and we were a little disappointed with the ship. First of all, we are Platinum members and LOVE sailing with Carnival. We have never had any complaints of any of our cruises until now.
First of all, our shuttle from the hotel in Cocoa Beach was over an hour late. When we finally arrived at the ...
We chose the Carnival Sunshine due to the fact that it was newly renovated and in a lot of ways resembled the Carnival Vista as far as restaurant selection and it also had a fresher, more neutral colour palette as opposed to the more 70's style reds and browns of the older ships. I read neutral reviews but decided that some of the people may have been overly picky so we went for it. Embarkation ...
This is more of a mixed review and post of our personal experience aboard this ship, our cruise on our recent April 6th sailing and Carnival Corporate. Embarkation and debarkation couldn't have gone smoother and quicker. Food was not as good as when we first started sailing with Carnival in 2005, but it wasn't terrible. However some of the food at the lunch buffet on the Lido deck were the same ...
We paid extra for an upgrade to an ocean suite a week before the cruise. The jetted tub only had 2 of the jets working. Even after maintenance worked on it, no real change. Dining room service was very slow. The one night it took 45 minutes to get any food. The service did get a bit better later in the week. They did not call me by my name, but were nice. The food on lido deck was good . The ship ...
Never been on the ship, never been to st. Kitts or st. Maarten and it was affordable. There were no tenders for any of the islands easy on easy off. The cruise director Emma was superb. Food better and shows way better than thought they'd be. Getting on the ship and off the ship was pretty easy. Navigating the ship and using their phone app was pretty simple as well. Sometimes main dining room ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We didn't actually care for the ship, as the layout is quite different than others in the fleet. The main auditorium is way too small, we went through 3 tv remotes during the cruise, the toilet was split and had to be replaced, the American Table menu is OK but lacked some of our favorites and the dining room service was VERY slow (at least 1.5 hrs. ...
Loved our ocean suite cabin 5341 ! , room steward , food options , bar tenders at Red Frog Rum Bar , Alchemy & casino were awesome ! Son loved the slides & kids clubs ! Comedy shows hilarious (could be more seating though is my only complaint ). Serenity area is awesome !! My new fav ship !! All staff constantly going out of their way to make sure you are having fun & happy with everything . ...
We were excited to go on this cruise because two in the party have never cruised on a cruise ship before. The service was lack luster. The food was alright. The tacos and the jerked food were the best. Half Moon Cay was the best port that we pulled in to. Do not expect anything above average on this ship. They allow children to run around the halls all night with out holding parents ...
Spring break and it looked fun for my daughter. Enjoyed the act of cruising but I was not impressed with the service nor the staff on the ship. The security was a complete joke. I witnessed a couple of incidents and had a couple myself with rude, disrespectful teenagers. Even had someone attempt to steal or hide my mother's wheelchair that had been kept outside in the hallway. Nothing was done in ...
